Highly recommend! We shared two plates from the food truck at City State brewing. This was my first taste of West African dishes, and I was impressed and satisfied. The portions were filling, and the seasoned and flavorful meats, rice and tender bread were great with beer. Chicken bakassi sandwich (mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers, mayo, mozzarella) and Beef jollof (rice cooked with tomatoes, spices and served with a perfectly spicy sauce). Thank you so much and I will be back to try the rest of the menu!

Everything we've had has been problem good!!! This food is amazing. The guys who work the truck are super cool too; the prices are good too #TIPTHEM well not like that but a good tip. The Foos has just the right amount of soTip: if you get the Jollof Bowl, get the chicken separate from the sauce so you can sop it like a biscuit.

One of the best food trucks I've eaten at! The food was made to order fresh and had a great blend of flavorful spices!! The bread was also softly toasted and the sauce on the sandwich perfectly balanced the burger! The service was exceptional.

Love their bread period. Bread is made from scratch baked same day and the flavors were solid. If you ever spot Petit Afrik in a dc local brewery event you need to try their food. Highly recommend!

My husband and I luckily stumbled across this food truck on the hunt for food for his birthday. We went to TasteMakers first, but most of their restaurants were closed and as we were leaving, we spotted Petit Afrik, a West African food truck. We decided to get one thing to split and tried the Bakassi Steak Sandwich and OMG! It was Phenomenal!!! Definitely a unique sandwich and very flavorful. And they make their own bread which was also equally delicious. Couple the sandwich with the pineapple hibiscus drink and we were thoroughly pleased. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again. You can find them on Facebook and IG @petitafrikdc. Give them a call to see where their food truck will be that day. We caught them right across the street from Right Proper Brewing Company in Brookland, but they also said they frequent H Street, Howard University and a few other places. I loved seeing these 2 young African men pursue their dreams while also serving delicious meals. We'll definitely be back soon! It's worth the trip!

Literally WOW like other reviews say. I ordered food from this food truck just because other trucks had a long line to wait. I read the menu but I couldn't imagine but the dishes are like (pretty long list of ingredients for each dish). So I picked the dish that sounds simple "Chicken Sandwich". And it was a big hit! I don't know how to explain the dish. It's so different from any chicken sandwich I ever had and it was so unique - bread, the way chicken was cooked and salad - everything was so unique. It's not spicy but it's quite flavorful. I hope I run into this food truck again!

The food was not good at all and for almost $15.00 and a very skimpy portion, I was highly disappointed. 2 drumsticks and a tiny scoop of Jollof Rice with some kind of salad. They were at my job today and I am very proud to say I will never go back when it is their day or even if I see them out on the street. This will be the only tip they get, "Do Better"...The food is nasty!!!

Petit Afrik was serving outside of City State Brewing. I ordered the chicken jollof and was very impressed. I ended up sharing my plate with two friends and they both loved it so much they each bought another plate. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the chicken was so juicy. The banga sauce was so good and warm. The food was truly good for the soul and so comforting.

Waited over 45 min for our food order - from a food truck! The food was tasty, but 45 min is a long wait at a sit-down gourmet restaurant, much less a food truck, which by nature should be quick!
