I recently visited Papi Cuisine in Baltimore, and it was an unforgettable dining experience. From the bold flavors to the lively atmosphere, this restaurant delivers on every level. The honey jerk lamb chops were the standout dish--tender, juicy, and packed with a smoky-sweet jerk seasoning that added just the right amount of heat. Cooked to perfection, they had a delicious char on the outside while remaining succulent inside. The mac and cheese was rich and indulgent, featuring a creamy blend of four cheeses, including smoked Gouda, which gave it a deep, satisfying flavor. Every bite was smooth, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned. For a lighter contrast, the slow-cooked kale was a pleasant surprise. Unlike typical greens, it had a nice balance of acidity and flavor that complemented the richness of the other dishes without being overpowering. The atmosphere at Papi Cuisine is energetic, making it a great spot for a lively night out. However, it does get busy, so reservations are highly recommended. If you're looking for bold flavors, generous portions, and a vibrant dining experience, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for more!

Papi Cuisine: Afro-Latin Fusion at Its FinestNestled in the heart of Baltimore, Papi Cuisine is a culinary gem that masterfully blends Afro-Latin flavors, creating a dining experience that is both elegant and soulful. My recent visit left me in awe of both the food and the ambiance, and I am more than happy to share my experience.I indulged in the Crab Egg Rolls, Honey Jerk Lamb Chops, paired with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Charred Broccolini, followed by a slice of Sweet Potato Pound Cake and two expertly crafted Manhattans with a local twist. Every bite of this meal was an unforgettable journey. The lamb chops, cooked to medium-well perfection, were tender and juicy, seasoned with layers of bold, flavorful spices. The honey jerk sauce complemented the meat beautifully, adding a sweet and spicy glaze that tied the dish together. Let's just say those bones found their way back to my hotel for some "private enjoyment" (yes, they were that good). The garlic mashed potatoes? A testament to authenticity. Freshly mashed from real potatoes, their creamy texture and garlicky flavor reminded me why homemade always beats the boxed version. The broccolini was charred to crispy-tender perfection, its bold natural flavors subtly enhanced by light seasoning, allowing the smokiness of the char to shine. And then came the Sweet Potato Pound Cake--a dessert that truly lives up to its name. Moist and dense in the center, yet light around the edges, this cake was a harmonious blend of cinnamon, vanilla, and buttery goodness. It transported me straight to the nostalgic joy of childhood. The Manhattan cocktails were the icing on the cake, or should I say, the cherry on top of the meal. Crafted by a master bartender, these drinks were bold, smooth, and full of flavor, with a mysterious local twist that added a unique flair.Beyond the food, the ambiance of Papi Cuisine is stunning--modern decor infused with an authentic cultural touch that reflects the passion behind the menu. At $200 for one person, the experience is undeniably indulgent but worth every penny.Owner and award-winning Chef Alex Perez has done a phenomenal job infusing his Dominican and African American heritage into every dish. His Afro-Latin fusion cuisine elevates traditional flavors into a bold and refined culinary art form, making Papi Cuisine a must-visit destination for food lovers.Baltimore, you've got a treasure in Papi Cuisine, and I'll be back for more!

Lunch at Papi Cuisine in Baltimore was amazing! The lamb chops I had were beyond delicious. They were so tender and filled with so much flavor. The broccolini it came with was also tasty. I had their ice cream and cake dessert as well and of course was not disappointed and presentation was a plus. They really put time and attention into meal and the service that day. My server was really attentive and I loved that the lunch hour didn't have a crowd so there was no wait time with seating. It was very spacious and they had bar seating but I was seated at a table where I had plenty of room to thoroughly enjoy my meal.

This food is pretty good nothing to write home about but a cute dinner spot. I've been twice and while the food was impressive the first visit I wasn't that impressed the second time around. Parking is fairly easy there's a garage next door with a few spots and street parking.

I came to visit during CIAA week with some coworkers. While there was one waiter, we still received amazing service. I commend her for taking care of everyone in the restaurant. The ambiance is upscale, great music, and welcoming vibe. We had appetizers, drinks, and entrees! It was SO good!!

