Our new go to place for Sunday buffet. Having eaten here numerous times, can say their food is fresh and tastes so much better than other buffets in the DMV area. They post their buffet menu a day before on facebook which is the best part so you can actually look the option you would get to try and decide go. Our favourite thing to do is peek every Saturday to see whats new on the menu . We go here about once every Month/2 monthsDefinitely a must try place . Great Chai !

We had a fairly lackluster experience this time. One of the desserts was unavailable, and one was missing from the bag. They replaced the unavailable dessert with another, but we didn't know about the missing one until we got home.I asked if the one bag had our entire order for 4 people, because it looked a little "light" based on what we'd ordered. I was assured that it did. That's because it seems that the non-biryani dishes don't come with rice - curry & tikka masala without rice? That's ridiculous. Fortunately, we had some leftover rice in the fridge.Spice-wise, their "mild" is actually a bit spicy. The heat builds on several of their dishes, but not on the flavorful Chettinad chicken curry. The double ka meeta, which they replaced the unavailable mango rasamalai with, was very good. A bit too much syrup and not enough bread, but still very good.I'm not sure that we'll be back after this visit.

We got takeout dinner last night from Persis Biryani Indian Grill. This was our first time trying Persis. It is located a few streets away from our home it is a short drive. My partner had coworkers that were Indian recommend this restaurant as the real deal for authentic Indian cuisine. I had the Bindi Masala and he had the Biryani. We shared an order of Samosas. We asked for medium heat. The food was so delicious. It was literally out of this world good. They give you a lot of food too. We had it for dinner and there are enough leftovers for dinner again tonight. The price was very reasonable compared to other similar restaurants in Baltimore County.I would definitely recommend Persis. Lots of parking. Seating for inside dining or takeout. Very clean and neat inside. Very busy place with lots and lots of people stopping to get takeout. Our order did take about an hour to get after placing the order so I recommend calling ahead to place your takeout order. They are very busy. And the medium heat is definitely very spicy, in the best way. Yum. I will be back again!

I came here because the Yelp reviews were good. I must have ordered the wrong thing. I did a pickup for gobi manchurian and samosas. The samosas were decent but not my favorite. The gobi manchurian, just do not order this. Maybe I had high hopes but this was very much straight from a frozen food box. The sauce was super salty and the gobi tasted like it was microwaved and the sauce was added. After a few bites, I trashed it. I was the only guest inside besides a bunch of folks picking up orders. I'll stick to my place in Catonsville. 2 stars for the friendly service and decent samosas.

Been meaning to try this place since I saw them move in not that long ago. Overall a solid place! They do have indoor dining and takeout. When I came to pick up my order there were two families at different tables well separated. Masks are required to enter. I was kind of disappointed that I came at 6:15 to pickup an online order for 6:00 and they seemed surprised that I was there already; I think it took them about 10 minutes to get everything together for me. The interior is simply decorated by pretty: there is a Buddha in Lotus pose, a TV playing India's top music videos, and some art on the walls. The food will not disappoint. I like spicy food, and the default of Medium on their online ordering has a kick, so my family had to make sure to cover things in raita to cool it down. We got palak paneer, which was good, but I think they could've cut the paneer cubes a tad smaller; they were huge! The chicken tikka masala was very tasty, though it was missing something... maybe salt? The shrimp curry had a nice spicy gravy to go with it and the malai kofta (my favorite) was superb. We got a bread basket, which came with various types of naan and tandoor roti. I'd love to see them add poori as an option, but if you have a family that loves bread for Indian food, this is a great way to get a bunch and try the various types. A couple of mango lassis to wash it down and it is a solid meal. The food's good and the prices are reasonable. I'd consider coming back.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at this place. The service is not only bad (in fact, you can't even call it service), the waitress, a college going kid is very rude and disrespectful. The restaurant is heavily understaffed for a Friday evening surge in business. It was busy with carryout orders with people waiting to pickup their food. We went in for a dine-in and there was no one to take our order or bring the food for us even after an hour. No big deal The kids working there have no idea how to handle that rush and resorted to being abusive to diners-in customers. She refused to bring some onions to go with my biryani. She flat out said they dont have any onions to give out to dine-in people because she couldn't ask the kitchen staff to chop onions because she is sympathetic to them being busy. I tried to reason with her after checkout. People who want food from the restaurant, get carryout. People looking for a dining experience, go in as dine-in customers. The behavior of waitresses determine the guest's experience, and in our case, it was ruined.I didn't want or expect her to apologize to me. I just wanted to let her know that my experience was less than deserved. She simply said she doesn't care and still was adamant that if gets a makeover, she would do the same thing again. People with this attitude shouldn't work in the hospitality industry, but again, for these college kids, it is a temp job, so they don't care.Keep your money and self-respect to yourself and avoid going here. You will thank me later.I wish I could give 0 stars.

Used to be good, but now portions are reduced, quality has gone down and customer service is non-existent! When I mentioned about food quality the chef and the bloke at counter started shouting at me. Just walked out from there. They have lost a regular customer

Decided to give their Sunday buffet a try based on the reviews. What a mistake! Virtually no service or ambiance. First thing I noticed when I arrived about 2 hours into the affair was that there were no clean tables in the entire restaurant. Used napkins, paper cups, scraps of food, dirty plates everywhere and no one seemed to notice. There were several employees chatting at the front counter but they showed little interest in serving customers. However, one of the staff did approach me before I had anything on my plate to tell me that there were, "No refills!" Are you kidding me? At a buffet ...?Oh, and apparently that rule doesn't apply to the Indian patrons. How rude.Forks and spoons were white plastic, there were no knives of any kind and the bowls were made of paper. No cups or glasses; just a few used 4 ounce paper ones littered here and there at the buffet. Someone must really hate doing the dishes.Much of the food had already been eaten. Some of the items were completely gone and there was little interest in replacing anything. No one offered to clean the table, bring some water, or asked whether I needed anything. How does a dump like this stay in business? First time I never felt obliged to leave a tip. Won't be back anytime soon.
