New China II is a small quaint restaurant in a shopping plaza. I placed a very large order about 160 worth and the entire order was incorrect. Their app allows you to select white or brown rice for the combination platters and we selected all white rice. Every platter had fried rice. It was super disappointing as we order from here often and have never had an issue up until recently. I attempted to explain the situation and even sent a picture to show them what I meant. Unfortunately we wasted our money as the person on the phone wanted to over explain and out talk me, I found that to be really rude. I was simply explaining while you all are saying white rice isn't an option, the app you all have on your website allows for customers to select white or brown rice. Frjed rice isn't even an option. We planned to drive back to get a refund but it would have taken us about a hour to do all that. Our guests picked around the rice and I cooked white rice to accompany the meals. I'm not sure that I'll be ordering again.

This place is ok with me to be a little hole in the wall. The prices are reasonable and service is quick. I ordered the beef and broccoli and an egg drop soup. The entree was good though the portion was small. The egg drop soup was lacking flavor but perked up once I added a bunch of soy sauce. For something quick to go, New China II is aight.

1) Roast pork eggroll was delicious. 2) Vegetable spring rolls are ALWAYS a hit! I could eat a bag of these as a meal... lol. 3) Wonton soup. Yummmm. 4) Vegetable dumplings. I acted for the fried dumplings. I should've gotten the steamed dumplings. The fried dumplings lacked any type of flavor. They were plenty of dumplings but none of them had flavor. This was a wasted choice. 5) White Meat Chicken Yat Gaw Mein - THIS WAS THE STANDOUT STAR of the meal. Amazing flavor, ample amount. I haven't had Yat Gaw Mein in years. This was a good reminder why I need to have this more often. Next time, I'm going to add more veggies... that will be INSANELY GOOD!!! SCORE!!! 6) String beans Szechuan style. This side has been a favorite of mine for quite some time. I order it every time I see it on the menu. Regretfully, I think they steamed too long in the container and all the flavor may have been steamed off (they condensation) , and all the brown liquid at the bottom of the container May have been where all the flavor was. But I'm here to tell you, these were not a hit. It was a massive waste of such an ample serving. CRIME!!!

Price: 4/5Quality of ingredients: 4.5/5 (brown rice is available!)Taste: 3/5 (standard Baltimore City Chinese carryout)Service: 5/5Cleanliness: 4/5Overall Value: 4/5Judging by the amount of reviews by users with their number of reviews in the single digits (possibly fake reviews), I am not surprised to see that New China II is not being properly rated. It appears that many reviewers before me forgot this establishment is a freaking Chinese food carryout joint. When this place stacks up against the other Chinese carryouts in Baltimore City, New China II firmly stands as one of the better ones.Food is solid for a cheap Chinese carryout. and priced similarly to other Chinese carryouts in the area. Staple items such as beef with broccoli, fried rice, and spring rolls have met expectation.Surprisingly, they have a few authentic Chinese dishes on the menu, such as chicken with eggplants and crispy duck. While I have not had the courage to try the duck yet, I had the chicken with eggplants and it was okay. The white-meat chicken and eggplants were clearly very fresh, but the accompanying sauce in the stir-fry tasted off and it had too much of it. Execution could be better, but hey, it's a Chinese carryout in Baltimore City. One thing of note is New China II offers brown rice instead of regular white rice with your entrees at no extra charge. The place is clean, and the people are friendly. The young fellow at the counter speaks very good English. Will return.

It's not the best but it gets the job done. I come here for the shrimp or chicken and broccoli only. I've tried a couple other items but wouldn't recommend. Once, I ordered the kung pao shrimp which was sorrowfully disappointing. It was mostly veggies and the shrimp was the size of a pencil eraser. I would consider this place the booty call of Chinese food.

Update: second time ordering the same meal and it was way different. This time, the lo mein wasn't that dark rich color like it was before - it was much lighter, seemed undercooked, and didn't taste the same at all. Not sure if a different chef was on staff or something but I was disappointed with the inconsistency. The pork dumplings were just okay - they were very chewy and not that crispy. Wonton soup was the same but this time the noodles were stale. Sad that I was so excited about this place but they didn't come through today.

I got egg roll and wonton soup. They are good. Little in mild side, not too salty which I don't mind. I can dip my egg roll in soy sauce and it taste perfect. Im so surprised how cheap and affordable their food.
