Atole de Elote - warm corn drink
Fun menu with photos. Ordered an authentic corn drink, Atole de Elote.
Pupusas- corn cakes filled with cheese, pork and beans.
Pupusa loca- has an edible flower, chicken, pork, beans and cheese.
Salad with shrimp -- tons of radishes and onions, which I removed; browning iceberg lettuce; pale unripe tomatoes; 6 small shrimp. Yuck!
Yacks!

Carry out menu
First time according family to Central American food. We started out with Atole de Elote or a warm sweet corn drink.
No too much fun to see the ugly part of the cows foot in my soup. I had tripe soup before but not with the black hoof.
food
Pupusa party. My girls each ate one. Made with pork and cheese.
Fried plantains with cream and refried beans.
Best pupusas around.
Chicken corn tamale steamed in banana leaves.
I ate what I could, the waitress refused to change my food after I complained about the ugly black cow foot in my soup!

Ordered to go and it was good! I got various types of pupusas and they were all good. The plain cheese were super cheesy and extra stuffed. The beans and cheese were flavorful and well balanced. The meat and cheese were also good though I wish they were cheesier. I tried the lorocro; while it's not for me my boyfriend really enjoyed it. The curtido (cabbage relish) was chunkier than I would have liked but the flavor was there. Overall very happy to find decent pupusas in Maryland! Will definitely order again! The prices are great! Ethnic foods are usually way overpriced in Baltimore so we were happy this place is on par with a typical pupuseria. Ordering over the phone was quick. The lady who took my order was very sweet! I was happy to flex my Spanish and even got a "si mi amor". Very happy overall.

MAMA TANA IN REISTERTOWN MD Horrific Service ! Very slow and waiters don't understand anything u ask them! Food is MEH if that! They have the nerve to post on Clipp ( formerly Local Flavor) a $15 for $30 and do NOT honor it??? Don't buy the coupon!!! Everyone who already bought it, they won't honor it!! The owner was very nasty. Blamed on Clipp! This is about the 10 th restaurant in that spot!!! It won't last . It's a curse !!!

I cannot speak for their entire menu, but their beef soup and chicken soup are delicious. The soups come with a side of freshly made tortillas -which means they are a bit thicker than the ones you get at the market and rice. I have also tried their ayote pupusa and it is very good-gooey and cheesy. Recently they have started their own online ordering system. I used it today for the first time and I was surprised that the food arrived at the exact time that the system gave me.

I found this place once when I was driving through Baltimore and it was a great discovery. The pupusas are hot, cheesy, cheap, and delicious! I've tried maybe three different kinds with meat and cheese and beans and squash blossom. I've been here three or four times and each time the food and service have been on point. I definitely recommend this place. Haven't tried much other than the pupusas and a big quesadilla-like thing that was also yummy.

The Pupusa Loca is the pupusa to end all other pupusas. A masterful mix of cheese, beans, chicharrón, chicken, y loroco all in one perfect masa pouch of happiness. As I continue my goal of eating every pupusa in Baltimore, this golden beauty will linger on my taste buds as one to beat. I'll be back to celebrate the cooking of the illustrious Mama Tana and I might even dabble in something other than pupusas.

We order different type of food in our visit, soup is just one size and it good for 2 people we order chicken soup, do not get surprise if they ask if you would like your chicken on the grill or boil (inside of the soup plate) which I prefer grill and my side soup with handmade tortillas. we had pupusas, a hot beverage made of sweet corn, beef soup, and tamales pisque. it is convenience located in the Main Street but parking can be a little bit difficult to find.

The pupusas, excellent, nice and cheesy. I had sopa de mondongo, and nuegados. The tripe soup was a bit too watery and the nuegados not quite the way I've had eaten in other places. The sweet juice is supposed to be like honey, thicker and the little sweet paddies are more fluffy and silkier. These ones were a little too not authentic. So, pupusas, highly recommended, everything else, eat at your own peril. By the way, to the manager, hire more help, and keep the tables clean. It was filthy when we got there. The service was way too slow, chaotic, and disorganized. The restaurant has a lot of potential with the right management!

I've been ordering from here for a year now. I went inside the store twice. The second time I seen the prep lady that does the prepping she was asked in Spanish was something spoiled or not. She took her hand WITH GLOVES on TOOK HER FINGER dipped it in the sauce and LICKED her hands and said it good and not spoiled. Well she didn't even changer her gloves or nothing. She was also snackiyon food with the same gloves on. I stood up out of my chair in disbelief looked right at them is disgust. She went right back to prepping and preparing a soup with the SAME gloves on. She just contaminated everyone else food with her saliva on her gloves. That was my last time I'll EVER order from them. If she can do that while customers was in the store just imagine what they will do when no one is around. Just NASTY. I went there around 4pm 4/15/2023. I am warning everyone to not go here. I'm still in disbelief she did this right in front of me with no care in the world. She looked right at me a few time too. Food safety is not number one priority here. I wish I could of recorded it but the restaurant owner can look back at the camera and see who it was. NASTY!!

I discovered this amazing Salvadoran restaurant last weekend. I've tried their pupusas, nuegados con chilate, mama tana ranchero, and horchata. They are all 10/10. I will definitely come back to try more of their dishes.
