Quaint and at the same time fully stocked of interesting drinks and things. Super decent prices too... a large iced coffee is $3.49! Also they offer a nice root beer float that includes the bottle of root beer! I saw lots of locals popping in and out as well. Lots of free parking, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable! There's also a kitchen that will whip up all kinds of sandwiches and yummy things to eat. Most highly recommended... by the way, it's located in the really nice, strolling part of Kensington!

Food is okay. Wine selection is okay. But the staff are always shorting the hours and closing early. I have come here several times this summer at 7:45 to pick something up and the staff are already closing the till.

Used to be a great neighborhood soup & sandwich shop with a nice wine selection. Service has deteriorated over the past several years with orders rarely being correct (ham & cheese sandwich with no cheese - really!?! How hard can it be, the ingredients are in the name and you got it only half right). Had not patronized in several months but needed a bottle of wine today, so also ordered lunch. THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY SANDWICH. Never ordering again, but will continue to pop in for a bottle every now and then.

We were checking out at the garden center when we asked the cashier if the sandwiches at Old Town Market were good. He said he had tried some and yes, they were very good. When we entered the store the staff seemed much friendlier and energetic than when we've been before. We studied the extensive sandwich board and decided on a turkey with brie cheese. We got it home and it was way enough for two of us. The sandwich was delicious. The roll was just the way I love them, fresh but with a little chew. There was a generous amount of turkey that was smothered in melted brie cheese and a slather of sauce. It was so good. While we were waiting for our sandwich I noticed a "crunchy" vegetable salad which we decided to try. At first bite it seemed a little sweet--dried cranberries, raisins? Not sure, but it was good and after first bite I started liking it. Guess I just wasn't expecting sweet. Kensington is quickly becoming our go-to carry out lunch area.

Though I didn't physically go here (my sister picked up sandwiches for us), I was enamored by the Southwest Chicken Sandwich I got, which had grilled chicken breast, green chiles, red onion, chipotle mayo, and pepper-jack cheese on ciabatta bread. It was served warm and was delicious! This spot is located in downtown Kensington and also seems to have a robust wine selection.I'd definitely return to see it in person and try their other breakfast and hot/cold sandwich menu items!

Drove over 20 minutes and this place was so worth it! Beautiful store with friendly staff. Even the manager (Aaron), was out working the front with his staff. It was around noon so there were a good amount of people, but we were still served extremely quickly! I was surprised because we ordered four sandwiches and a coffee but it was all delicious, and well worth the price! They also had a great selection of wine and chips, I can't wait to go back.

The food here is great. The service is consistently terrible - to the extent that I'm going to have to stop going. If you're in anything of a rush, I'd avoid this place.

Horrible service. We came in to order soft serve. Instinctively, we went over to the soft serve counter where we have previously ordered it. With two employees(kids) behind the counter, neither acknowledged our presence. One of the two was servicing the soft serve machine and looked absolutely miserable. Surely he had noticed we were at the counter and simply didn't care. We then walked over to the cash register, where the second employee was faithfully on her phone. Eventually, she realized we were there and without an apology or a smile, she asked us what we needed. It almost felt like we had been an inconvenience to them. This is dreadful. In a market like Old Town Kensington, there is a need for stores like these that help preserve the nostalgia of Old Town. Patrons want to feel welcome and valued. In return, you get a customer that is willing to return. Sadly, this place misses the mark and service here has noticeably deteriorated. With Carmen's Ice moving in next door and Baby Cat Brewery just behind with an assortment of food trucks stopping by, the competition is going to be fierce for food and alcohol. I think that a healthy dose of customer service would go along way in securing your future and gaining an established customer base. Who wants to patronize a business that they don't feel welcome at? Truly disappointed.

Been great customers for years and last week they messed up an order. No big deal. Happens. They said just let them know next time.So I go in today and the clerk tries to tell me they are charging me for my replacement sandwich. I show her the pic of last week's Reuben. Argues and argues before another staffer intervenes.this is what I got as a Reuben last week.
