A quiet little place in crystal plaza in laurel MD. I can say the best thing about this place was the lovely young lady at the cash register. Outside of that the food was just ok but I don't think I will be returning. I see the place get alot of really good reviews so alease someone's really liking the food.

Some of the most tasteless Jamaican food I've had in the area. The rice had no flavor. The chicken wasn't bad but it was more like griiled or bake chicken with jerk sauce vs chicken actually jerked. The cabbage had mixed vegetables in it like the kind you buy frozen that has peas, corn and cubed carrots. Seems real short cut like cooking to me. This was my first time getting a meal here and it was disappointing. I got the small lunch size and it costs $12 I think. I've gotten the patties numerous times and they're very good. Crust is flaky with decent filling. I'll stick to patties from now on.

We went in for the lunch special one day and were greeted by a very nice young lady at the register. The restaurant was clean, and bright, with eye catching photos on the walls. The music was playing but it wasn't extra loud. The tv was on so people could watch the race. It was nice. The food was good. Chicken was very tender and fell off the bones. There was a lot of rice in the bowls, we personally wanted a little more chicken and sauce or even veggies. The two juices were good, I mixed them, but there was no ice so it wasn't cold. I got the callaloo pate and it was good.

I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong. The jerk chicken patty was amazing ... Didn't even know these existed. I love curry chicken patties but this jerk takes the cake. Beef patty was good! Solid patty. Coco bread was super light, can tell it wasn't baked for too long when originally made because it was very soft and chewy and that's a good thing!Plantains were so good. Idk enough to be able to tell if they are considered the ripe or green plantain? But I just asked for plantain and that's what I got. I would assume these are the green ones because they aren't as ripe. There was a perfect subtle hint of sweetness. I usually love and prefer the super sweet caramelized plantains but this holds a special place in my heart. It may have helped that they just came out the pan and into my hands so they were super hot and soft. Cooked so well!I'll def be back to try the entrees. I just needed a "little" snack to hold me over. I wasn't even planning on eating all of it, but here I am stuffed as a tamale on the couch with my eyes half open.

Good : Lots of Parking outside, very clean restaurant - but they're not wearing mask ( I don't really care but some might ), Staff is very friendly and the lady at the counter didn't hesitate to answer any questions I had. I asked for sauce for the Salt Fish Pattie and the lady said it wouldn't need it, and she was absolutely right, one of the best Pattie's I've ever had! Can be better : Everything included with the Curry Chicken meal was fresh and hot, but lacked that secondary depth of flavor. Could use a tad bit more seasoning. Going to give them another chance and will probably order their oxtails next.

I tried the curry chicken with white rice and a beef patty, they were were actually pretty good. It's a nice little quaint restaurant as well with good reggae music to vibe too while you eat. The service can use a little work as the cashier was more concerned about her cell phone rather than being pleasant or caring. I asked her recommendation for food and she just shrugged. I'll be back again as it's been a while since I've had good tasting authentic Caribbean food since moving from NYC.

Had a very good meal here when I was in the area. It is located in an unassuming shopping center and not much to the interior of the restaurant. But all of the food was very good and I would definitely come back and try some other dishes.

My favorite Jamaican spot is temp closed down and me and auntie wanted some really good Jamaican food. Came across this place on Yelp, and the reviews were wonderful. We went, met the chef, and she is such a sweet spirit. Met the the chef's hubby, and he was also amazing. We ordered, stewed chicken, curry chicken, jerk salmon, goat soup, beef patty, coco bread, and cucumber ginger drinks. 10/10, EVERYTHING. From the service to the food. I will be returning.
