Peri Peri Original & Kallisto Steakhouse

Disappointed after eating here for the first time. Service and ambiance were fine but the food was barely edible. I got the peri peri chicken wrap and the shrimp tacos. The wrap was soggy full of some mayo/creamy sauce (wayyy too much), chicken had very little flavor, seemed like it was baked and chopped up, not sure but fast food chicken is better. Lots of iceberg lettuce and tasteless tomato. For $11! Shrimp tacos very similar- tons of sauce and the shrimp were chewy. Tortillas did not seem fresh at all. I was expecting something along the lines of Nando's and this definitely was not. I wish I had just gone to Polka Deli or Wendy's across the street. Very disappointed and cannot recommend. Maybe the other dishes are better but I won't be back.

Holy cow (some pun intended)! Their smash burger was deeeeeelicious!!!Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I went with the standard cheeseburger and will 100% be coming back for many more. Also, the staff there could not be more friendly.

I have been here quite a few times now, today was actually the fastest we got our food. Most of the time it's adventures in pokey town but I like the food a lot so I bring some knitting for while I wait, but today I didn't even get a full row done before they brought out the food, so thumbs up! Usually, it's incredibly slow so I don't recommend coming if you're in a hurry.I almost always get the chicken peri wrap and most of the time it's very good with lots of the sauce so super flavorful. If I have a side I can only eat half the wrap at once. Today I tried the seasoned rice as a side and I liked it, it has some actual heat to it and they gave me way too much so I'll be using the leftovers with tonight's saag paneer and I have half my wrap left for tomorrow's lunch.They have several items that are similar (wrap vs. pita vs. burrito) but I usually get the wrap. Hubby got the burrito today which was like the wrap but with some rice and beans in it as well as the chicken, veggies and sauce. I've never ordered from the steakhouse side of the house so to speak, but I do really like the peri peri here, I think it's better than the other chain in the area. Hubby did get a burger one time and thought it was pretty decent but usually we just get chicken.

Enjoyed the saucy and flavorful wings! The place is fast casual with comfortable seating. However, the customer service is what makes this place shine - thanks Sammy!

They serve amazing chicken! I've been ordering delivery a lot from here ever since I tried their chicken tacos for the first time. They give a lot of chicken compared to taco and you can tell the meat is genuinely marinated. Lemon and herb give a tangy flavor and their sauces complement the meat very well. I'm so glad to have a restaurant like this in this neighborhood!

I got invited to checkout the NEW Peri Peri Original location in Silver Spring and was so excited because I've been to the one in Laurel more times than I'd like to admit and because this new location is in my hometown of Colesville!I always get the honey butter fried chicken sandwich and it's so good! It's my favorite menu item and rivals other fried chicken sandwiches, like the ones from Roaming Rooster. During this visit at the new Silver Spring location, I also got to try their steak, tacos, and mint lemonade. The mint lemonade reminded me of when I would always order one when I visited Dubai. It was delicious and I also enjoyed the steak and the rest of the food.Being brand new, they are still working out some quirks when it comes to service and efficiency, but I think they are a great addition to Silver Spring.

OK so...read me out. Their fried chicken sandwich is better than Popeyes. Yes, you read me. BETTER THAN POPEYES! It can be customized with different sauces and there's an array of sides to choose from if you desire a little something extra :) We're talking perfectly crispy tenders on a soft bun with mayo (for the classic), or you could get honey butter/honey garlic/Nashville hot/buffalo, ooooor you could even get the fillet that's grilled after a 24hr marinade. The sauces on the side are mango lime (tastes likes a vinaigrette), lemon herb (has a creamy mouthfeel and a personal favorite), mild, garlic, hot, and extra hot.I only tried their sandwich, but the next go around will include some sides and flame-grilled chicken. ***UPDATE***Tried their onion rings (perfectly crispy and fresh), Honey Butter Sandwich (the flavor is WOW, and I'm not a fan of honey butter), peri peri fries were delicious but could use a little more crisp, and the shrimp tacos were filled with juicy, flavorful shrimp and fresh toppings. 10/10 :D Located in Colesville shopping center, I can see this turning into a family hotspot once their Kallisto Steakhouse menu rolls out. There will be mocktails (remember, it's Halal), milkshakes, burgers, specialty platters, steaks, and open-fired grilled chicken with sides. A carnivores dream! The seating area is also clean and comfortable-looking. Suitable for a small group or family meal. ***Shoutout to Tracy for patiently waiting for me to decide, only to choose one item that might be the simplest one on the menu. You're a real one. This place is excellent! I've been here 5 times over the past several months for both take out and dining in and slowly discovering what I love, what I like and what I think needs improvement. First off, the peri fries are delicious. They sprinkle a seasoning on their fries and it's addictive. I've learned that I really love that seasoning so I asked if they could sprinkle more on and they gladly did. Note that the seasoning is somewhat spicy the more you sprinkle on. Also excellent is their fried chicken sandwich. I've tried the honey garlic version on a quality brioche bun and it was outstanding - crunchy, moist and very tasty. It ranks up there as one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. I'm sure the others on their menu are the same. I recently tried their grilled chicken wings and they also very good with a charcoal grill flavor to them. The wings were a tad dry but delicious nonetheless. I would get these again.I have also tried their burgers and I have to say, this is where there is room for improvement. As a previous reviewer said, there is quite a bit of gristle in the ground up beef. It can make it somewhat unpleasant to eat. The taste of the burger was fine, but be prepared to have dental floss handy if having gristle stuck in your teeth makes you uncomfortable. Also, it would be nice if the same good brioche bun was toasted for the burger, maybe even buttered. If the burger meat can be fixed, I would order the burger again, but until then it would be a pass for me on this menu item. This and the fact that they don't have many no-sugar drinks (I.e. unsweet iced tea), keeps me from giving an enthusiastic 5-stars. It's easily a very strong 4 stars for me. Service here has always been great and I've never had to wait an unusually long amount of time for my order. Glad to have this place around and I'll definitely be back again to also try their tacos, which look incredible from the pics I've seen.

Here's hoping they to got their AC fixed, our last visit was brutally warm. My visit to this restaurant was not disappointing, we had the peri chicken strip salad, the original beef, cheese burger, mango mojito and lemonade. Four stars to the food. The robot delivery person was genius. Our cashier Therese deserves a raise. Would I go back?, probably not the business didn't serve liquor. Sorry no food photos.
