PHO 5UP Hanover

i came in the during the afternoon and seated myself and was immediately asked my drink order i had the Vietnamese coffee which was strong but good , my appetizer i ordered the summer rolls with no pork (so shrimp only) they were quickly brought to the table , i had the 01. Eye Round Rare Steak the broth was good , the restaurant was pretty busy with to go orders and quick spot to get lunch .

We are from Texas and this was our last meal before we headed to the airport. The service was fast and friendly. The waiter actually checked back on us! haha It is just an unspoken thing that usually at Asian restaurants, the waiters never check back on you after your food has been delivered. The menu has a few appetizers and is basically a restaurant that specializes in pho. They don't have other common Viet dishes like vermicelli or rice plates. The food is pretty good! The broth itself was flavorful, but didn't have the usual pho flavor that I expected. It was heavier on maybe...5 spice? When eaten together with the noodles and meat, the soup itself then tasted bland as a whole. However, it was easily fixed with Hoisin sauce and/or Sriracha. Overall, the pho was good, but could be better.

Came in for lunch one afternoon and it was pretty quiet and not busy. I ordered the shrimp pho with boiled eggs and shrimp summer rolls. Both were pretty good. It was pretty much your standard pho place, so no complaints. The food came out pretty quickly as well.

Craving pho in Baltimore? This place is definitely worth trying. I was greeted when I walked in and was quickly seated. The waiter came by shortly and took my order for pho dac biet. The food came out less than a minute after I ordered it. Wow! Takes longer to get your food at a drive through. Generous portions as expected when ordering pho. The broth was amazing! I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee. I prefer when it brews at the table and you mix it yourself, but it came ready made at Pho 5up. Clean restaurant with minimal decorating. This was fine for lunch, but wouldn't be impressive for a date. Would definitely come again.

Stopped by for lunch with my girlfriends. Once I entered, the staff was busy with customers but greeted me as soon as they were done and told me I can sit at any open table. The place looked bit small but cozy. I ordered the combo beef pho with spicy broth and Vietnamese iced coffee. Both were delicious and the spicy broth was flavorful and a great fit with the combo beef pho. This is a great pho option.

I wanted a quick snack after getting a pedicure next door so I stopped in to look at the menu. I saw eggrolls for $5.95 and placed an order. I noticed the menu had other delicious options that I'll have to return for a soon. My order took about 5 minutes to come out. Once I got to the car, I quickly took a bite of one of the rolls. Although it was hot, I didn't care since it was so delicious. I definitely should have ordered 2. But I'll be back again when in the area.

Good service & fast prep time. #13 was loaded with tripe and tendon (: .Ask for a saucer if you need one - bc sauce dumping the broth is a no (for me at least)..Visited at an off time so the entire plaza was pretty empty and the restaurant itself was quiet. Thankfully background music drowned out my noodle slurps!

I feel like this place gets overlooked because of Little Spice next door and the Indian restaurant, but it really is a gem in our neighborhood. Service is quick and place is clean for dining. I prefer to dine in here instead of taking out because food comes out tasting way better at the restaurant vs. getting reheated again in the microwave. I usually get the #5 combo with all the beef types variations and can hardly finish the bowl by myself. I like the broth and can really build it with hoisin sauce and extra vegetables. I've also had their appetizers like the summer and spring rolls and they are delicious as well. I hope more people swing by and enjoy this place especially with the still colder weather going into spring. We will be back!

I love it!!! This is my back up when I'm undecided on what I want!! I recommend the #18 with spicy broth!! It's satisfying and delicious!! The atmosphere in the restaurant could use more lighting but overall, it's a homey feel that makes dining in comfy and quiet. Give it a try!!

Quick friendly service. Enjoyed the spring rolls and pho. Very affordable. Clean and fast.
