Amazing time here! Greeted by Femi and he was amazing. Super attentive, knowledgeable and guided us through the pairing of the food we ordered. The vibe is afrobeats mixed with a homestyle eat with comfort setting.We tried goat stew, egusi soup with fufu, cowskin stew, samosas and peanut butter soup.When i tell you everything was seasoned to the core, i mean it! Everything could be your favorite. The cowskin stew was mine or maybe the goat stew. See, i cant decide. I highly recommend this spot. You will not be dissatisfied in the food. 5/5. Highly recommend.

I definitely recommend on checking this place out! When I first arrived I wasn't sure what to except and contemplated on coming in. SO HAPPY I did though! FOOD WAS AMAZING !! The dining table and space wasn't to bad, low lighting and great music not too loud. Service was great. I ordered oxtail stew, egusi soup, and chicken, tripe and beef. The portions are not very shareable considering the food is so good. I definitely didn't want to share any of it but I did. Overall I am really happy to say I went home with a full happy belly. Bathroom wasn't to bad although I did get stuck with soap on my hands because I couldn't figure out how to use the handle LOLL embarrassing moment. Thank you so much for the great food !

I go there for the Ekwang. I travel fromGermantown, MD to get it. Sometimes I pick up and sometimes I dine in. Service is great and my dish is always perfect.

I've had this location twice not realizing it and each time it was a disappointment. My most recent order was a ground nut stew with chicken. My chicken looked like boiled party wings and neither was the soup or chicken was seasoned, it also didn't have much soup mostly chicken and oil. I expected my soup to spicy and it was very sweet. I unfortunately will not be returning. My first visit I had egusi and efro soup and it was flavorless and meatless.

Highly disappointed in the food the cassava leaf and egusi soup was more oil than food I will never come here again !!! Food wasn't good at all ! The flavor wasn't there and over priced for the portion I received. The service was slow ! The ambiance was nice but very small and dimly lit. I wouldn't recommend this place sadly

I feel this restaurant needs to be reviewed cos since I have been visiting restaurants this one is basically senseless expensive and you don't get what you paid for.imagine just a single appetizer close to $30 . Please be careful and watch out for this restaurant. It's not worth it

This place is a hole in the wall... not the good kind.I came here to dine in on a Saturday evening around 7pm, normal rush hour for a restaurant. When I walked in, there were only 3 tables being served. Normally I don't judge a restaurant by the amount of people dining in, but perhaps I should've taken the hint. It was also silent in there. Most restaurants would have some background music, elevator music... SOMETHING.. but nope, I was hearing the other 3 tables' conversations. Eventually they put music on a YouTube playlist, but kept changing it every 2 songs. Again, something small and maybe unnoticeable, but I should've taken the hint.I ordered a water to drink, which the waiter forgot to bring and had to be reminded. For appetizers, I ordered spring rolls, mac and cheese, and samosas, but was told they ran out of samosas... fine. They said the Mac and cheese takes a while to prepare, and said they'd bring it out with my entree. Also, not the biggest deal to me at the time. When the spring rolls come out, they don't have any appetizer plates but rather come to my table with a bag of napkins and have me take one out... as if I'm at a cookout. The spring rolls tasted like they were bought frozen from the store and cooked up. No authentic flavors at all. A short time later, the Mac and cheese comes out, although I was expecting it with the entree. Mac and cheese left a lot to be desired... again no flavors. I'm ready to order my entree, and settle on the salmon. I was told they ran out of salmon. My second option was the lamb chops, which I'm told they also ran out of. How does a restaurant run out of this much food at 7pm?At this point, I just ask for the check and Guess what...The waiter tells me their receipt printer is broken and I have to follow him to the bar to see the receipt on their computer. To make matters worse, they tried to overcharge me for the Mac and cheese. The menu said $6.50 but they were trying to charge me almost $11 for it, and when I brought it to his attention, he said I was wrong and that it was $11. I had to pull up the menu again for him and that's when he said "sorry, we enter in the prices off memory and I THOUGHT it was $11." What the hell?!? I refused to pay with a credit card, because at that point I don't even know what type of business this is.

The gentleman working there was woefully understaffed. The simple appetizer and the main courses ordered were not received because after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes (trying to support this business) and watching others that arrived after us receiving their food, we were like really? I called over the waiter, and he shook his head no . I shook my head in turn and said no please come here. I explained what I observed. He said my grilled shrimp is taking a long time...really? I said ok but where are the appetizers? He said oh noooo I forgot to put them in. . At that point it was a wrap. We exited stage left. No food was had. The music playing on the screen was good though.
