Pete's Crab House

I ordered a dozen of large females. They were small/mediums and over steamed. Some of the crabs tasted really bad and fishy like. I know my crabs and have been eating crabs all my life. I have never had crabs this bad. The owner and his son seems like nice people but y'all crabs suck! I see why the parking lot was empty on a nice day.

First time ordering from Pete's, we ordered 2 1/2 dozen LARGE females for $75. What we got was TOTALLY different! Upon picking them up we inspected them, as usual, before leaving and asked if they were actually LARGES. "6 inches" he said. Not sure how he said that with a straight face. Context: If these little ones were sold as small or even mediums I would find no fault. However, if you charge me for something that you didn't deliver, as a proud, cradle Marylander, I take issue. Some of these babies should have been thrown back! Don't rob me!As children growing up in Maryland we are taught the following: Large - Hard crab measures 5 1/2 to 6 inches in size. Medium - Hard crab measures 5 to 5 1/2 inches in size. Small - Hard crab measures 4 1/2 to 5 inches in size, usually females. We know our crabs, we are connoisseurs . We are taught that the Females, #3, also known as "Sook" can range up to 6 inches. They are typically sweet and usually have egg roe inside the crab. Sooks usually have denser meat.Were they dense? Yes. Were they well seasoned? Yes. Did we feel a bit guilty for eating babies? Yes and No. Will I go back? NO. Three words... Truth in advertising.

3 dozen small female crabs for $45 bucks was one of the specials for the evening so we went with that. Unmmmm, I'll say small was small .... for real. Tasty ... but really small. Once in a while we grab a few that were meaty but the majority of them were small and lite weight. The large shrimp I ordered however were truly large shrimp and steamed to perfection.

I originally placed an order for large females I got a call that they over steamed that order so he had to change my order to medium females. That was fine I picked up the order they were the smallest cramps I've ever seen I said that to the gentleman and he told me that they measure from point to point which is 5 inches so that's considered medium but they are very meaty so I went with that I went home and open the crabs and again they were very small! I would not recommend this place.

This place is like one of those hole-in-the wall type places. The person doing pick-up orders was not friendly and was rude. Besides the bad service, I ordered a dozen male crabs and they were pretty good. I was impressed with the crabs itself. I'll be back when I'm craving crabs in Towson!!

Purchased two bushels of female crabs from Pete's crab house on Sunday. OMG they were meaty and delicious. Seasoning was perfectly done. Everyone enjoyed the crabs and I made sure I passed out Pete's number and location to each invitee to our staff gathering. What an awesome time we had. Thanks to Pete's with the finger licking good crabs. If you are in the mood for crabs. I recommend PETE'S.

Just moved into the Parkville area and kept passing this place, it looks like your typical crab spot. Walked in a few days ago to check out prices and they were well priced. Finally ordered a half dozen for myself today. Let me say they are delicious, they had a ton of yellow "mustard" in them, and they were perfectly steamed. I will definitely be back.

I love Petes crabs! Two times their crabs weren't the best, but every other time they are Yummy! I can eat them repeatedly ..

i bought crabs and agot a jumbo but no meat in really never again dons nd conrad's are pretty good they are meaty the taste is amazing the hospistaly was great i love both don is better then both

never eat at this place unless you want to get a bacteria infection (h- pylori). this place is unsanitary and steams their crabs in contaminated water. my family ate at this restaurant and 24 hours later we are in the emergency room in the hospital. this hole in the wall place as i see people say in other reviews is one not to be tried!!!! take heed to this warning all!!! the star is only because it makes us put one!! your establishment needs to shut down and stop infecting people! if you eat here co-vid would not be your only worry, you just added another one!!!!!!!!!
