General Tso's Chicken
General Tso's, fried rice, egg roll
When you break open the "chicken" it is 90% greasy breading and a literal shred of dried out chicken meat.
The three grease soaked paper towels squeezed out of one tiny peace of "shrimp toast" about 1.5 inches long. Disgusting.
egg drop soup
This is supposedly whiting. Super greasy, cold, thick breading, and not whiting. Ok
No. 1 Taste's website offering free drinks or eggrolls per $6, excluding lunch. If you ask, "Doesn't matter, dinner too!!"
Ordered the Sesame Chicken. A lot of breading, hardly any meat.

We ordered from uber ears; they had a special for buy one get one general Tso's chicken which we both enjoy. We chose fried rice and added two egg rolls and a wonton soup. The order arrived quickly and was still nice and hot. The wonton soup was good. The broth had a nice flavor and there was a generous amount of wontons. The egg rolls were average. The fried rice was good; could have used a bit more flavor in my opinion. I liked the chicken in that it was not too heavily breaded; it had a nice texture. It was a bit overly salty though in my opinion without nuance of spice that I like in general Tso's. Portion sizes were good and I felt it was a good value for the amount of food. Overall, this is a solid takeout spot. I want to try others around town, but I would also order from here again.

I wasn't expecting much due to the low price with a buy 1 get one free order of dumplings, but they were on Uber Eats it was convenient. The Hot and Sour soup was very good and the dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. I don't understand the negative reviews, for the price we got a ton of food. More dumplings than we could eat in one sitting. And everything was hot when it arrived. If nothing else, go for the dumplings.

Pros: Extremely fast delivery. Food was hot. Driver was very courteous. Ordering was easy. Got a free white rice.Cons: The food is mid. They don't open until noon, and can't even start your order until then. Review: We ordered delivery via their website on 01/11/24. It was a pretty large order for 4 people. The order was correct, and arrived within 30 minutes, which was 30 minutes sooner than expected so that was nice. The food was hot, and the delivery driver was a very nice guy. The food itself was meh. It wasn't bad, but I have definitely had better Chinese food. The fried dumplings (which their website says is one of their most popular items) was mostly fried dough with minimal filling. It's almost like the filling was just more dough. The Mongolian beef was just okay, as was the fried rice. The General Tso chicken looked more like orange chicken. In fact, another person in our group ordered orange chicken, and they looked the same side by side but for the addition of sesame seeds. Overall, I think this place is just okay-ish, and I probably will not return.

ordered from this place because I got a deal on ubereats and wanted to give it a chance despite the low ratings... the food came super hot which was nice since it was really cold out and although I picked it up, the worker seemed very kind from my quick interaction with her. the egg drop soup was very bland so I added a whole packet of soy sauce which still didn't make it that flavorful. the crab rangoons (which I was most excited for) were super disappointing. the wrappers were kind of stale and hard to bite/chew. the filling was very minimal and didn't contain much crab, but instead had more cream cheese and onion (which I couldn't see but tasted). I think the rating for this place is valid and I will be on the lookout for a better spot for crab rangoons

We were hosting over the holidays and the number of guests and dietary issues kept shifting. I like a good Taste and a suggestion was made for Chinese food. A wave of hope washed over me when they confirmed that they'd be open for the holidays. Good, fresh, traditional Chinese food was a hit. We ordered carry out as we're close by. I love their lo mein!Thank you No. 1 Taste! Not sure why all the negative reviews. This place added to the Joy of the holidays.

First things first, I'm not sure why this restaurant has such a low rating. This was by far the best Chinese delivery experience I've had in Baltimore. The food arrived right on time and was very hot (straight out of the fryer it seems!). We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the General Tso's chicken. Both were incredibly crispy! The General Tso's was extremely flavorful and I wish I could have a bottle of that sauce to put on the white rice (which isn't hard to make but was cooked perfectly). The sweet n sour sauce seemed store-bought but was still great. The only negative I have is on the egg rolls. We got the pork and shrimp ones but I had a hard time finding anything but cabbage in either. Nevertheless, they were also fresh out of the fryer and were crispy. At the prices of these entrees and the generous portions, it's really hard to complain about the food. It was DELICIOUS! I usually prefer quality over quantity but No. 1 taste walks a fine line between the two. I will DEFINITELY order from here again in the future.

We ordered food at 8 pm and expected delivery was at 9:20. I called around 9:30 to check in the status of our order and was informed the order was cancelled because they didn't have a delivery driver. They claimed they cancelled the order after it was placed but ironically we didn't receive the cancellation notice until after we called.

I am going to admit, I didn't have high hopes for a Chinese restaurant over Uber Eats. But my sister and I were hungry for Chinese while we were in Baltimore, so I ordered from here.Holy... crap... this food was incredible. My family calls me a Chinese food snob because I eat it everywhere (in Boston) and I can tell you the best and the worst. I couldn't believe the quality and taste of this food. It was definitely not a taste we have up north. My sister loved it as well and she couldn't believe it. The only thing I am upset about is I can't get it 375 miles up north. There was not a single item that I had that wasn't fantastic. I know it's a standard dish, but the Chicken Lo Mein blew me away (and I'm usually just ambivalent on Lo Mein in general). If you know your Chinese food, give this a shot. 100% worth it.

Placed a large order and almost all was inedible.1) shrimp toast- literally dripping in grease. Squeezed one into 3 different paper towels and saturated them all. Totally gross, but order if you are in a hurry to clog your arteries.2) pepper shrimp- wasn't bad, but there were literally 4 shrimp in the box. The rest was green bell peppers and onions. You can't charge MORE fir a seafood less and then serve less of it. 3) General Tso and Sesame Chicken: both are the exact same dishes except one has a few sesame seeds sprinkled on too. Chicken flavored bread balls in sweet sauce with broccoli: I struggled to find a single piece of actual chicken in the mountain of greasy balls of batter. 4) beef egg foo young- no beef, all foo. The eggs were over cooked and in a chicken flavored sauce. No beef in site.5) fried whiting and fries- another grease fest. And there is no way that this is whiting. It's a big piece of fecal fed tilapia. I learned a hard and expensive lesson to never eat here again. Don't be like me.

I used to eat at this place all the time.Back in 2010 to 2016, when I worked in Baltimore, food was great. I was in the area at Harris Teeters was going to get Chinese food. The bar was closed so I thought I would go back to #1 So the food was not as good as it was. I bought $50 and according to there own ad I should have gotten an extra general so, didn't get it.The food I got was not worth the price. ItIs true you can't go back. Save your money, go somewhere else.
