Too bad about the cartoonish hag who manages the bar. There is an endearing cheesiness to the karaoke, performed by local clientele who take it a little too seriously and without the irony you find in urban bars. But the manager is stone cold crazy and seems to specifically target women with her rudeness. We tried several times to enjoy this bar, behaved politely and tipped very well. She snapped at me to get away from an empty barstool at an empty bar that I was standing next to so that I could order a drink from her. She nearly spat at me when telling me I needed to wait to order a drink on another visit. Finally one night I calmly asked her if she had some kind of problem to address and she got this crazy look on her face and started yelling that I needed to lower my voice (???) and just kept saying it again and again until I left the bar. The place has to be a front for something. There are just not enough people there to keep a business afloat, even counting the half dozen regulars and groups of military moms having Girls Night Out. I have met other people who don't bother going there because of the disturbingly hostile old lady behind the bar. So, maybe it is the place to go for something I don't know about. That thing is definitely not a welcoming atmosphere or pleasure in accepting your money.

This place abides by discriminatory practices and the staff, including management, is completely rude. Today, on August 30th, we patroned this establishment and ordered and paid for our food and then was served at a table. But 25 minutes later, a staff member throws boxes on the table and tells us that they can't get the mop out of the kitchen while we were sitting there. A party member, who has mobility issues, gets up to move for the mop, but then we are told that we need to pack up and leave because they need to wash dishes, yet the bar was full of customers, who did not look like us, who were still enjoying their drinks without issue. The manager then picks a plate up from the table and attempts to discard our food while we were trying to pack it up. 2 of our party guests, left in disgust, while another went to the ladies' room and I stayed behind to wait for her. But as she is walking out of the bathroom, a completely rude waitress disgustingly asks us to move. I have never experienced such horrible service. The patrons at the bar were not getting harassed and were able to enjoy their drinks, but maybe because some our party members were African American with locs, we were discriminated against. It then came to my attention that the staff and management had many complaints against them for their rudeness and unethical practices. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. DO NOT SPEND MONEY AT REMINGTON's in Laurel if you don't look like their local clientele.
