Love this place! It has so many cool beverages. The service is quick friendly and through. It is a cute tavern bar setting. It is great for groups and visiting friends or family. Eating and sipping.

Attending a concert at the remodeled arena, the Pratt Street Ale House was a short walk and a better option than paying for overpriced food in the arena. For a Friday night, it was packed and yet we didn't wait the 25 minutes for a table for 3. Service was quick and friendly and the mood was cozy for a pub. We (well I) had to try the fried pickles and mozz sticks. The pickles were tasty but the breading was too thick. And yet, they almost disappeared. Mozz sticks were on point.I tried the Bmore Hot Chicken sandwich which comes with a healthy portion of crinkle fries. The hot chicken tasted more like hot sauce than other hot chickens. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Spicy enough to satisfy but be open to something a little different. The menu has enough variety to meet most expectations of any group - friends or family.

Great ambience! Friendly staff! Tiny serving sizes! Terrible serving times!Decided to hoof it down here from the Hilton, I was optimistic. The staff was incredibly friendly even though they struggled to direct me to an open table or seat despite being a 1 top and numerous open tables while I was sent on a tour of the place in search of a bar seat. Finally squeezed into the central downstairs bar. Quick service, one of the girls is taking orders left right center and more. The one guy can't even navigate the POS menu, never mind serve quickly. I order food and a drink. Drink shows up quickly because it's literally right in front of me.Food on the other hand? 70 minutes from ticket to arrival. It arrives ice friggin cold. The lil bowl is hot, but the mac&cheese in it and the sparse, scattered, sad looking vegetables on the side are both ice cold. I'm only here for my mom's funeral so I wouldn't be returning anyway, but I definitely won't return after sitting for 2 hours waiting on my food. I should have left after the first hour but after spending 8 hours on a train and not having eaten since 8am, I REALLY wanted that crab mac&cheese. It sounded heavenly. But I guess I'll never know, because at $30 a plate for a side bowl sized portion, I don't eat cold fucking food. To the bartender who was helping me, I didn't catch your name, but you were a powerhouse out there and you are magnificent at your job.

Customer Service: 5Affordability: 4Food quality: 4Portion sizes: 4Atmosphere: 4Military discount: Yes I decided to stop by the Pratt Street Ale House this evening for dinner, because it was within just two blocks from my hotel. This is a popular sports bar that is close to the Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Baltimore Convention Center.I ordered their fish and chips for dinner, and choose to watch the baseball game in the bar area. This sports bar was not busy and I didn't have any wait. My fish and chips was seasoned very well and it was a large portion. Lastly, I was given a military discount of my meal which was a pleasant surprise.@glampedlife

I wondered why the building was so big, but it all made sense when I walked in and the place was packed (both up and downstairs). Got on the waitlist with an estimated 30 minute wait, but we were seated within 15. My girlfriend wanted a regular hamburger, but Pratt Street Ale only has specialty burgers, which was kind of odd. They don't even have an option on the register for a regular hamburger, so we still got charged for the specialty. However, it did taste REALLY good - maybe not $17 good, but up there. The hot chicken sandwich was okay. Not as spicy as I'd like, and I wish there were some more pickles or coleslaw to add flavor. Fries were amazing if you like crinkle cut!My biggest gripe was PARKING! There is virtually no parking nearby unless you're willing to pay $40+ for 45 minutes in the public lot. Insane! No street parking in front of the building, so you'll have to drive around for a bit to find a meter. But you'll get a nice walk on the way to and from the building!

This was the first restaurant I visited in Baltimore since moving from the West Coast, and it was a short but great experience :) I came here because the tattoo convention was in town and it was a chance for me to explore and get a bite to eat before visiting the exhibits! I am aware that crab is very popular, so my husband and I split the crab pretzel and we each had a local beer. The pretzel was nice and fluffy with a heaping of crab and cheese on top. It was enough for the two of us, probably one other person. The bartender was super friendly and gave us some recommendations for other seafood spots around the area. Overall, it was a very casual and chill atmosphere with a menu I'd like to explore more once we return!

Came with a very large group for dinner. Got the fish and chips and paired it with a local beer both were great. Be aware they do automatically charge 20% gratuity and I know we made the place busy but our server was not great. Overall place was really cool and the bartenders were super nice. Would come back for sure.

The Pratt Street Ale House is across the street from the convention center and provides a place for drinks, food, and conversation if not about the sports on their TVs. Service started a bit slow and became better over time. The Philly Cheesesteak was terrific, using cheese whiz on top of the steak along with sliced grilled onions and krinkle styled french fries. Just a reminder that they will charge a 20% gratuity on top of the food, regardless of the service you received. I didn't have any issues with this during my visit.

My experience mirrored a lot of the other reviews. Service was odd and not attentive, food was not the best, and there was an auto-20% gratuity added. My group was seated quickly, but the waiter took a while to come by and take our orders. The food also was slow to come out. Everything was alright, but not great. I had the chicken sandwich: little seasoning, some of it was cold, the chicken was dry, and the fries weren't great. I also tried the pickle fries and they were okay.I think the main reason this place gets busy is that it's right on Pratt next to the convention center and the harbor is nearby. I think it's more just in a convenient location.
