Pollo Inferno

Wood-Cooked, marinated chicken! Yummy in my tummy! Definitely had that Peruvian flavor, I truly enjoyed. Opted for the "family style" set up which consisted of a while chicken + 2 large sides. I opted for the Parmesan-garlic french fries and beans/rice combo. The fries were niiiice and crispy; full of crunchy-garlicky flavor. Surprisingly the rice was good to, with its mixture with the beans. The rice was more like a type of sticky rice, I liked. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful, you can really taste the wood fire-taste, this came with two different dipping aioli sauces. While neither of them were spicy, I preferred the orange sauce because it had a thicker consistency. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, they are not serving their famous steak...I will definitely try this food truck again for that. Happy Friday!

*Talk about perfect timing, I placed my order online and as I was walking up to the food truck they called out my name. Shweeeet! *One word comes to mind: FRESH. Fresh-ly made, Fresh ingredients, Fresh everything! You can taste that the food was just made; it wasn't just sitting around. *The chicken was wood-cooked perfectly. It was cooked so perfectly that it practically fell off the bone. While it was super juicy, the dipping sauces paired well with the chicken. *Get the Garlic fries, soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside. Seasoned to perfection, these fries remind me of baseball game fries! *If you're in the mood for some good chicken, rice and fries.. this spot is for you! It's bomb!

There were several food trucks to choose from. I walked by and read each trucks menu. I decided to try this one out... Pollo Inferno. They specialize in Peruvian style marinated chicken that is charbroiled. Despite the namesake of the truck, I didn't order any of the chicken dishes. Instead I ordered the steak bowl. It was 5 oz of sliced charbroiled flank steak served with salad and fries. $13. The salad was delicious. Quality diverse fresh ingredients, great flavor combo with a nice crunch. The fries were hot and crispy just the way I like them. Yum. No oily mess. But the steak was dry and a bit tough & chewy. Darn. However, I still do think about that beautiful and delicious gourmet salad. They are a relatively new food truck. So possibly still working out the kinks. I am totally apt to try them again, next time I'll try one of the chicken dishes. I recommend giving them a try. High 3 star ranking. #polloinfernofoodtruck

Updating my review to say that in addition to the Chicken Lomo being delicious, they've started selling Koobideh (Persian ground beef kabob)! It was flavorful and delicious in a pita with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions on top. Add some white sauce or yogurt and stuff some of their delicious french fries in there, and you're golden! And it's a lot of food for a good price. I saved half of it for my lunch tomorrow and I'm still full :)

New Food Truck to try out! The two smoke stacks on the top of the truck filled the streets with BBQ aroma and tantalized hungry eaters. Pollo Inferno specializes in Peruvian style marinated chicken over a wood charcoal grill. They also serve beef and shrimp.I ordered their main specialty - Chicken Lomo (stir fry bowl). It had stir fried marinated chicken with green onions & cherry, over a bed of fries, lightly fried white rice, and gourmet salad. Make sure to order a soda, goes well with the BBQ.I was impressed by the number of staff in the truck, usually there are only two people and receiving my meal would take longer - but not Pollo Inferno. I received my dish within 5 minutes after ordering from the friendly cashier.The French fries were thick with a soft crunch and the fresh off the grill warm sliced chicken was tender and I tasted the Wood BBQ with Every single Bite. I did not expect them to make a home run! I will be back when I see them next in any food truck lineup!

Ordered the chicken box, boardwalk fries and steak lomo. Everything was DEEEELICIOUS! I'm salivating as I write this. Definitely check this truck out! The chicken and steak were perfectly cooked - had that nice char and was soft and seasoned well. The boxes came with a TON of salad and fries. They could have cut the amount in half and I still would have paid the same. I had an entire entree size salad leftover!

Pollo Inferno has become one of our favorite food trucks this year. We love that we can usually find them pretty close to home and they have consistently good food. They are also very accommodating of our children who want the proteins but none of the garnishes or extras. The rotisserie chicken is my favorite thing from them. The marinade is SO delicious and the chicken is juicy. Be sure to get their dipping sauces too, they are both sooooooo good! My son will eat two containers of the chipotle one in one meal. My husband and I love the green sauce. My family loves the steak box. The loaded fries are also good. They have online ordering too for those who don't want to wait as long for their order.

Stopped into Blue Note for a refill on our Keg and the smell had us intrigued. A very friendly and knowledgeable man about the menu approaches us and seals the deal for us with "Best Chicken ever I promise you!" Not disappointed one bit, might even return for dinner it was that good! I had the loaded steak fries. Steak was medium, sliced thin and not shy with quantity between fries, steak or toppings. Literally had to fight my 7 year old off of them. Hubby had the Chicken Lomo. Let me tell you, he wasn't sharing LOL! The chicken was cooked to PERFECTION!!! A great balance between all the flavors.

OMG.....Pollo Inferno truck came to our complex last night and for the first time I saw a LOOOOG Line! The Smell alone would make you walk out of A grave! I got the Steak, I normally wouldn't get steak from a truck but Dang, "MOUTH WATERING " Divine!BEST TASTING STEAK I'VE EVER EATEN, No Shit!! Y'ALL, this North Carolina girl gives it 5 stars! If you've never tried this POLLO INFERNO! It's A MUST!!I was actually looking on Yelp to see if I could TRACK THIS TRUCK!

Tried the chicken box for Takeout Tuesday food truck event at Morse Park today. Soo filling for me and I had the 1/4 chicken size. Comes with a greens/slaw salad, a ton of plump fries with 2 different dressings (for the salad or fry dipping). My personal fav was the green one. Grilled Chicken was moist and flavorful. I hope this truck returns to the neighborhood again. Nice service too!
