Pizza John's

Stopped by and picked up some meatballs for dinner. I am still eating keto so I'm always looking for something that I can eat that is keto. I take my own keto bread and it's awesome to eat their meatballs with the keto bread. Win win. The parking lot is handicapped accessible as is the restaurant. They are usually pretty busy especially on weekends. The restrooms are clean and have a handicap stall The service is very quick. You can order ahead of time for take out or eat in. I recommend them for parties or if you love Italian food try this place-you won't regret it.

My fiancée and I were in town visiting her parents when a craving for good pizza struck. We had heard great things about Pizza Johns, reputed to be the best pizza joint in the area, so we decided to give it a try.I called in an order around 5 or 6 p.m. for a small pizza, half "The Works" and half Hawaiian, along with a side of fried mushrooms and two orders of ranch. The ordering process was straightforward and efficient, and by the time I arrived--just 15-20 minutes later--the pizza was hot and ready.Walking into Pizza Johns, you're greeted by a big counter that offers a clear view of the bustling kitchen where the magic happens. The ease of picking up the order was complemented by ample parking, making the entire process hassle-free.Back at home, we dove into our meal. The fried mushrooms were a delightful surprise--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, albeit a tad salty. They were a tasty start to our dinner.As for the pizza, it had its strengths and weaknesses. The crust was thin and somewhat bland, lacking the artisanal touch of a nicely charred, hand-tossed dough. However, what this place excels at is generous toppings and cheese. Both halves of the pizza were loaded, to the point where the toppings almost tumbled off with each bite. While this made for a hearty, weighty slice, it didn't elevate the pizza to something extraordinary.Overall, Pizza Johns delivered a decent meal with quick service and a family-friendly atmosphere. While it may not have the most memorable pizza in terms of crust and craftsmanship, it certainly satisfies with its ample toppings and cheese. It's not a place I'm itching to return to, but it's definitely a solid option for a quick and filling pizza fix in the area.

Pizza John's is an institution and has become a go-to for generations with good reason. Reliably good, cheesy pizza with an affordable price point and a casual and clean ambiance means families and groups can arrive hungry and leave happy. I love that you order and pay at the counter, find a booth and then await your order to be called. Nice and easy. I've only had the pizza here but the wings look very tasty too, they also offer sandwiches and pasta dishes.

This is our first visit, and there were plenty of parking spaces available. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we liked the spacious, bright, and clean interior. After finding our seats, we went to the counter to place our order.I don't like overly sour flavors, and the pizza here has plenty of cheese and is delightfully sweet. The pizza sauce isn't too sour, but you can still taste the freshness of the tomatoes. The kids were also very satisfied. My partner ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was generous in portion size and tasted very authentic. He really enjoyed it.We were too full to order dessert, but we loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. We plan to visit again for dessert next time.

Pizza John's is definitely a vibe as far as nostalgic pizzeria feels go. The pizzas are clearly made with fresh ingredients, even made in-house I believe. The other food options that we have tried are really good! We've enjoyed their salads and fries, their spaghetti is even pretty good, which we are finding to be rarer than you'd think. All that being said, the pizza is kind of heavy and sometimes greasy, so it doesn't fit our pizza preferences, but we definitely like it plenty enough to go back over and over for the ambiance, the great service and pretty good pizza with reliable other entrees.

Pizza is excellent & cheesy. The chicken parm sub was huge! About as big as a forearm! They have Pepsi products there. The restaurant setup is order at the counter then pick a seat. They'll call your number & you go up to get it. Big restaurant with lots of seating. They have attendants that will clear your table as you finish eating. Nice place for a quick or long lunch.

First time trying Pizza John's since moving to Baltimore and I gotta say the restaurant is like no other pizza spot I've been too. Great ambience and the service to go with it. The pie lived up to its hype!

IYKYKThis place is amazing. If you're reading this because you've never tried it, you need to stop in for a pizza. I would recommend you have your first experience here in the restaurant, as there really isn't anything else like it in the area. Get either cheese or pepperoni... If you really want to try other toppings, get a second pizza. Your first experience should be with a traditional cheese or pepperoni slice.The fried mushrooms are also amazing.Once you've tried the sit down restaurant, you can graduate to take out. If you live close enough and will eat the pizza right when you get home, then simply order what you want and enjoy an amazing pizza at home. If you want to buy ahead of time, they have parbaked cheese and pepperoni pizzas that you can refrigerate for up to five days or put in the freezer to keep for longer. The heat up really well in the oven, but it's not Exactly the same as getting a pizza cooked in the commercial grade ovens of the restaurant.

Interesting take on the old school neighborhood pizza joint. We went in for lunch based on a Roadside America recommendation regarding the character statue out front. LOTS of parking in a private lot. The restaurant was quite busy, but seemed to be running efficiently. Pizza and drinks were ordered at the counter, and the staff at the counter were very friendly and helpful (I was a bit lost with the experience, and needed some assistance). The pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time, and was delicious. Very good for this type of pie. The staff around the restaurant was helpful as well. The decor is renovated old school pizza joint, a few steps up from what I expected. I'll definitely be back when I'm on that side of town!
