Rocky's New York Pizza And Italian Restaurant

Ive never dined in. I've always just picked up my food or ordered it for delivery which has always been prompt. Staff is friendly. Food is average. Still heavy in our take out rotation. Convenient location.

Always great food, decent prices, and excellent service... So glad we moved back to Smithsburg!!!

I've changed my original 4 star review to 1 star for what is hopefully a limited time.The low review is because the prices on Yelp menu are much lower than actual prices. To someone looking to just order delivery or takeout, sites like this are how they calculate cost. So it's the restaurants responsibility to make sure that popular advertising venues like Yelp and Google are up to date. If not, the restaurant is selling items for higher prices than conveyed. Who is going to order $60 worth of pizza, arrive to find that it is $70 and then not get the pizza?It's my opinion. I'm sticking to it, and I'll update back to my original 5 stars and remove this when the prices are fixed. Original Comment:And in conclusion........I've been coming to this Rocky's for 30+ years. We used to come in for lunch every day from High School and win the 2 slices and a drink quarter water toss every day. I think it was like $2.50 then for that special.The place is pretty much the same. I got a not very good pizza from here a few years ago but usually the pizza is as expected. Good ingredients to make a great ny style pizza.

Pizza is good. But when I call, ask for something twice, very clear, and still end up with the wrong order for a pick up? Nope. they didn't offer a discount, or even a remotely kind apology. Waiting 20 minutes for pizza? Sure.. but waiting 40 for two after their mistake? Never again.

Wish I could give it a zero. This place has gone way downhill in just the last few months

Great Pizza. Everytime I venture across the mountain, I take the opportunity to stop into Rocky's in Smithsburg.

This used to be our place to go for pizza and subs but it has changed hands several times, and we stopped going. The last sausage pizza we ordered had less that one piece of sausage on each slice and the last mushroom pizza was abysmal. It looked like tiny bits of something brown and chewy sprinkled on top--sure didn't look like mushrooms. The sauce was also very sweet at times so we found another local pizza place and have not been back. I always loved their steak and cheese subs, but the last one had a burnt roll and less meat and cheese than usual.Such a shame; when it was Dicolas, it was so good and then the first Rocky's owner, but not since then.

Sorry to write this as we live close by and have supported our local businesses for years. Over many years we have had thousands of cheesesteaks and pizzas here. But have stopped walking there to get them because they severely cut back on portions. We recently got 4 cheesesteaks for us and visitors after bragging up how good they normally were. The filling was so skimpy we made two subs out of 4. And two of the rolls were burnt. After figuring maybe they had a bad night, gave them another try. This time we made 1 sub out of three, compared to what this place used to serve.... And the prices are much higher! Now we get in the car and travel to pick up much better cheesesteaks for less money. A shame!

We've been going to Rocky's for about a year now. Their food is very good. The pizza is arguably the best I've had locally. Their subs are tasty and sized for a healthy appetite, or lunch the next day. The servers are very nice too.My problem is consistency. On now 3 ocassions I've had the same mistake made with my order, even after confirming the previous issue when I order in an attempt to avoid it happening again. It's very frustrating because the substitution that's been made is not something I can eat, so either my family waits for mine and theirs gets cold, or I eat alone. With small kids it's quite hard to have a meal drag on for an replacement to be prepared, and still keep them occupied. They have replaced my meal the two times I have complained, so I appreciate their willingness to correct it. There's just got to be some sort of communication issue that it continues to happen. I also find the price if their kids meals to be quite high. To work around that, we've tried to order single slices of pizza off the menu as listed, but they have always been out of slices. All in all, the food is great! I would just caution you to check for accuracy on your order. If you have an issue, they seem very committed to making it right.

Place has gone downhill. Understaffed. Good luck. And be prepared to wait. Food is just ok