The food was delicious but the service they offer does not match the price point at all. Decor is cute. We came in and were excited about the menu. I quickly decided on the crab cake egg rolls and happily told my server, to which she replied they were out for the day. Disappointed, I took some time and decided to skip appetizers after that. For entrees I decided to order the double crab cakes and my partner got the chimichurri lamb chops . Both entrees come with two sides. When we tried to order the sides we learned they were also out of mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, which was exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure why the server neglected to say any of these items were 86'd until we had our heart set on them but whatever, rice and Brussel sprouts it is. After we placed our order the server was nowhere to be seen. A food runner dropped our order. I asked him for a coke and he bought it. The crab cakes were good with no filler. The rice had a light pleasant seasoning to them and the Brussel sprouts were branded as "sweet and spicy" and were delicious but not a hint of spice was evident to me. The kale greens were a tad bit salty but my partner raved over the chimichurri. The server spent all of our night at the door talking to the hostess at the hostess stand. Didn't come back to refill drinks or to see if our food met our expectations. When she finally did come back the food was gone so there was nothing to check on. She gave us the bill: $40 dollars for his lamp chops and $80 for the two crab cakes. Total bill was $151 (they add automatic gratuity). I usually tip even the worst of servers and honestly she was pretty much top 2 worst I've ever had. If the service experience matched the food this would have easily been a 4 star review. I understand why companies auto grat because servers hate getting shorted but when servers use that as an excuse to do a subpar job the establishment will undoubtedly lose customers.

I've been coming to Papi's since it was on Fleet St. back in 2020. The food is consistently on point and keeps me coming back! Of course I love the crab cake eggrolls DUH. They're huge, no fillers, creamy due to the cheese and warhead sauce, what more can you ask for? I love the honey jerk lamb chops as well! This place is actually the reason I started eating lamb chops. They're tender and spicy, and the chimichurri sauce is excellent. The honey glazed stuffed salmon was also great! Not overcooked at all and a good amount of glaze. I would've loved more stuffing though. For sides, we got the asparagus and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were great! I love a good glaze and these had one on them. But my absolute favorite menu item is the colossal fried shrimp!! So good, so crispy. The warhead sauce is like bang bang sauce but it has a different taste than other places. I love Papi's if it wasn't obvious. This place is super popular and crowded (it's well deserved) so if you can make a reservation, please do. But once you make it in, the space is beautiful. The vibe is right. Not too noisy but you can still hear the hustle and bustle and feel the energy of this place. Make it a point to visit when you're in Baltimore and for those in DC, it's worth the tote.

This was our first time coming to Papi Cuisine and it didn't disappoint. I will say that the salmon bites were overcooked and the bread pudding was as well. They were both still easy to eat.Service was quick and easy. My cocktail was a little delayed, but food came out on time with no issues. Everything was hot and our server was Tami. Tami was very nice and checked in on us often. The restaurant is very clean and cute with the greenery wall. Everything seems to flow very well with servers taking orders and other staff collecting empty plates when customers were done. I enjoyed the music because it was a rotation of mixes to popular songs and full play of songs as well. The cocktails were good and not too strong but also not watered down. I guess my snapper fell down because when I saw others come out, they were standing up on the base of the fish. It was fried great and seasoned well. Getting a bite of the fish with the rice and beans was amazing. The rice was cooked very well and my beans were super tasty. I wasn't a fan of the lamp chops, they were just too sweet for me but my partner loved them as well as the mac and cheese. I thought the mac and cheese was good and I don't usually enjoy restaurants making it because it can go wrong, but it was good. The bread pudding was nice but overcooked so it was hard at the bottom. The ice cream was very nice.

I gave them another whirl! It's been a few years since I dined here. The food was good and the ambiance was nice! Our server was pleasant and accommodating. For the price point I'd say the side dishes and drinks are a bit on the pricey side.

Did prior review about lack of answering phone for any matters/inquires after booking reservations. Had reservation for Sunday and ambience and DJ was great. Mya our waitress was great as I orderedcrab egg rolls and wanted seafood alfredo only to be told they don't serve on weekends only Rasta Pasta. Both the crab egg rolls and Rasta pasta was okay, as pasta lacked seasoning; crab was littylittle and a few shrimp. It had two 3lb shrimp tails that were in the shell and a task to extract. My guest were from out of town and enjoyed the lamb chops and one got red snapper to go. Creamy spinach is trash and fresh spinach put in some sauce that's very runny. My guest where from out of town and enjoyed the ambience and music. Some of the side items and entries on the menu are available on the weekend. Since you can never get someone on the phone to find out any details is very much not customer service friendly. If it wasn't that my out of town guest enjoyed the ambience and lamb chops, I wouldn't have consider this to be no more than average.
