Namit Filipino BBQ catered our 120-person wedding at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA in September 2024 and absolutely delivered! They catered our cocktail hour, our dinner buffet spread, and our dessert bar with a full line-up of Filipino dishes like lumpia, pancit, bbq, turon, buko pie, and more. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great local business specializing in Filipino food to cater their own special event! I couldn't imagine our wedding having any other caterer! When my partner Derrick and I were planning our multicultural wedding celebration, I knew that I wanted to feature Filipino cuisine and that we wanted to support a small, local business in the Washington, DC area. We searched around across many different vendors that offered Filipino dishes, but Namit was the only one to completely blow us away with how good the food was across the board. Not only did we love it, but it was also parent-approved and they're tough to please when it comes to Filipino food! Once we brought Namit on board to cater our wedding, we started working with owner and chef Carmel to define our menu and also go over some of the dietary restrictions we had. Carmel was so easy to work with and very proactive in building a great menu for each part of our wedding. She and her partner Paolo made sure to work closely with our wedding planner and also made it a point to understand the ins and outs of our venue, which didn't have a formal kitchen for them to work out of. They adapted to the venue seamlessly and delivered each element of our menu without a hitch. Even better, our guests absolutely loved the food! A member of our wedding party even told us that they went back to the buffet line three times because the food was so good. After the wedding, multiple guests followed up and asked me where to find Namit's pop-up and food truck location because the food was so tasty that they definitely wanted to have it again. Derrick and I look forward to seeing Carmel and the Namit Filipino BBQ team grow and thrive in the Washington, DC area and beyond!

Wow! This place blew my expectations out of the water. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were giant. Everything was rich, savory, and filling. I had the chicken sisig and my partner had the mixed bbq plate and both were tender with excellent flavor. They might have some of the best rice I've ever tasted. I'll def be returning to try more things!

One night, my dad brought home food from this food truck and I was not sure what to expect, but normally he always has good suggestions. I can't speak on the service and the ambiance since I was not at the food truck, but the garlic rice and chicken (not sure what it was called) were excellent. I will have to be on the lookout for the food truck if I am in the Columbia area.

YUMMY! We got to try Namit when we were at Black Flag's. Dare I say, one of the best food I've had in th DMV area. They offer melt-in-your-mouth bbq. My favorite was the pork, husband liked the brisket. Chicken was good too. MAN. You just need to try everything. We are so glad we got to try Namit. Run, don't walk!

Our first time trying Namit and it was probably the beat food we had in a while. The sisig was perfect, lumpia not over cooked, and the lechon perfectly crunchy. Their garlic rice was also very good. The portions were large and we added some BBQ and extra rice and had meals for two days. Highly recommended.

Namit Filipino Barbecue is a Filipino food truck that operates Wednesdays through Saturdays - just check their social media, as they are really good with updates and being responsive!Their menu offers various appetizers, platters, and skewers - they may also feature specials of the day (such as Lechon Chicharron), so, again, check their updates!I was excited to see that they were going to be in Upper Marlboro, as they are usually in the Columbia area, so I knew I had to check them out!I ordered:+Shrimp & Veggie Lumpia - these were crispy spring rolls filled with veggies and chunks of shrimp; never had this as a filling for lumpia before, and these were tasty! This was served with a small cup of sweet chili sauce+Chicken BBQ Skewers - I ordered two of these, and these were generous in portions! Juicy chicken that had that nice little char from the grill, glazed with a sweet soy garlic bbq - these were flavorful and yummy!+the Beef Brisket BBQ platter - one of their specials of the day, this was served with garlic rice, 2 sliced cucumbers, and a side of Atsara (a green papaya relish); the brisket was a bit too tough and was hard to chew, as I was hoping it would be fork-tender; I did like the glaze, though; the garlic rice was one of the better garlic rice I've had, as it was flavorful, and the fresh cucumber slices and the Atsara were nice complements to the proteinYou can place your order online, or order in-person; the staff here are very friendly and kind!I'd like to try out their garlic noodles (sadly, they were out on this visit!), the Chicken Inasal, and their desserts on the next visit!Check this food truck out!+Chicken BBQ Skewers+Shrimp & Veggie Lumpia+friendly & kind service!+check their social media for locations/updates!+online ordering available

2.18.23Sure, I've dined once before at a Filipino establishment, but it paled in comparison. I have an affinity for several Asian cuisines such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese and am happy to now add Filipino cuisine to the list. Orders can be placed in person or via this link: www.clover.com/online-ordering/namit. I placed my order on my laptop as I had issues on my phone. I set the pickup time for 5:45.I ordered the pork ribs platter and pork lumpia for myself and the chicken skewers platter for my hubby. Each platter is served with atchara (green papaya relish), cucumbers, and garlic rice or garlic noodles (pancit) for an additional $2.Upon arrival, I was told it would be a few minutes since I arrived early. After a few minutes, I was apologetically informed that they ran out of the pancit and was refunded $2. My order was ready 5 minutes later than my pickup time. Normally I wouldn't mind, but it was cold. The downside of food trucks and having to wait in cold or wet conditions. The bbq aroma permeated in the air and smelled amazing. When my hubby opened the box he commented immediately on the lovely presentation. One bite into the platter and it made me keep wanting more. Everything was so delicious and fragrant. The edgesof the ribs were a little more crispy than I would have liked, but the interior was very moist and tender. Next time, I will ask for more sweet chili sauce for my lumpia. I wasn't sure if I'd like the atchara, but my husband and I both really enjoyed it. It was light and refreshing. This was his first time having Filipino food and he really enjoyed it and said he would have it again. I could definitely see this being in our rotation. I hope for my next visit, they have the ube pie. Apparently, their dessert menu changes. I highly recommend Namit. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

If you're in the Howard County area, then you know Filipino food around here is practically non-existent. Namit Filipino barbecue changes that. They're a Filipino food truck that moves around to different parts of Maryland like Laurel or Hyattsville, but will always try to be in the Columbia area at least once a week. A humble but burgeoning Filipino food truck with a simple menu and deep flavor, Namit offers everything from meat platters to desserts!I got the chicken bbq platter and veggie lumpia appetizer. Both dishes were delicious. The Lumpia is crispy without being too greasy and goes great with the sweet chili sauce. You can order online (they have a link on their facebook and Instagram page) and pick up or order directly at their food truck. The workers are super friendly and will remember repeat customers, which is definitely a warm welcome everytime I pull up to their truck. Give them a try if they're in your area!

Every thing we have ordered from this food truck has been delicious!!! We've ordered their lumpia, skewers, the beef brisket, and the sisig Lechon. Their garlic rice is perfect! We've only been able to make it to their Saturday spot outside at the Blackflag brewery. They give you a pager so you can go in the brewery and get something to drink while you wait for your order to be completed.
