Here. Gave the waitress $15 cash for my order of 13.70 and she just kept it without asking . Mind you I was going to leave the remaining cash plus more. But she kept it without asking . Just was looking for a more respectful process when dealing with cash. Unless it's their policy, but I've never heard of such . Weird. Left the remaining cash anyway. At least let me decide what I want to do with My money.

I am a huge fan of and frequent seeker of quality dive bars and this one pretty much defines the model. Fabulous local crowd that makes a newbie feel welcome, great bartender who is both helpful and cheeky, cold, cold, cold beer at a cheep price, great happy hour and daily specials, and pool and keraoke that is more amusing than overpowering. As a connisseur of fine dive bars I give the Paradise an 'A'. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is my personal bias against keraoke.

walked in to order a drink and it stunk like piss. and the bartender barely looked at my ID and said "i don't accept this" and turned me away. lol. it's a very valid, florida drivers license. don't go here. it's a nasty bar that clearly doesn't think they need the profit.

Like a bar right out of a Charles Bukowski novel this bar is the essence of a dive. Cheap pool tables and a jukebox. Same ole' regulars, same cheap drinks.

I'm so disappointed and saddened that people of color patronize this establishment. On Saturday January 13, 2023, I came to Paradise with a group of friends to celebrate another friend's birthday. The bar was busy, but I finally ordered a drink. I got my bill for $10 which I signed and added a three dollar tip through my Cash app card. Moments later the owner said my drink was really $15. I was confused because I never knew how much the drink was when I ordered I just trusted the receipt was correct and signed. The owner proceeded to tell me that my card only allowed $10 and wouldn't go through for $15. Of course it didn't make any sense because I didn't ring myself up and I had way more than $15 available on my card. If I was wrongly charged then once I've signed a receipt it is the business loss not mine. I assume my 30% tip was not enough for their liking. After disputing this with the owner, he proceeds to tell everyone at the bar that my card did not go through. I have no issue, paying for my own drinks, tipping well, and supporting local business. I have a local business and work for tips as well. Two dollars is not an issue for me as I'm sure it's not for most people. Yet if I were to spend a dollar somewhere I expect good customer service and sound business practices. The way I was treated by the owner and his son was disrespectful, racist and misogynistic. Of course, I stood up for myself, and they threatened to call the police on me. Which never happened because they had no merit to any accusations. Funny thing is when my card updated the total for Saturday this morning I was charged $15. I'm definitely not upset about the price I'm upset at their baseless accusations that I could not afford my drink because they incorrectly charged me. They are more than welcome to that two dollars as I will never spend another dollar there again and hope that you won't either. They're not the only business in our community that takes our money and treats us like trash. In 2024, I urge all people of color to only patronize businesses that appreciate us and value us. And write reviews so that we can get the word out!

Friendly staff and patrons. Definitely a dive- but they make you feel like you're home. :)Cheap beer as well. Four beers and the total bill was $10.25. Definitely worth checking out. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Bartenders are hospitable. Prices are decent. A very Catonsville atmosphere. Ask to see Jason's tattoo, he's the local idiot.

My husband and I have always gone here to have a few drinks and listen to music, but never seems like the bar maids want to wait on us and can be very rude. Last Saturday, we were in there and my husband accidently ran into they're fan which was too close to the men's room anyway and he apologized and she got very cocky with us over just that and said out loud that he wasn't sorry when I know he was. He just scooted it over a tad and she gave us the business. No call for that at all. You don't treat your customers like crap. They are to treat every customer with respect and kindness. They don't do that there.
