Naz’s Halal Food

I work nearby, and my coworker wanted us to do lunch. So we decided on this place. They do have indoor dining. I purchased the fish gyro.I never ever get tired of fish. The gyro was good with all fresh ingredients. They have several sauces. You can put it on the side.One is a white sauce, a green sauce, and the red sauce is Spicer but very flavorful. My gyro really hit the spot. I was not able to finish it for lunch, but I finished it off for dinner, and it still was tasty. I'm interested in trying some of the other items on the menu. The restaurant tables were clean. Since we decided to dine in. So that's good to know.

Today is the grand opening of "Naz's Halal Food" and they are feeding the community for free from the hours of 12pm to 2pm (rice platters only). So you already know the line was out the door and basically around the corner. Since this was my first time trying them, I decided to get the combo over rice (lamb & chicken) and boyyy was It good. Now as a heads up the lamb has onions mixed in It, so if you have any allergies be aware. But besides that the food was super flavorful, including the white and green sauce.Fun fact: this is one of 13 locations.

The restaurant looked clean and staff was okay (just seemed like they didn't want to be there) and weren't very friendly. The food was also very mediocre. We both got the lamb over rice with pita and baklava (have had better). Only plus side is price is affordable for how much food you receive. With so many restaurants that serve this type of food, I think I'll stick to some of the other ones nearby.

I recently visited Naz's Halal in Odenton, Maryland, excited to try their renowned rice platters. I opted for the Combo Over Rice with extra meat, hoping for a flavor-packed experience. While the meal had its merits, a few hiccups left me with mixed feelings.The Combo Over Rice promised a delightful fusion of chicken and lamb gyro, both marinated for 24 hours and grilled to perfection. Served on fluffy aromatic basmati rice, accompanied by a crisp salad featuring lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a variety of drizzled sauces, the presentation was appealing.However, the extra meat I ordered seemed to be missing or, perhaps, the servings were on the smaller side. This left me slightly disappointed, as I was anticipating a heartier portion.My wife received the wrong order, requiring an extra trip to the store for correction--a small inconvenience that affected our overall experience.Beyond the rice platters, Naz's Halal offers a diverse menu, including gyros, cheesesteaks, burgers, chicken sandwiches, New York chopped cheese, wings, and various sides like cheese fries, sweet corn nuggets, and pita with hummus. The variety is commendable, providing options for diverse tastes.While the meal didn't entirely live up to my expectations this time around, I acknowledge that the restaurant is relatively new, less than a year old. I've heard positive things about other locations, and I'm hopeful that this branch will find its stride with time. Naz's Halal in Odenton has the potential to become a go-to spot for delicious food, and I plan to revisit in the future to see how they evolve.

I can say the lamb gyro I got was flavorful and well made. Service was indifferent but efficient. Nice addition to the neighborhood!

Guess they recently opened the Odenton location; luckily ran across it while looking for delivery.Can't wait to try more. As an initial order, we got the chicken/lamb combo rice bowl with green and white sauce. Filling and tasty! The rice is quite good.We also felt we had to try the extra spicy wings - we are a fan! It's a combination of heat and great flavor; if you like spicy things it's not overkill.The pita is just OK but sort of necessary.They were extremely fast at delivery.

Food is delicious, and everyone is so friendly. My son and I come here about once a week, we get the best recommendations from staff.

The falafel was hard dry and unseasonably. The other food tasted like old cooking oil.

I was really excited to see this place open as a healthy, reasonably priced alternative to what's in that area now. So it pains me to post this, but I've tried to get resolution with management first to no avail. I ordered the chicken platter to go. When I got home, started eating, and pulled out someone else's chewed up gum from my mouth, pretty disgusting. It wasn't visible to me prior because the used gum was white, in a salad, with white sauce all over it. I'm pretty sure chewing gum in a food prep area is a health code violation. Let alone the fact that how does someone not know they lost their gum in the food for the customer? Instead of posting on Yelp, I contacted management. They replied about a week ago that they "would get back to you ASAP!"Nothing since. All I wanted was to know that they fixed the problem. They trained staff on proper food hygiene and trained staff - no chewing gum in the food prep area. But I've heard nothing, so I don't know if food hygiene has improved since. Pictures of the food hygiene problem I was hoping management would fix.

Ordered through DoorDash. Gyro came without sauces that were ordered on the side. It was a lot of food that I threw out. It was dry, even after adding sour cream. Also ordered a hockey puck hamburger that was 5 ounces, but completely flattened and so overcooked it crumbled when bitten into.
