Neptune's Seafood Pub

Neptune's is probably the best local choice for a late(-ish) sit-down dinner. Most recently, they seated me in the dining room at about 9 o'clock on a Friday night, along with at least one other table. The restaurant's signature item, Seafood Neptune, is the real deal. They do not skimp on protein -- I counted more than ten mussels -- and the generous portion of pasta more than satisfied my hunger.

Came here for a repast. Because of this, our party took several tables and shared several dishes, so I was able to try several dishes. Hats off to the staff for putting up with our chaos.Most notable standout - zucchini straws. Nice and crispy with a lovely peppercorn sauce. Would absolutely get again. Most of the other appetizers were fine, but standard.My wife ordered a burger and I got the soup of the day. Again, nothing bad. Kiddos ordered from the kids menu (Child #1 is a sucker for a cheese quesadilla), which has several options.Overall, a decent place to get a drink and some good food to accompany.

This was my first time eating at Neptune's, my boyfriend has been in on numerous occasions. Our server was very friendly, and the atmosphere was good! Our starter was the Crab Queso, it was so full of flour that it had no taste of cheese or crab, just flour. I ordered the Beer Battered Cod as my entree. The 2 sides i chose were the Gouda Mashers, and the Roasted Veggie Risotto. The cod was INCREDIBLY bland. No seasoning in the fish itself, or in the batter. The 2 sides i chose were good though. My boyfriend ordered the Crab and Corn Chowder. Incredibly thick from flour, and tasted like flour, once again. Super dissatisfied with our dinner. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't intend on getting drunk, and eating the food they serve.

Very good food - had the scallop bites and crab cake sandwich. They play Fox News at the bar and the clientele watches - do with that info what you will

This place was recommended to us by family who are local. Place is super cute and is basically on the beach/boardwalk. The restaurant side is separate from the bar side. The bar seems to generally be filled with locals and we'd say it's a bit of dive bar vibe (in a good way?) both the restaurant and bar are small and intimate. The bar was busy at lunch but the restaurant side not as much. There were only two servers so it took a second for us to be seated; service was slower in general, but they seemed to be understaffed this day and were dealing with some patrons making a ruckus in the bar. They were sweet and apologetic.I was after steamed crab legs this day but unfortunately that isn't on the menu so we grabbed some drinks and apps instead. The crab dip was incredible! Came out of the broiler bubbling hot, was so flavorful, and the French bread was hot, crispy out the outside, but fluffy and soft on the inside! I'd come again just for this!The chowder was good, but didn't wow us. It was much thicker/chunkier than other chowders I've had on the coast. It could have used a bit of salt/spice as well. The rest of the menu looked good and we would have tried the seafood pizza if I wasn't hankering for crab legs! Overall, a good experience

The food is always amazing! We love the menu and especially look forward to the specials -- they are fresh, creative, locally sourced, and the presentation is always top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are all clearly committed to providing great service! Highly recommend this restaurant.

My daughter and I went to this establishment. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely try this place again.

The only redeeming item we had was the corn & crab chowder. If you stick with that - it's a five star winner. Outside of this, our food was over cooked, under seasoned and just not good. The "catfish" was more breading than fish and tasted like old burnt fryer oil. The pizza had almost no sauce and was charred. I don't even think it was made on real pizza dough. The tater tots were unseasoned and also looked like they were cooked in old fryer oil. The broccolini was also over cooked and army green. We really wanted to like this place, unfortunately it just wasn't good.

Went there with my partner one night (and the last time). Server had an attitude, and was waiting on her preferred tables, and totally ignoring us. Cancelled our drink order and left. Will not eat in a business were i am disrespected

Service was great. Crab cake was delicious. The asparagus was charred and inedible for both my husband and I.
