This place has been on my radar to try for a while and we finally decided to check it out. First off, the sushi here is incredible. Super fresh and colorful with amazing presentations. We tried the all-you-can-eat deal and some options off the regular menu too. For AYCE sushi, this was the best I've had in the area. AYCE isn't limited to sushi and there's a bunch of dishes you can try as well. For us, service was great. We went on a slow day for lunch and the entire experience was fantastic. I see there's some negative reviews about service, but that wasn't the case for us. Here's what we had:Crispy Calamari: 5/5Hot, perfectly crispy, flavorful, large portion. Would definitely order again.Crab Rangoon: 4/5Creamy and indulgent with the perfect crunch. For my taste, they were a bit on the sweet side but I'm sure others would love that. Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura: 5/5Light, crispy batter with fresh ingredients. Cool presentation.Tuna Tartare Tower: 10/5 (yes, it's that good)This was hands-down the highlight of the night. Layers of fresh tuna, creamy avocado, and three types of tobiko. It's a visual masterpiece and a flavor bomb in every bite.Godzilla Roll, Norwegian Salmon Sashimi, & Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi: 5/5Fresh, vibrant, spicy, and expertly prepared. The yellowtail had just the right kick of heat from the jalapeño, and the Godzilla Roll is simply addictive. The wild-caught salmon from Norway exceeded expectations.Sweetheart Roll: 5/5Yes, it's a tuna avocado roll shaped like hearts. Perfect for sharing especially if you're here for a date night.Hibachi Combo (Maine Lobster Tail, Shrimp, and Scallops): 5/5Huge Maine lobster tail. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Worth the price!Banana & Oreo Tempura: 5/5I enjoyed fried Oreos more than I thought I would!Pro Tip:Try the all-you-can-eat menu. It's one of the best deals around for the quality of the sashimi, specialty rolls, and kitchen dishes that you can get. We'll definitely be going back.

My First Visit to This Restaurant, not as good as I expected.Overall Ratings: Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Food: 3/5 Parking: Free ParkingRestaurant:The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, with a spacious layout and attractive decor that creates a comfortable dining environment.Service:The service was underwhelming and felt comparable to that of a fast-food restaurant. The staff took orders and delivered the food, but there were no standout moments or added attentiveness to enhance the experience.Food:We opted for the all-you-can-eat menu and tried a mix of items from the sushi and kitchen offerings.-Miso Soup: Very good, with a nice depth of flavor.-Mushroom Soup: It was okay, nothing exceptional.-Seaweed Salad: Good and refreshing.-Chicken Katsu: Enjoyable and well-prepared.-Assorted Sashimi: Unfortunately, the sashimi didn't taste fresh, below average. The texture lacked the creamy, buttery quality expected from high-quality sashimi.-Assorted Special Rolls: Disappointing. One roll featured cooked salmon, which is unusual for a sushi restaurant. It completely disrupted the texture and flavor, especially for salmon lovers. Conclusion:For the price, I expected better quality and consistency in the food. While some dishes were enjoyable, others fell short, particularly the sushi and sashimi. There are better all-you-can-eat sushi options available, so I don't think I'd return to this restaurant.

No. 1 Sushi in DE far exceeded my expectations. When we walked in, I found the restaurant cleaner and more modern than most AYCE sushi places I have visited before. We immediately sat and got paper slips to check different menu options. Below are some of the things we ordered, including seaweed salad, sushi, tempura, hibachi, and matcha/red bean ice cream. All of the items were excellent but nothing compared to omakase or high-quality sushi restaurants. However, for the sticker price and ambiance, I would definitely recommend No. 1 Sushi and visit again!

I've been to this place at least 5 times in the last few months for AYCE and the food was consistently good from sashimi, sushi, the roll, beef teriyaki & other hot food we ordered. The service was good and efficient. My son just brought his friends here last weekend and they enjoyed the food very much. That's why the restaurant is called No 1 sushi.

$37 per person for all you can eat sushi is pretty steep, but really if you order 3 special rolls you are already coming out ahead. Order some sashimi and you win the gameSashimi and sushi are all made to order and feel freshOther items on the menu are fun to eat while you wait for the star of the show (sushi/sashimi) to show up We were the only people in here and our waiter was nowhere to be found, which was fine because we placed a massive order from the get goInterior is freshly painted and feels clean but you can tell the seats are made with cheap wayfair style couch material There are lots of restaurants offering sushi in the area but I would come here again specifically for the all you can eat sushiOh yeah, don't get the crispy calamari. I should have taken a picture of it but trust me - it was horrendous.

The food is reasonably priced. Sushi is way better than other nearby Japanese restaurants. We usually get a take out and always liked their food so we finally sat and eat. The place is gorgeous with nice touches. I would go back and try the all you can eat sushi!

Wife wanted to love this place. We been there 4 times each time I tell her it's not good and over priced since I don't really eat raw food so I couldn't give a honest review of the place. This week she ate there by herself and ended up getting sick and hugged the ceramic all night. Safe to say I'm happy we do not have to go here again as an option.

Place is nice clean friendly, staff nice atmosphere reasonable prices good menuThe sushi was not the greatest. It wasn't bad. It was A little better than OK. I was really hoping the sushi here would be amazing. I've been trying to find a great sushi place in Delaware, other than Miki Moto and Leshio. We only want once we only had sushi we will go again and try the Chinese food next time

#1 Sushi - #1 is poor service, #1 in poor food, and #1 in Customer Dissatisfaction! We made the unfortunate mistake of going to #1 Sushi and the experience was unforgettable. We went on a Monday night, so nothing in the experience can be blamed on weekend volume. In fact, the restaurant was only 30% full - scary to think what happens on a Saturday! We were a table of 3, and we were given the standard sheets to fill out the all you can eat requests - 1 for the kitchen and 1 for sushi. We waiting a good 20 minutes before we got any food, and amazingly the sushi was ready before things like an Avocado salad. In fact, while we ordered shumai in our original kitchen request, and repeatedly asked if they could check on it, we never actually got any shumai during our entire meal. Overall, the 90 minute 'dinner' consisted of us getting some of our food, but waiting and waiting for kitchen food. We politely asked both waitresses where our other food was, and they would go in the back to check...and never heard anything else. We did get someone elses food, which we corrected, and later watched the table across from us get our food, which sat for 5 minutes until they could get the wateress attention to say it wasnt their food. We watched the waitress return the food back to the sushi station, and then brought to our table. We finally decided to leave, shumai-less, hungry and frustrated. After waiting for 10 minutes to get someone to come to our table, we got up and went to the register - that got their attention! The waitress asked "Was Everything OK" to which i said "No, not really". Did she ask why? Nope - she just preset the tip to 0% and we paid and left. And important note - #1 Sushi is #1 in Over Price! This whole experience was $5 more than most other places. So be warned - unless you are trying to diet - this is not the place for you.
