Portum is the onsite restaurant of the Harborside Hotel. Parking is free. For breakfast, they use the restaurant's side entrance that is closer to the back of the hotel. They have a decent selection for breakfast ranging from full meals to smaller options including oatmeal, yogurt, or baked items. I dined here several times during my trip and went with the Harborside Breakfast each time. It came with two eggs, breakfast potatoes, meat, and toast. The serving for two eggs was large, which I ordered scrambled. Potatoes were different then expected as they were fried in a swirl shape, and were interesting. The bacon and toast were fine. They also have good coffee. Service was fine during all my visits and prices were ok, but not the cheapest. Be aware that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to every check. I would return to Portum again in the future.

I've been here twice and each time I've received amazing service, hospitality, and food! Sitting at the bar is a great experience, especially when watching football. They have happy hour, every day of the week from 3-7pm. I tried the jerk chicken tacos, shrimp and crab bisque, and side salad. The jerk tacos are at 10/10. They pile of the chicken and toppings. The bisque was delicious as well and came out hot. The salad wasn't my favorite. We also tried their lemon drop martinis which were delicious!

I've visited this restaurant before and had an amazing time and really enjoyed the food. Stopped by on a Sunday night and the space was really quiet. The welcome was very unpleasant. Felt like a hurry up and tell me what you want so you can leave type vibe. The food-the only saving grace was the pasta entree. I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls because I felt like it couldn't be messed up WRONG. Outside of a very bland favor the wrap was raw. See pictures. The texture seemed okay but the raw wraps made the egg roll have a weird and plasticy aftertasteDrink-I ordered a ginger beer and whiskey. The ginger beer was flat and made the drink taste nasty. I ordered a spite and there were 4 bubbles. Also flat. It seems as though the entrees are the only thing they do right. I would give them a try at another point and definitely not for happy hour. Last point they charge an automatic 20% grat.

Good food in small portions at above the going DC rate. 2 appetizers and 3 beers = $71.I had a crabcakes with scallops appetizer which was very tasty. I added a chicken quesadilla which was also very good.Overall, the 4 stars is due to location and high price. This restaurant is inside the oddly named Harborside Hotel (It's not near the harbor). It is the only restaurant around. Despite me eating alone, they added a 20% gratuity to the bill, which (to me) was a faux pas.

I've been here several times for several different occasions (e.g., MY birthday brunch, happy hour, lunch date, and dinner), as well as picking up "to go" items to enjoy later. Each time was better than the last. While I've liked everyone I've tasted so far, the JERK CHICKEN TACOS are definitely my "go to". The weekend bottomless brunch is so good. The service is great, the food has been consistent, and the bar scene is pretty active during happy hour and on weekends. I also appreciate the good portions and even better price pointers. The menu has a little bit of everything and offers several gluten-free/sensitive items to choose from. The ambiance is a welcomed addition to that portion of PG County.__I eat. @f.huxI thrift. @DCthriftish

4 stars-Why only 4? I don't mind tipping as long as the service is good and the food is great but when you set it up for an automatic 20% gratuity no matter what you order, I think that's a bit much (especially if service/food is bad). Thankfully, the service and food were good so I'll let it slide. But be warned, you will receive the automatic 20% added to your check. My husband ordered one beer and it was added, so it doesn't matter you get, it's added. Now let's get to why you're here (lol)! The restaurant is located inside the Harborside hotel and they offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. You may also order room service until 11pm I believe. They have a nice setup and bar area to enjoy and fellowship with friends. It was a dreary and rainy day so we opted to stay in for breakfast. We were seated rather quickly as it was not busy at all. The sever was very nice and friendly and assisted us with any questions. So, we came in for breakfast but found out they actually serve brunch at 11am, so we hung around until that time. We did opt for a few plated items to hold us over until brunch. We had seasoned potatoes, blueberry muffins and a bagel. This along with coffee and mimosas kept up busy until brunch started. Let me tell you the brunch did not disappoint! It was a bit pricey (34.99 pp) but worth every penny. Keep in mind the 20% is added. The Brunch is a buffet and I normally don't eat buffets but we were the first people there so that eased our mind (beat the crowd before people came with all the touching and breathing over stuff) the food is located in the roller style pans that close so that's a plus. This particular brunch offered so many different options it's hard to name them but they do provide fresh fruit, desserts and an omelette station as well. It's definitely worth the money, however I would suggest getting there early.

My review is about carry out only. I called on Sunday 02/11/24 around 11am for brunch and the person who took my order was very friendly. I wanted an order of regular French toast, some bacon and an order of pastries. Instead of this woman over charging me for them separately she gave me the meal which was super helpful and patient as I didn't realize what she was doing initially. French toast came with 4 thick cut pieces of bread and 3 slices of bacon. I love my FT on the thicker side and a little firm so they were perfect. The pasties were apple and they were flaky and not overly sweet. My friend grabbed carry out for me before from here and I really enjoyed it so I was happy it didn't disappoint the second time. The only negative I could say was that I didn't get syrup in my bag. Thankfully I was headed home so it wasn't too inconveniencing. The inside was super cute and clean from what I could see, I'd be willing to sit down to eat one day.

I had a really nice brunch here with friends. They had made the reservation a week prior. It is located inside of the Harborside hotel which offer plenty of free parking. Upon arrival we went to the Hostess stand and we were seated right away. We we seated right next to the buffet line. We had the option of ordering from the menu or enjoying the buffet. The buffet was selected. The omelet stand was good: there was a nice selection of add in including bacon, shrimp ham, veggies and cheese. It also included salsa and sour cream. They have a pastry stand with fresh fruit and a decent hot food selection with salad. I chose to have an omelet, bacon, sausage and baked chicken thighs. It was filling and pretty good. Although we had the buffet, our table service was good. The Server promptly brought out utensils, beverages and ordered waffles. Also, he came back several times to make sure that our table was doing okay.Overall I enjoyed my meal and experience.

My cousin decided to arrange a 75th birthday brunch for our aunt. We ended up having about 12 family members show up. And the table was setup large enough to add others if they showed up. I went up to the buffet and looked si the selection of did items. Most of them were pork options. But they did have chicken and salmon. They also had an omelet station, which I ordered. They also had fruit and a dessert station. The drinks were included, and the servers were pretty good at refills. I only had one plate and then some of the desserts. I ended up paying about $50 with the gratuity added. A little pricy but not over priced. Oh yeah almost forgot about the Jazz band that added great ambiance.

I fortunately stumbled upon this place! *yaye!* I was in the area waiting for my daughter event to start at the high school and we decided to look for some breakfast in the area. YELP saved the day because Portum Restaurant& Pouge popped up. A bit confusing at first because the restaurant is inside the hotel but once you walk inside, it's a totally different vibe. My daughter and I got there around 11:20, so brunch was about to start, so we opted for the buffet brunch instead of ordering from the menu. The place was pretty clean, well maintained and the staff was so accommodating and nice.On the brunch buffet, you can expect and omelet station (not bad at all) a fruit and dessert stand, along with grits, biscuits& gravy, bacon (yum!) I just love breakfast :-) This was a Saturday and when we were leaving out the people started coming in for Jazz Saturday and Brunch. Sad I missed that but this place is on my "to do again" list!
