Peter's Carryout

This place never fails to give what is expected. We all know that going into a Chinese carry out is no gourmet dining experience. But this place reliably delivers tried and true Americanized Chinese food that tastes good and is readily identifiable. I'm taking a break from meat and the vegetable fried rice and broccoli in brown sauce did not disappoint. Neither did the veggie spring rolls.

Old faithful. I didn't grow up going to Peter's far east coast soul food. But I have come to appreciate the consistency that they present in their traditional DMV carry out over the last 15 plus years. Their are plenty of spots to pick from. But if you in that Largo/upper Marlboro'ish area - do yourself a favor and stop in there. After living in Jersey, Massachusetts and LA I have come to under that there is Chinese food and Carry Out. Peter's is authentic carry out... THEY DONT MISS SHAWTY.

Below average Chinese food. I had the chicken and broccoli, shrimp roll and chicken wings with fried rice. All below average. Drowned in sauce and not fresh tasting.

Best bang for your buck Chinese if you are in a hurry. Sometimes it feels like they don't much effort in their food but it's actually the contrary as they prepare they food warm and delicious for ya.

I stopped in 12/6/2021 because I was hungry and this place was close and my original Go to Eddy's by the Bank of America was closed !! Sooo it's not all noticeable kind of like a little hole in the wall hidden gem for Chinese food lol. The People were alright not as upbeat greeting pleasant but definitely acknowledged you and what you came to get. I met an elderly fly lady while in there she needed some change and I definitely had plenty, so we chatted a bit and Her Son LOOOVEs eddy's my favorite place and she loved the food where I'm first time ordering. Anyways some nice gentleman in sweats said it was Torch!! I'm like hmmmm I'll see!!.. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young extra gravy it seems it's my Go-To instead of everyone's chicken wings and mumbo sauce . I got it home still hot too!!(SUCH A PLUS) , and it was amazing afffff very flavorful the gravy was divine and you would've thought it was my last request jail meal and washed it down with a huge half & half so it's Safe to say this place for NOW will be the runner Up!! And I've gone to all of the Chinese places in this largo/Mitchellville area! Literally lol I'm such an analytical chef when it comes to food no matter where I go!

This food is awful. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken with fries. They mixed the rubbery chicken covered in sweet sauce WITH THE FRENCH FRIES! Who would want soggy covered fries. Mixed together. Yes, I said mixed together! We also purchased "Four Seasons", the shrimp had a strong pungent odor. I refused to eat it. I spent over $20 dollars and this is the nastiest food I've ever had. The menu seems expansive but I'm not sure what they are doing behind that thick plexiglass window. NEVER AGAIN.

My husband likes their wings. Other food choices are average. Owners need customer service training.

The service is great. The food is great. safe and neighborhood friendly perfect location

This has been my "go to" CarryOut for years. I can't say that it's the "Best" but I know I can trust them to get my food right every time.

Growing up, Peter's used to be the best carryout. I was back in the area today and decided to stop by. I ordered the General Tso's Shrimp. It was the equivalent of a shrimp corn dog (see pics). I'm not sure what type of breading the used, but it was not the crispy batter that is typically common with General Tso's. It was not edible. $13 dollars wasted.
