You just can't beat it for the food for the view for the ambience for the drinks for the good company man it's got it all. Nanny park in space easy to get to easy to get out of. All year round crabs nowhere else in Baltimore can you get them?

I came on a Friday night when there was no wait to get seated. My friend and I came only for a snack and split a seafood platter which came with a crab cake, 3 scallops, 3 shrimps, and mahi mahi. I came mostly for the crab cake and it did not disappoint! There were large chunks of blue crab and it was perfectly seasoned. My second favorite was the scallops with tasted good with the side of old bay seasoning that we asked for on the side. I wasn't expecting much from the asparagus, but I ended up really enjoying it and didn't care too much for the cheesy potatoes (would rather get the Mac n cheese or fries next time). When we came the outdoor seating area was still closed. But I got a nice shot of the water just before entering. This would be a cute spot to come to in the summer!

What happened to this place? The food, the service, everything in between has become lackluster. This used to be my go to spot, I would always bring the girls and we have a specific waiter who would serve us every single time and he was just the sweetest young man. His name was the restaurant name I believe and we would always joke about him being "the guy." We haven't seen him in over a year and when I asked the hosts about him they all seem lost and confused. I don't know, this place started rubbing me the wrong way and it is crazy that a restaurant being so service reliant can change my opinion on ever dining there based off of staffing. I can officially say I will no longer be dining here. And if we're being honest, the two things they used to knock out of the park were crabs and service. All of their other food is very lackluster. We don't feel the love we used to feel, in fact, the last time I was here I felt stressed trying to pay the bill quickly and the servers were rushing us with our 2 hours.

The food is hit or miss. I have had the seafood Cobb salad, Mahi Mahi, steamed crabs, fried green tomatoes, the cream of crab soup and half & half soup. The seafood Cobb was spectacular, the cream of crab was very watery and unacceptable, the other dishes were good but nothing mind blowing. Their drinks are good and most people come here to drink and eat crabs in the warmer months. Also, they have a ton of TV's to watch the local sports teams. The service is fantastic! The ambiance is nothing special very typical Baltimore seafood place with a water view. I will say they are building around this area a lot and I wonder how that will affect the view, etc. If you want a place to eat crabs and drink, you'll pay a high price but it's comparable to any other place. Maybe a little bit nicer inside than some places.

This review is from when I went over the fall in 2024, before the announcement they were sold to the developers in Baltimore Peninsula - rebranded from Port Covington. I personally hate what they've been doing to the area but here we are. Nick's Fishhouse has been a staple in this community. I love going there for crabs. I have taken every out of town that has come to visit me to get crabs here. It's such a lovely experience as it's right on the bay and it feels really Baltimore authentic. I like their crabs a lot, and they are a great place for big groups as they have large tables. They have really great crushes here and an outside handwashing station, which is very much a crabhouse feel. They often have live music on the weekends and a decent Athletic NA selection. The staff and service is fine nothing super special, but there are a lot of workers here. I'll be really curious to see what happens now that they're under new ownership but I love Nick's Fishhouse. They have really good french fries and crabs.

9/2024 Bruschetta 9/10Fresh, Garlic bread was perfect Fried green tomatoes 9/10Wish there was more sauce on these, or even a remoulade. The lemon butter you couldn't taste at all. Chesapeake Crab balls 9/10Very good flavor. Good fry. Wish there was like a remoulade sauce though- they did not come with tartar. Fish and chips 10/10Fish was cooked perfect, flaky, juicy. Batter was delicious and beautiful flavor and crisp. Tartar sauce was delicious. Fries were very good too. Coleslaw just needed some salt.

When I came here a couple years ago, I told everyone and they momma about those fried green tomatoes with all that buttery lump crab meat on it.... I thought about that dish so often... well... we went back and WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED they changed the recipe. It now just tastes like green onion and it's disgusting. Don't mess up a good thing by changing something.. and they did... the crab pretzel was delicious and they didn't have any type of kid paper or crayons but the waitress gave my baby a pen and a piece of receipt paper and that was VERY NICE! Customer service, 10000/10.... The fact that they changed the number one thing that i loved so much 0/10

I came here a while ago for an event which was really fun. This time, I came back with a friend for dinner.We sat out in their heated tent and ordered their Boom Boom Shrimp to share. There were plenty of shrimp and the sauce was really good. For my entree, I got Nick's Signature Crab Cake which came with chips. There seemed to be a bit of breading in the crab cake. The chips were good and crispy. Overall, a decent crab cake sandwich. My friend enjoyed her Shrimp Salad Sandwich subsisted with fries. We also got a couple rounds of their Orange Crush which is one of the better ones I've had since it's made with fresh squeezed oranges. Service was fine and ambience was fun. It was chilly out so it was nice they had plenty of heaters to keep us warm. A fun place I'd like to check out again when it's warmer for waterfront views.

Nicks Fish House, AMAZING!!! This spot in located on the water, I visited on a cold winter night so I didn't get the full view of the water but I can imagine on a nice summer day/night it being amazing. The parking wasn't too great due to some construction in the area but the food is what you are there for and it was great! We tried a few items on the menu and everything we tried was good! No complaints at all. The service was great, food great, everything great.I do want to definitely visit when the weather is warmer and during the day to get a different experience. Definitely recommend

It's an updated review. The last reviews were ok and very good, but now they're more than good; it's excellent! The first time I was here was years ago. We've been coming since then. I returned with Hubby to get our favorite crabs with hammer LOL this time. Josh, our waiter, served us lunch. It was busy at the time due to lunchtime. We had two types of soup, the mixed and the crab soup. I loved the crab soup better than the one Hubby had, which was creamy and mixed with crab soup.We ordered the crabs. I lost count! We also had some fish tacos and the shrimp. Everything we had was excellent. The service from Josh was also excellent. The crabs and food were yummy! I can't believe how much I missed coming here, but just coming here and eating crabs is not easy. We'll be back when we pass by Baltimore or if I follow Hubby again. The restaurant is by the water, so we simultaneously have the views and good food. It's such a prominent place, inside and outside. Even the bar section is very big. The crabs were delicious. The way they were prepared was the winner! We get the flavor of the crabs and the seasoning in one bite. Try it!
