Orchard Cafe

A cute cafe, located conveniently in Piney Orchard. The food was served quick and hot. Friendly staff and the food was good. Great for a quick breakfast or lunch to eat. Good cafe music and friendly vibes.

A favored breakfast spot to many in the Piney Orchard community of Odenton, MD. Tucked inside a small shopping center this small breakfast eatery is consistently busy and between 10-12 there is usually a line outside waiting for a table. The menu is simple but has all the standard fare breakfast items. Prices are reasonable and the food is served quickly and hot. I'm a stickler about coffee and many times I won't return to a restaurant if I don't like the coffee served. 'The Orchard Cafes' coffee is a med-dark roast with good flavor; highly recommended. Note: this is a 4-person and smaller restaurant. Parties of six and more is very difficult for them and could cost you a 45-60 min wait while they try to accommodate you.

Needed a good breakfast and got it here! Friendly waitstaff and good breakfast at this moment and pop type cafe! The pictures on the wall shows community. They were pictures of customers. Nice touch.I had two eggs, French toast, and 4 pieces of bacon with coffee. Delicious and the eggs were perfect and the way I liked it, over easy.My son had eggs over medium (notice little yolk in the picture) and French toast. He finished his plate as well! Coffee was delicious too!

The food is mediocre at best. The service is subpar due to management telling experienced employees what to do. Some items that need attention. They don't sit customers when they have open tables. Example: six people waiting they have four open tables. The theory is the kitchen is backed up. Just sit folks they can have coffee and wait at a table. There are some other odd rules that management implements that make absolutely no sense at all but. If you are in a small rush and need to be somewhere within 90 minutes forget about it. They can have eight open tables and only you waiting and you will sit for 20 minutes before being seated.

Need a quick spot for breakfast that won't break the bank? This is where we will venture to when hosting friends and family in the area before heading to the airport. It is great food. The staff is fast paced and super sweet. The menu is extensive, and the prices are great. Only downside is that the restaurant is incredibly small.

Great little find. Came in for breakfast with my husband. He got a build your own omelette and I got the French Eggs Benedict. My husband enjoyed his omelette and I fully enjoyed my French Eggs Benedict! It was seasoned perfectly and I liked the French bread twist instead of an English muffin. The staff were friendly and our food came out quick. The decor is a bit dated but it gave it character. The pictures on the walls were fun to look at while we waited for our food. Definitely a great spot for breakfast!

This place has been on my list of places to try and we finally got there today. First note, they serve breakfast all day. Upon entering, there is a sign that reads "wait to be seated" so we paused. A friendly voice greeted us from the service area and said 'hello, take a seat wherever you like'. I immediately felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home.We were quickly brought menus as well as coffee. The menu has your standard offerings of breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, omelets, eggs benedicts, and customizable breakfast platters. And of course, biscuits and gravy as well as chipped beef gravy on toast! I chose the sausage gravy on biscuits (large size), and my guy got the platter with scrapple, home fries, scrambled eggs, and toast. Everything was delicious and the coffee was good. We will definitely be back, might even buy one of their t-shirts next time!

Orchard cafe is my new go-to for breakfast or brunch! The cafe is a modest sized dining area that is usually very calm and relatively relaxed atmosphere. It's that small town feeling for sure! And we were very quickly seated and seen by our waitress. Decided I was extra hungry and tried the chipped beef with gravy to start. Definitely a very healthy portion of gravy and chipped beef but it could use more flavor in the gravy. The main entrees we chose was the scrapple platter and the waitress even helped us "hack" the menu to order chicken and waffles by ordering chicken tenders and waffles separately! The scrapple was pan fried to perfection, nice and crispy outer layer and soft and hot on the inside! Same for the has brown, even better than McD's hash brown! And the scrambled eggs were nice and buttery and fluffy. The chicken tenders were just that, nice and tender on the inside but the outer batter was a bit thick but nothing done maple syrup can't help either. Definitely recommend but come before they close at 2pm!

Was hoping to come in to grab two quick breakfast sandwiches to go before my son's hockey practice at the rink nearby. I was a little surprised when they said the wait would be 15-20 mins but I had exactly 20 mins before I had to go. We sat by the door while we waited and it was quite hot in there. Didn't feel like they had AC. In addition, we were charged more than the $5.99 menu price for each. Not sure why but I was in a hurry so I didn't question it. I ended up having to wait almost 30 minutes for our order. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good but it isn't a good spot for a quick grab and go.

Very impressive for a simple local diner. Extremely clean and orderly w/ great attention to detail. Syrup and ketchup containers always full, and sparkling as are beverages in the fridge. Food is tasty and portions are good w/ fresh ingredients and my coffee cup was always full. Staff is friendly and attentive. Also, prices can't be beat!
