This is not a bad Chinese restaurant located in downtown Baltimore. The service is polite and cooking of the food is quick. I ordered General Tso's chicken and egg roll. The egg roll was decent, the General Tso's was good, not the best I've had, but I definitely have no room to complain about the order. I would definitely come here again. This is a great place to pick up some grub or to have it quickly delivered to your door. There is seating inside, but I would prefer to take the food to go.

Great Chinese restaurant! I have been going there for years. Unfortunately, when I ordered lunch today online, I found out they are closed for "renovations" indefinitely (after walking a few blocks to pick up my food). Thankfully I did not pay online. Their website needs to note the restaurant's closure.

I work across the street from this establishment and they always satisfy my cravings. I love their chicken and rice soup, egg foo young, lo mien and friend chicken. The only thing I would change is how bland their friend rice is but I just stay away from it. I enjoy their food, they're located in a convenient location and the food is always prepared in a timely manner.

Lord have mercy. What a disaster of Chinese food establishment. I don't even know where to begin. I used the yelp app to order and that process was pretty simple. Menu had plenty of options at affordable prices. Why was it so affordable? The area is not the most welcoming. You have undercover police sitting on the corner. Enough said. The dining area has plenty of real estate. Super huge and roomy. The condition is most definitely run down and just a hot mess. You have replacement light bulbs next to the soda fridges. You have free water dispenser that hasn't seen soap in about five years. I walked into a shouting match between one of the lady cooks and another gentleman. The way they were yelling at each other, you'd think they were married. I don't know how they're gonna keep it together. Someone's gonna have a nervous breakdown. Straight uncomfortable for everyone.I had the chicken curry and a cheesesteak egg roll. The fried rice was ok, however, I can taste the burning of the flame all over the rice. The vegetables were hit and miss. Some had a funky taste which wouldn't surprise me if some were spoiled. The chicken was bland and slimy. It needed more salt. I have a feeling I'm going to be sick tomorrow but I will update if I do. The egg roll was oily but that's what you get when you deep fry something, but still good. I don't know what compelled me to give two stars. But I'll list the pros and cons. I couldn't be anymore honest than this. Trend lightly and buyer beware. Pros: location, price, presentationCons: unsanitary location, unsafe neighborhood at night, crazy staff, food preparation, food quality.

Good typical "fast food" chinese. Exactly what you would expect from your typical Chinese restaurant. Great flavors, good sized portions, great value. Ordered the General Tso's chicken (on point) with fried rice, House Mei Fun (good amount of meats and veggies, not mostly noodles like many places), and Hot n Sour soup (great flavor, but not spicy enough for me). Overall great for traditional take out chinese food. Fast delivery and accurate. Would order again!

This is the only place in Baltimore that I'll order chinese from. After trying SO many places and always being disappointed, I was excited to discover Peking House because this is my new go-to. Their lunch specials are such a great deal. Their portions are huge, food is fresh, and price is right. The lo mein is my favorite since it always has a lot of veggies and isn't greasy, and their fried rice is pretty classic. A lunch special can usually last me about 2 meals. Their wonton soup is my favorite too. They always pack a lot of dumplings in the container and their broth isn't too oily. The delivery is always fast and the food is piping hot when it arrives. My only complaint is that the crispy noodles they include are usually stale, and they pack their food in styrofoam, hence the 4/5 stars. But these are pretty small complaints when it comes to Baltimore Chinese food. I will continue ordering from this place every time I get a craving.

Chinese carry-out has a unique appeal to me; it is cheap. In most cases, you get what you pay for, but some places are surprisingly good. I craved some Chinese carry-out, and I had a previous experience with Peking House which proved positive. One indicator of good Chinese carry-out is how well the chicken withstands sauce, whether it is sweet and sour, General Tso's, orange chicken, etc., if it is crispy throughout, then mission accomplished. Peking House was on point. Although it was saucy, the chicken maintained its crisp texture throughout the meal. To take it a step further, I have some leftover and taste in the morning; it kept the crunch.Another indicator is the ratio of meat to veggie. A pass is 60/40 veggie, I know some people lean meat, but I like to feel good eating Chinese carry-out. The veggies need a little bite to them as well. I got the shrimp and broccoli, and Peking House met the perfect ratio, and the veggies maintained their crunch even into the next day.Dumplings, I love dumplings. But most Chinese carry-out dumplings are turds that have no taste. So I am looking for a dumpling with a flavor that will not look like I just a turd. The dumplings were flavorful and did not look like a turd. Finally, the fortune cookies, first off, fortune cookies are mandatory, but they also can't be stale. I had gone through a long streak of stale fortune cookies, and I cross my finger that I would be fortunate enough not to have a stale cookie. Peking House had the fortune cookies, and they were NOT stale. As long as Peking House serves the good stuff, I will keep coming back.

We stopped by here before going to the theatre. It is not fancy by any means, but he food was really excellent. We had pork fried rice, with a good amount of meat.Egg drop soupGarlic broccoli (I asked for a mild and it came with having only the faintest of heat with good crunch vegetables. Our kids got the sesame chicken, they said the sauce had a little more savouriness that really tasted good.Give it a try as their prices are not bad for a downtown place. And the people behind the counter was very nice and offered us to adjust the sauces for our tastes a bit.

It was pouring rain in Baltimore today so a few of us on staff decided to place an order for delivery. Peking House seemed like a semi decent option and Chinese delivery is always very quick. We ordered our food at quarter to noon and by 12:30 we were calling them to find out where our food was. They made us aware that they were waiting for the driver to come back and it would be another 25 minutes. The driver showed up at 1 with our food.I gave them a 3-star rating even with this wait time because the food was pretty good. I ordered sesame chicken lunch special and it came with fried rice. The menu said the food was spicy based on the pepper rating but I did not think it was at all spicy. They definitely filled the container so I have a meal for another day.

Don't waste your time. I ordered both sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken - both were the same - plain, dried out breaded chicken with no sauce on either entree. When I called them they blamed UberEats. Seriously?
