Pennsylvania Dutch Farmers Market

I only tried one spot in here. I would go again, but j was slightly overwhelmed and it was fairly busy. Seemed to have a lot of reasonably priced things. There are many things to try from food and snacks to various goods (even got pets). The pretzels had a looooong line, so I will definitely try this next time I'm in town.

I came for a quick visit just because I was in the area, but there is a nice selection here and it deserves some time to really look around and see everything.I got chicken and potatoes from the main stand (I forgot the name but it was where the concentration of people were in line). Both the rotisserie chicken and potatoes were delicious!We also got ribs and pastries galore. There was a good selection at 2 different bakeries that I saw. I look forward to coming back and seeing what else is around!

Thursday 10/17/2024This is the sixth newest MD Dutch market I've visited and I think it's good to say I'm done finding new ones in the MD area as I've pretty much hit all of them. This Dutch market was located in cockeyesville, Maryland (a place I've never been) which took a 1 hr & 10 min drive there and an even longer drive back home. I ended up going to 9 different food vendors and spending a total of $186.40. - From welsh mountain deli, I got the bread pudding $4.93.- From the bakery, I got the carrot cake (half) $11.50, pumpkin roll (whole) $9.95, Oreo cheesecake slice $4.99, cream cheese cinnamon roll 6 pk $7.99, cinnamon roll $2.25, and (plain) sticky bun $2.50.- From mays donuts, I got a French apple fry pie $3.15 and half dozen donuts $9: glazed, cookies n cream, pumpkin cream, blueberry fritter, apple fritter, and apple caramel.- From R & B fruits, I got half gallons of strawberry lemonade $4.99, grape lemonade $4.99, and citrus blend $8.50.- From zooks family restaurant, I got the cheesesteak deluxe ($11.49) with add on fries (+$2.99) and the zooks French toast breakfast special $14.49.- From Mexican on the run, I got the bmore quesadilla $17.- From pretzels/logs vendor, I got the chipped steak cheese $4.25, buffalo chicken $3.95, and a cinnamon pretzel ($2.55) with icing (+.25).- From stoltzfus bar-b-que pit, I got the baby back ribs $8.18, 5x breaded wings $5.60, 6x bbq wings $6.01, 5x old bay wings $5.60, 5x rotisserie wings $5.40, and a pound of bbq potatoes $5.34.- From Dutch harbor seafood, I got the crab stuffed rock fish $19 (I was offered a free sample of it and after trying it, I really enjoyed it).Before getting into the food rankings and ratings, I wanted to say that the big difference between this Dutch market is that they have a seafood vendor and a Mexican food vendor which is something I haven't seen from any other Dutch market until now.S tier: carrot cake, carb stuffed rock fish.A tier (GOOD): bmore quesadilla, cookies n cream donut, Oreo cheesecake slice, cheesesteak deluxe, pumpkin cream donut, apple fritter donut, homemade bread pudding, bbq wings, and buffalo chicken log.B tier (they coo / they aight): old bay wings, breaded wings, blueberry fritter donut, cream cheese cinnamon rolls 6 pk, cinnamon pretzel with icing, pumpkin roll, strawberry lemonade, chipped steak cheese log, rotisserie wings, and sticky bun.C tier (MID): French apple fry pie, bbq potatoes, glazed donut, cinnamon roll, apple caramel donut, French fries, grape lemonade, citrus blend, and baby back ribs.D tier (TERRIBLE): zooks French toast breakfast specialThe reason the zooks French toast breakfast special is the only one in the terrible tier is due to it legit being terrible but also due to the fact that there was hair in my food (luckily I was able to get a refund for part of the order at $6.14). Overall, it was a solid experience at this Dutch market and I'd say it's number 5 (of 6) when it comes to the best Maryland Dutch markets I've been to. My actual MD Dutch market list (in order) is: 1-Annapolis, 2-laurel, 3-Germantown, 4-Hagerstown, 5-cockeyesville, and 6-upper Marlboro.

Great variety of food stalls and gift stores . Today I shopped at the Dutch Harbor Seafood shop . Great service and awesome Jumbo Shrimp . We often get the Salmon to cook at home .

I visited this market last weekend with my husband. A few people had recommended it to me, and it's very near my office, so I'm surprised it took me so long to check it out. The produce section is very limited, but I was impressed by the butcher counter. I'm definitely going to remember it the next time I'm cooking and need some harder to find cuts of meat. The bakery section was really nice, too - if you have a sweet tooth (I don't have much of one but did take a look around to see the variety of what they sell)! Definitely pay attention to their hours (they're only open Thursday-Saturday), but it's worth checking out.

Fresh poultry and dairy are available here. I can taste the difference in the locally produced chicken and turkey. The variety of fresh produce includes grapes, strawberries, and onions. Lots of baked goods to choose from like donuts and pretzels. Open on Thursdays thru Saturday which means it can get pretty busy.

Todaaaay 12-27-24 was my second time! and I sat in for breakfast but asked for the famous Meatloaf!, which the two sides I ordered the mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac & cheese but didn't like it so I sent it back and got broccoli which needed some salt pepper garlic it was just steamed!.. the meatloaf was Good!! I think it tasted better paired with the gravy that comes with the mashed potatoes than the one they put on it otherwise Mandy was a gem, she checked on our table, she checked to see if something could be acceptable which I appreciate because I enjoyed my meatloaf & mashed potatoes very much!!... I got some niiice Jumbo Lump from the seafood section and I didn't meet him last time but today I met Mr Chuck/Carlton and he was very insightful and helpful and even educated me on the differences with packing crab meat and conversational and funny! He was awesome and a ppl person and so nice. Suggested meal options the crab cakes are amazing!! Next time I'm getting some prepackaged!... I got 4 lbs of the Maple Glazed Bacon that I can't get anywhere else! And some slim jims (snack sticks( spicy & apple maple). Got some donuts for mama never knew they had black raspberry filled donut just got a regular one!.. the strawberry jam at the zooks restaurant is absolutely FRESH I have to get some!.. overall I'll be back soon for a tomahawk steak!

This Amish market really is a gem. They are typically open later in week like Thursday-Saturday with set hours. Definitely check store hours before heading out. They have a wide variety of deli specialties, various salads, baked goods, hot foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat counter with cooked and fresh meats along with other hot food items. When you visit plan on purchasing a buffet of food some for now along with dinner meals for later. This was my first time checking out the furniture store. Boy, I am I in love with the live wood tables and they have a pretty good selection and I believe you can make custom orders. This is where Beyonce got Blu Ivy's name based on the wood. They have outdoor furniture that is extremely well made. I can't to purchase an outdoor furniture set. The lady was super nice to add pink sprinkles to my daughter's existing cake. The smoothies were made with fresh fruits. The seafood salad was devoured in the car and the bacon/cheddar stuffed baked potato was placed in the toaster oven later for dinner. There is plenty of parking. There is available seating inside. Absolutely, I will be back.

We always enjoy getting food and things from Pennsylvania Dutch Market. Especially when it's on way back home from our vacation, we had to get their pretzels. The best!

Excellent selection, some vendors rather steep in price. You can get hot prepared food or baked goods, bulk, candy, deli to go. There are also various soft goods and home decor shops. Recommended.
