Parkside Family Restaurant

It's a country little diner and been there for decades it's clean and waitresses are very friendly but the day we were there some cook was slicing highly yellow onions with a fan blowing out to the dining room it was ridiculous every one eyes were burning and at first no one knew why! It smelled terrible also for that reason I will never go back the waitresses were laughing thinking it's funny! There food is ok we got club sandwiches and 2cups of veggie beef soups the soup was delicious very homemade but the Club was terrible used some terrible turkey lunch meat all fatty tasting I tasted it and took off I asked for no Mayo and it was all over that sandwich! The waitress said there was a tip jar up where you pay that they split tips I said with cooks to? She said yes so we left no tip! Lol those onions and that food was not worth a tip! The place use to be really good but hadn't been there in years and won't be back.,,

It was a beautiful day for a drive out to the country. This is a great little spot, very clean, good service, and delicious food. I highly recommend.

We are talking about home-cooked homestyle meals, small and quaint. Nothing to catch your eye from the outside but I'm telling you once you step into this restaurant, you will be treated properly and you will be served like a family member. I'm not food critic just a guy that was raised by a family back to cook so I know good food this is it

I've been to this restaurant 3 times this time was different made reservations for 3 arrived 5 minutes prior reservation was not honored because Caucasian couple was given priority without any reservation & although the clerk acknowledged us she would no seat us before the Caucasian couple. Once seated was given drinks immediately. However the older woman waitress refused to take our order until all Caucasian orders was taken & then put ours even though we arrived before them! Once our food was brought out to us he presentation was sloppy & non cared for. As I began to cut my steak I noticed a clear greasy hard substance I brought it to the waitress attention that it was covered in plastic she said yea no big deal she cooked it with the plastic on just pull it off, I tried but the whole bottom of the steak. Was stuck with it she put the check down & walked away without any help response or Question when I went to pay the bill I said something to the cook she did not respond . The cashier stated that she would take it off and didn't want to discuss it. So I realize that they purposely sabotage my order because they did not want us to come back! So I'm concerned because the 1st time they told us we needed to call first make reservation to eat in. We waited and all my food was burnt I said something to my husband he blew it off.So tonight's experience confirmed that we aren't welcome here an if we do order we must do take out!

Great local food! Stopped in for a homemade breakfast before a funeral. The food was delicious, and the serving portions were just right. You can also order food to go, or purchase drinks and snacks from the store.

Wait staff are extremely friendly and food is delicious with large servings. I have returned multiple times and will continue to do so.

Now this is a down home, old school spot serving up some home cooking. Got a steak with some fried potatoes and tomatoes. Pinnapple upside down cake for dessert. All on point, just like mom use to make. Great food and friendly service. Just as it's supposed to be. Definitely recommend and will stop in next time I am passing through. Keep up the good work. :-)
