North American Seafood

Was told this place had some pretty good fish and decided to try it out. * Catfish and fries - the catfish was fried pretty well and really nice size pieces. The fries were cold and chewy by the time I got home, so I wouldn't get those again. *Fried oysters - fried well and had a good taste to them * Coleslaw - I'll passOverall, I'm glad I tried the place!

I ordered whiting and scallop w/Blackeyed peas. The whiting was thin and dry. The scallops were thin and didn't taste of scallop. Ordered Blackeyed peas, got home had string beans. Disgusting....Never again.

Let me start by saying that, in the end, I didn't order anything. I was craving some crab legs and didn't have time to go to my spot. I was driving to a friends and was searching, via Google the whole way for seafood merchants. I stopped 4 times. I stood there for awhile and finally asked some men who were there waiting for something how this worked since nobody was paying attention. I finally asked an employee if they had crab legs. She said yes and showed me. They were frozen stiff. I passed. The whole place was, for me, was not very .....appetizing.

So the fish here is surprisingly good even though it's in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. It's right next to a gas station, and you probably wouldn't think to order food from this place, but let me stop you right there! North American seafood has an array of delicious items on the menu! Their menu includes mostly seafood including shrimp, fish, collard greens and candied yams. I got the fish and two sides. Like another Yelper mentioned, the fish batter is really good but the sides were okay. Nothing I'm rushing to. But I repeat, the fried fish will have you in your happy place dancing in your seat. I would definitely hit them earlier in the day as I suggest for all seafood restaurants, due to freshness and all that.The staff are friendly enough and if you use Yelp to check in there is a free drink that comes with your order.

Food is over priced, there was a piece of wood in my carrot cake! I'm very disappointed

Usually I love there fish and potato salad. Last night I ordered 2 perch and one piece of tilapia "well done" when I called the girl says we closing pick sides now. They closed in 47 minutes let me remind u of that. I get there. Fish not crispy at all. And too sides of potato salad didn't look like it usually does. Too much vinegar cornbread burnt. And fish terribleEither way 11.99 for bs. This is a ma and pa store been going for a while. Will Stop after yesterday.

I drive past this place a lot and decided to order delivery from here last night. I ordered the ribs and two sides. The mac and cheese and black eyed peas were really good. I was pleasantly surprised. The ribs were just okay. I prefer my ribs a little more thick on the BBQ sauce. They were cooked well however. I also had a slice of chocolate on chocolate cake. That was pretty good as well. I would definitely order again.....probably the fish next time!

The crabs area seasoned well and the meat is sweet. Prices are really good and the fish is always hot and fresh. The down side is people hang out in front of the establishment.

I've been here a handful of times, and I have to say that their Seafood is one of the best. I always get myself the 3 piece whiting with cole slaw and potato salad, it never fails. The fish is moist and the batter is nice and crispy. I make myself a fish sandwich with the bread and coleslaw and use hot sauce and tartar sauce to complete it. The potato salad is a nice palette cleanser and is probably one of the best in the DMV area. The coleslaw is also not too sweet and complements well with the fried foodI've also tried the fried shrimp and steamed shrimp. The fried shrimp are big and juicy, and the steamed shrimp are seasoned well with Old Bay.It is a drive but definitely worth the trip over. 10/10 highly recommend.

This place right here has the best FISH, YESSSSSSSSS, I always get the FRIED PERCH WITH BONE IN, and I ask them to Fry it hard because I like my fish fried well, not falling apart. I like to listen to that crunch, especially knowing that its always fresh (ALWAYS FRESH). They do give you alot of Fish and also they have fantastic Hush Puppies. But, I am a FISH LOVER, FISH LOVER, FISH LOVER. I probably go there 3 to 4 times a week. Now they are closed on Sundays, but, Mon thru Saturday its popping. Its not a really big place but it extremely good. Today is Thursday so I suggest you call ahead and see if they have the FRESH BONE IN PERCH, ENJOY, DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE.HOT FRIED PERCH, HOT FRIED WHITING, HOT FRIED CROAKER, THEY ARE WAITING FOR YOU...OH on the weekends go early they do run out of FISH.
