Opies Soft Serve and Snowballs

The perfect place for dessert! I had a cherry-flavored snow cone with sour spray. It was delicious, but I just wish I had gotten more sour spray. The variety of options is great, and the prices are super affordable. Definitely worth a visit! There's tables around for you to sit at and they're pretty spaced out. The staff were super nice and quick with everything.

This place is a great summer staple in the area. It brought back great childhood nostalgia going here. The snowballs and ice cream are delicious and a perfect treat for all ages! I always get the Baltimore classic, egg custard snowball with marshmallow :)

Great place to stop for ice cream with friends and family. They have a wide variety of options and the best part is that there is plenty of seating around to sit and enjoy. The line can get long on weekends but it moves fairly quickly.

We very much enjoyed this little find. On a recommendation from a friend we made the trek to try their soft serve and we were not disappointed. Prices are awesome and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this little gem.

Good flavor on the ice cream. Loads of options with the toppings. This place has been a staple in the Catonsville neighborhood for over 30 years. And best part - the prices are relatively cheap for the quality and portions that you get!

Opie's is a local soft serve shack that may not look like much, but don't underestimate the quality of their premium snowballs and ice cream. There's not a bad option on their wide menu: the vanilla ice cream is always satisfyingly creamy and cold, and their snowballs are perfectly flavorful. I also appreciate their items like the ice cream & brownie or snowcream, which achieve the best of both worlds. Overall Opie's has the best ice cream and snowballs you'll eat in Catonsville, and it is much superior to Tastee Zone.

Playground dates and snowballs from Opies has been an ongoing tradition with me and my children's for over 20 years.... It still wins .... The prices are right ... nice chill area to relax and eat your snow ball . Adequate parking .... The staff is super friendly .. and the snowball flavors are great .... I wish I had gotten ice cream too but we will be back all season .

I love Opies. The quality of ice cream, the service, the space, and parking all make it wonderful. It's an easy location to get to and a perfect setting to enjoy a sweet treat. Snowballs, ice cream, milkshakes, cookies--it's all delicious and affordable.

For those of you looking for yum soft serve or snowballs in Catonsville, Opies is a must! This family-run spot's been around since 1984, and they offer soft serve, snowballs, floats, sundaes and more.My bf loves their root beer floats ($4) so that's his go-to, but I like to get their snowcreams ($3.50-5 depending on size) or their vanilla cones (dipped in chocolate & $2.25-4 depending on size). Toppings are 60 cents each so go wild, friends!Pricing is very affordable, and although lines may be long in the summer, I promise they go quick! I really REALLY love their soft serve. It's so creamy, and it's just the perfect way to enjoy a hot day. PS. There's ample seating in the area so you won't have trouble finding a spot to relax and enjoy your treats!
