Sometimes you just need some greasy, American style Chinese food and Number 1 Chinese Kitchen never disappoints.I'd been searching for a spot that could satisfy my cravings for Chicken Lo Mein and I have become a huge fan of Number 1. It's tasty, comes with plenty of chicken and veggies, and it is a great value. I normally get the Lo Mein combo platter which comes with a choice of fried rice and spring roll. It's under $15 and a generous serving size. They even deliver directly from the restaurant if you live nearby. I definitely recommend ordering directly from them to avoid extra fees on third party delivery apps. The delivery person was friendly, prompt, and made sure to call me when she arrived. I love me some classic greasy Chinese food and this spot gets the job done right everytime!

Ordered from No. 1 for the first time tonight and had a good experience! I tried the spicy dumplings, steamed pork dumplings, an egg roll, kung po shrimp and the dragon and Phoenix combo that has chicken and shrimp. - highly recommend both types of dumplings. The spicy ones had a little heat, but nothing to leave you grabbing a glass of water.- egg roll was one of the best I've had, fried to perfection! - kung po shrimp was probably my least favorite. The description (in doordash) didn't list the vast list of veggies that were included. It was good, don't get me wrong, just A LOT of veggies. Shrimp were huge and plentiful!- dragon and phoenix was a great combo. The description read a spicy wine sauce, which really seemed kind of like an orange sauce, which I happen to love. So, this was a win for me! Next time will prob check out out one of the classics!

I wanted to believe in this place. The hostess was very kind which got my hopes up. Unfortunately my Sweet and Sour was as bland as people who only use salt and pepper as seasoning. The Sweet and Sour sauce was very soupy and not thick at all. But if you happen to try a different entree you may have better results. Also my Steak and Pepper taste like it was sitting in a pot all day.

I've been picking up carry out from this convenient corner for over 20 years. It's dependably solid American style Chinese food. The owners are gracious and kind. The food is cooked fresh to order and in a timely manner, at least the dishes I've ordered--vegetarian ones for me, chicken dishes for my mother. It's never been more than 15 minutes from when I've ordered to when my order is ready to go. Unlike the prior reviewers meal, my food wasn't greasy at all, which is just how I like it. They have great lunch specials as well.

I was so surprised! They good was quite tasty and they had the best ribs that we have ever had. We found all the tradition American-Chinese favorites. We did take out and there is no ambiance but the food is so great! We had mooshoo pork, shrimp and green beans, eggs and spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, wonton soup, dumplings and ribs, kung pow chicken. The chicken was white meat, the sauces were on point and it out new go-to spot.

I called this establishment and asked for lunchbox special. I ordered shrimp egg foo young, and said do not burn the patties and gravy on the side. Hot and sour soup. Also- lo mein house special chicken, beef no pork noodles. No rice. What I received was a horrible combination of bad food. I immediately called back and asked for a refund and was told no refunds. However, they said I could return the bad egg foo young. They sent the patty /burnt with old rice. Hot and soup along with the rest of the food had an aftertaste to it. When I met their Asian driver, I told him the food was horrible deplorable and I would not be ordering from them again. This makes no sense to me. I am a connoisseur of Asian restaurants throughout Maryland and many are excellent! Yet, food if you can call it that is an insult to the Chinese culture. Maybe, the meat, chicken, beef, and rice should be inspected! I would give them Zero stars.

I used get take-away from here years ago and really enjoyed it. But this place has definitely gone down hill. Kung Pao chicken was barely spicy with little flavor. I gave them three chances and each time I have been disappointed. Will be looking for a better option in the neighborhood for sure!!

Our family go-to, their $34 family special coupon gets us a quart each of General Tso's chicken, shrimp lo mein, and pork fried rice. Plus some extras. Normally a couple of egg rolls and a veggie entree rounds out the meal for 4 with lunch for everyone for a day or more after.

I've liked their food in the past, but a couple weeks ago, I ordered chow mein and something else... The food was gloppy, no hint of freshly cooked veggies. It could have come from a can. I threw half of it away. The free egg roll was good, though.
