A good delicatessen stand inside the NorthEast market if you are looking for fresh deli sandwiches and wraps. This time I decided to try them and the line was not bad. The customer service was decent and they take their time to listen and to prepare your order. Their prices are affordable. The quality of the food is on point. I got a turkey sub, with my choice of toppings and added avocado and bacon. It was sooo good and fresh, chef kiss. Please check this business out if you visit or frequent NorthEast market

I love Rex's! The sandwiches and wraps are delicious, the staff is super friendly, organized and efficient. No matter how long the line, it's a quick wait. I love the chicken aloha wrap and the Italian cold cut wrap. The ingredients are a great quality and value.

The store is technically called Rex's but the owner Sunny calls it "Sunny Sunshine Deli." You can't miss it in Northeast Market. It's the shop with the giant yellow smiley face. Sunny is so motherly with everyone that comes by and her staff are super sweet as well. Her roast beef wrap is probably one of the more popular items, but I'm a fan of the chicken noodle soup. She adds a little Asian flair to it by preparing the broth with ginger and garlic. There's a peppery kick to the soup which is great for the cold weather, esp when I feel under the weather. It's my go-to soup at the market. I know some people were commenting on the meat quality. I think they recently upgraded to some Boar's Head products. She's also developing a new menu. Northeast Market had a ceremony the other day for its renovations and she was handing out some kale wraps and tofu wraps. Maybe not the best for the meat lovers, but they were pretty tasty and are a great option for any vegetarians looking for something to eat at the market.

It's called Rex's, though a sweet Korean lady named Sunny runs it. You'll find it midway to the back of Northeast Market, and the sandwiches there are simple, delicious, and cheap. In fact, $3 gets you most sandwiches on the menu (there are a lot), and they're decently sized.(Sunny also likes to give me free bags of chips when I get lunch there, and thus I like to go back.)

Feeling a little flu-ish and went for the chicken noodle soup. Really. Good. A lot of noodles, big chunks of chicken, and got those veggies. Even has ginger. Super nice Korean lady as well, who remembered my name!

Very nice service. The owner saw me straining my neck looking at the overhead monitor for menu so she beckoned me over with a smile and offered me a paper copy. When I was ready to order, another friendly lady waved me over and took my order right away. The jalapeño wrap was very fresh and tasty. It was big enough for me to eat half at lunch and half at dinner. Jalapeño taste was crisp. Price wasn't bad either at only $6. Caprese sandwich was awesome, only $5.

Sunny, the owner, is probably the nicest person on planet earth. Her sandwiches are the best and the cheapest in town, and the rest of the staff are so friendly! If you need a sandwich at the Northeast Market, or in East Baltimore period, this is it.
