The food is fantastic. Def my new taco spot. The birria is melt in your mouth tender. The service was excellent. Great atmosphere!!

Papi's thank you for making tacos and thank you for making those tacos very well. also thank you for letting me order corn tortillas without judgementPapi's has a large variety of proteins for your tacos and toppings so you can have exactly what you want.And not with the additional outdoor space that they have made permanent since COVID there is even more space to enjoy a good drink and a good taco

I went here today for lunch. I arrived just after 11:00am. They were not ready when arrived but, the hostess did allow me to be seated. She made me aware that they would be ready in a few minutes. The restaurant was empty only because they had just opened. Once I was seated Megan did make sure I had water, complimentary salsa and chips and a menu to look over as I waited. I was ready to place my order when she returned to my table. I ordered the catfish tacos minus the avocado, jalapeno cornbread fritters and a frozen prickly pear margarita. I munched on a few chips with salsa as I waited. The prickly pear margarita came out first, followed by the jalapeno cornbread fritters which came with a jam that paired perfectly with the fritters. When my tacos came out they did have avocado on them. I made them aware that I asked not to have avocado. They were kind enough to take the tacos back to correct them. What I appreciated most was them confirming if I had a avocado allergy? It's the small things that could mean a lot that can be a very big deal. I myself am not allergic to avocado. My dining experience was pleasurable. The food and drink were delicious. I would like to return and try some of the other menu items. Might I also add that the dining room was very clean and attractive. Check them out if your in the area. Shout out to Megan for great service.

This has become my daughter and I's go to spot when I pick her up from school. She loves the tacos and the burritos. Nice portions and always a special plus an updated menu!

Great place for Taco TuesdayParking was pretty easy since I went on a slightly off hour, but I could see it was completely full on my way out.Got 6 total tacos for the price of 2 since it was taco Tuesday - for a pretty fair price I think.The carne asada was tender and delicious - at other places it can be so tough and dry. Also got the picosa salsa and it was not as spicy as I thought. Looking forward to trying some other salsas on the menu.The lady who served my table was also very kind and helpful. I asked for help with the taco order form and she gave a very comprehensive and clear explanation.

The tacos here are very good!! There is just an up charge for a lot of things, so read the menu carefully, and use the taco sheets on the table to make your customization. The staff is very friendly and they do have a partial outside area available to sit in!

I love this place, even though it is kind of inconsistent. The chips and salsa are very good, the build your own tacos are usually very good, and the mushroom tostadas were excellent. The nachos and margaritas are a bit hit or miss. But the vibe is excellent, especially in the bar and in the outdoor patio/shed area. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

I did a take-out order of tacos from here. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, I figured it would be packed, and I didn't want a long wait. I'm glad I didn't dine in. The place was packed!My experience was good. I placed an online order, and when I arrived, my delicious tacos were ready. I tried the chicken tinga. You can customize the toppings. I did a side of chips and salsa. Everything was filling and tasty. I definitely plan to come back and sit and enjoy a margarita.

Nice place. My buddy loves Mexican and related foods so he chose Papi's this time. Nice lunch. I had a big-ass burrito. Very tasty, with sides of rice and what-not.Our waitress was very nice and put up with us (not always easy ...).Oh and the freebie appetizer chips and salsa are phenomenal.Will definitely be back when we're in the area.

One of my favorite locations in Hampden, where I have definitely become a regular! I recently visited again with a big group--we were worried about coming in without a reservation (since Papi's doesn't do them), but we called 30 minutes ahead and were seated as soon as we came in. There is an extensive menu along with monthly specials that rotate--some of the standouts for me over the months have been the vegetarian quesadilla, the seared tuna tacos, and the current month's tacos del mar. Outside of the special menu, the fan favorites amongst my friends are definitely the quesadilla (which I get with shrimp or chicken tinga), the burrito, and the tacos which can be ordered in either a traditional or a more American style, with many different meats, sauces, and beans to choose from. The weekend brunch is also great; there are less options that aren't meat based but it is easy to ask for things to not be included or look at the vegan/gluten-free menus. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the vibes of the whole restaurant are so comforting and warm. Will definitely be there again!
