Olive On Main

Great food!! Great service!! Went for lunch with a buddy a few weeks ago. We were looking for something new to us, and Olive on Main was perfect.Very easy to find, right on Main Street in Laurel. Nice dining rooms. Polite wait staff. Fast service. Food was wonderful, as we'd expected based on reviews.Will most likely stop by again when I am in the area jonesin' for something Greek.

Great food. Nice service. We ordered chicken kabob and lamb shawarma wrap. Lamb could have used some spices but that's just my personal preference. It was otherwise great. We also ordered falafel and hummus. Hummus was nice! Falafel wasn't quite fried inside and the batter was a bit raw. Happens sometimes, I didn't mind it though.They also have pastas and burgers on their menu. So, it's American, Italian, and Mediterranean under one roof. Will certainly visit again.

My first time here and I want to thank all the yelp reviewers for their reviews as it was an excellent choice!I haven't been to downtown Laurel in a long time, it's really quaint and very nice. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and offered my choice of seating. It's a cool little place and has a very nice vibe. I opted to sit at the bar and glad that I did. I was immediately greeted by Tori who was serving behind the bar, but also a manager. I ordered a beer and since it was quiet had a great conversation with Tori. I wound up sharing the Mezza platter with my friend, and it was absolutely absolutely delicious! Great place, great service, great food! I will definitely be back and thanks again Tori!

Continuing my photo series of 2024, to represent February is Olive on Main in Old Town Laurel. This place is significant because it was my girlfriend & I 3rd date was here on Wednesday, 2/21 and our first date at a sit-down restaurant for dinner. I had looked this up and heard about their good happy hour from the President of my condo board, who really likes this place. So, I knew I wanted to try based on her glowing recommendation.My impression was generally positive. Server was cordial and answered questions like the wine recommendations, etc. I had suggested the half-off to my date at the time (soon to be girlfriend) splitting the chicken nachos and the happy hour wine. After my g/f arrived, I talked to the server asking about the nachos saying we were going to split the nachos, is this a good amount? She was honest saying that's it's a half portion and not much to split at all. I was disappointed saying that the happy hour makes it sound like the half price, so I assume it's a nice discount off the regular order. But half off for half the amount of food is not any sort of happy hour deal as I'm paying for the same amount per nacho. To be fair, the wine deals were great. $5 or 6 for Pinot Grigio and other options.I did want to try the gyro platter, and the server did recommend it as being a solid option. I felt this was the best choice here as the happy hour and place had a Mediterranean theme. My g/f got a bowl. We both enjoyed our food. I thought this was one of the best gyro platters I've had.As for the place itself, the set up is awkward with the shape of the place, it's a bit cramped and noisy. The happy hour was misleading Half price nachos shouldn't be half portion too, or they should clarify this is a half or smaller portion than the normal one.One interesting note was that in spite of arriving during happy hour time in the early 5 PM hour, our conversation was great and ended up staying until closing time, which is always the sign of a good date. Another noteworthy thing I said to her jokingly that we should've come here on a Thursday instead of Wednesday, their happy hour is extended until 8 PM instead of the normal 3-6 PM time range on the other weekdays.

We love this place. It has a wide variety of food and it's all good. They also have good wine. Their staff is friendly and super helpful. The ambience is local place with kitschy decor. It's one of our favorite spots.

Super simple bar visit for happy hour. The mozzarella sticks were good, fried mushrooms were okay, the sweet and spicy shrimp, and the lemon pepper wings. Food was good! Will have to try some real food next time. Bartender was super nice!

Cool place and very spacious. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Food was flavorful and presented nicely. Parking isn't great but other than that ...it's great.

i love it here i've been coming for years. i got the valentine's day special and it's delicious, come try it before it's gone for the season! the service is amazing. i usually have a regular waiter here but when i get someone new, i never have a bad experience. this place is perfect. the vibes are so local like, it's nice and classy and calm. i love getting the drink here too, they're really nice. we're usually served by CJ but this time we had Daniel C. and he was great. 1000/10. once i leave this city i will come back to just eat here. delicious.

Friendly service in the neighborhood favorite. Huge portions of delicious food, I have lamb skewers and my husband had the gyro platter, we both had leftovers for lunch the next day. Full bar, delicious margarita, southwest egg rolls, stuffed grape leaves and spiced olives were great apps.The home made baklava was a sweet end to a fabulous meal.
