I recently visited Pappas Restaurant and Seafood, and it truly lived up to its reputation. From the service to the food, everything was excellent.The crab cakes were the highlight of my meal--packed with fresh, sweet lump crab meat and minimal filler, they were perfectly seasoned and had a great texture. Easily some of the best crab cakes I've ever had.I also tried the chicken cheesesteak, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, paired with melted cheese and a soft roll that made every bite flavorful and satisfying. It's a great option for those looking for something hearty beyond seafood.The chicken and shrimp Alfredo was another standout dish. The sauce was creamy and rich, coating the pasta perfectly, while the shrimp and chicken were both cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and comforting dish.Pappas offers a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Whether you're there for their famous crab cakes or other menu favorites, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be returning!

We had just flown into town and was staving. We were looking for crab cakes and Yelp lead us here. We were seated immediately.Our server was great! I wish I could remember her name. I have never seen crab cakes this big. There were not made with a lot of fillers and had great flavor. The green beans were crunchy (I'm not a fan, just a person preference) & the bake potato was good as well. We ordered a shrimp and pasta dish that was great. My husband order a 3 stuffed shrimp plate. It came out with 3 grilled shrimp on the bottom of a scoop of crab cake on top. Not actually as described but still great flavor. If you want true crab cakes you will want to stop here. Enjoy

We are new to the Glenburnie area and we are checking out the eateries. My husband recommend this spot because I indicated that I wanted Salmon. My salmon was good. I ordered the blackened. It came with fresh asparagus. My husband steak was a bit on the small size. Which only came with three shrimps. I'm pretty sure they could have at least four shrimps. Now my Salmon was good as well as the calamari. My husband did get a salad and soup with the surf & turf. That really helped Out his meal.We ordered everything to go. I also purchased the soup of the day. I would like to dine in to check out other items on the menu. As well as checking out the service. Will update my review if anything changes.

While visiting family in the DMV, we decided on an impromptu lunch at Pappas in Glen Burnie. It was 2 pm when I arrived, and the restaurant was packed. The large bar area was filled to capacity, and the dining room was also packed. I arrived before the rest of my party of 7. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. She managed to get us a booth where all 7 of us were able to squeeze in at so we didn't have to wait long. There is a 20% gratuity automatically added to your bill for parties of 6 or more. Also, they don't allow split checks for large parties. This info is posted when you enter the restaurant on the website, written in the menu, and they even place a notice on the table, so you can't say you didn't know. Don't worry because they give 5 star service. Our waitress was amicable and attentive. In spite of the restaurant being busy, our drinks and food came fast. I ordered the single crab cake platter with a side salad and veggies. The 8oz Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was delicious, very little filling, and flavorful, definitely on my list of top 5 in Maryland. Prices are reasonable, and portions are fair. Customer service was stellar from every aspect. This restaurant is definitely on my list of places to visit when I'm in town moving forward. If you are looking for a great experience with amazing food, look no further.

I was told the crab cakes were top tier so I had to go give them a shot. My wife and I drove from DC on a Saturday evening and this place was packed. We waited for about 20 minutes and were eventually seated. We ordered the carb dip for an appetizer. This was hot and delicious. My daughter loved it. For our entrees we ordered the Pappas Crab Cakes and the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Scallops.The crab cakes were delicious. Very nice size. Not a lot of filler and great portions of crab meat. The vegetables were average but the crab cakes were definitely worth it.I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. This could use some seasoning. I hate when the tail is on and I have no clue why this happens. It's a little soupy but over decent. It is a nice size portion as well.Overall the food was good. The service was good and I'd return.

I'm on the hunt for the best crab cake. My hunt led me to Oprah's favorite crab cake spot. Pappas!!!! Established as an award winning crabcake and I see why. Absolutely no filler. 100% crab meat. Seasoned to perfection. I was told to Get the garlic butter for the extra razzle dazzle. Glad I listened because it was great. Them fries tasted great dipped in the garlic butter as well. Who knew? I've only been putting ketchup on my fries and clearly missing out. The in house made Tatar sauce was incredible. The Cole slaw tasted like my Aunt Ruth back home in North Carolina made it. Auntie lives in the sticks so you know the food is fire. I'm drooling writing this review. Service was friendly, quick, and on point. For starters I had a half & half. That's cream of crab soup mixed with Maryland crab soup because I'm a fat boy and my back is big. I recommend you try it. Pappas now has a special place in my heart and I will be back#EatGoodAndBeHappy

IDuring a mid-week break from a five-day training, my colleagues and I decided to unwind at Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar in Glen Burnie. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the crab cake. It was so delicious that I didn't even manage to get a picture before diving in! The crab cake was perfectly seasoned and packed with tender, flaky crab meat.For sides, we had a variety to choose from including fresh veggies, salad, potatoes, and fries. Each option complemented the crab cake well, offering a good balance of flavors and textures. The meal was a perfect blend of comfort and quality, making it an excellent choice for a much-needed dinner after a long day of training. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying their crab cake!

I'd give 3.5 but had to round down. I had Pappas once before, and was looking forward to another famous crab cake. However, this trip was just ok. The crab cake was large, and certainly had lump crab meat throughout. It was on the wetter side which didn't bother me, but the filler got me a a couple times. A few of the bites I took was all filler (which I totally understands it needs to keep it together), but it was a bit off putting when the whole bite was mush. Still a good crab cake, just not phenomenal. I went with green beans and almonds as the side, you know, to be healthy and all. They were edible, but no seasoning and just drowned in butter. Now I can put down some butter, but they were a bit much even for me.
