I decided to give Mucho gusto a try after a string of mediocre restaurants in Towson U neighborhood. Service by bartenders Kyle and Stephen were top notch. Food was decent, unfortunately. Nachos were a-ok. Texture of it isn't what I would expect from a more upscale Mexican place. Wasn't too impressed with the chicken quesadillas either. Birria sliders were pretty nice: dipping sauce was spot on although the beef was a bit dry. My favorite cocktail was their fresh fruit martini: I had it with their guava puree base and it was a lovely vodka martini. Also liked their red sangria but the jalapeño margarita was a-OK. Hardly any jalapeño flavor other than a slice of jalapeño pepper that was in it. A relatively nice happy hour experience overall and I may return when I'm back in Towson.

Solid place for good drinks and good food. They have a pina colada, it's not frozen so I was skeptical but it's good! Everytime I drink it I feel like if I close my eyes I'm at a tropical resort lolI often pick this place as my after work happy hour spot.

Nice new spot in Towson in the shops at Kenilworth center if you like Tex-Mex. Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon last weekend and it wasn't too crowded. There was plenty of parking so I was able to get a spot right in front. There was no wait to be seated. The waiter came out and took my drink order. They have house made chips and salsa but you much purchase it so it's not complimentary. I will warn you they have a drink that you can have a photo printed out on. Please make sure you clarify you want the photo printed drink. Don't do like me and ask for the drink with the picture because they will bring you picture of a drink. I ended up accidentally getting a whole pitcher of margaritas. They have a no refund policy on all drink purchases so I was stuck with it. The food was great. I had enchiladas with salsa verde. It was three decent sized chicken enchiladas with a Side of refried beans and Spanish rice. Everything was very tasty. I would like to head back and try their brunch menu. Other than the drink miss-hap it would have been a 5 star experience. I would come back again.

As a huge Mexican food fan, Mucho Gusto did not disappoint. I came here for a date and this was both of ours first time here. Service was fast and consistent. Our server was very nice. Special shoutout to the bartender because those Mucho Margarita was strong! I had a watermelon margarita and my date tried the strawberry margarita. I wanted another but all I needed was one. The guacamole was fresh and sooo good. I pretty much ate it by myself because my date was not a fan of avocado. I had the birria tacos and my date had the shrimp tacos. The birria was so tender and the consumme was delicious. My date enjoyed his shrimp tacos. While I'm on the fence about going on a second date with the guy, I definitely have another date with Mucho Gusto!

I went during happy hour on a Tuesday and everything was delicious! Service was quick and our waiter checked on us frequently. They have daily happy hour specials and they are a scratch kitchen so all of their sauces and syrups for drinks are made in house. All of the decor and organization of the space was really nice as well. This is a restaurant that I would frequent!

I was really excited to try this place because of its great reviews and the always packed parking lot, but after my visit, I'm left disappointed . It's definitely not authentic Mexican food. Most of the items felt like they came straight from a bag or can. I ordered the salsa verde enchiladas, but didnt expect it to be smothered in salsa. The excessive sauce made them soggy and overwhelmed the dish. The Mexican rice was hard, and the peas were dried out. The refried beans started off decent, but then had a weird aftertaste, almost like they came out of a can. The nachos were the highlight of the meal, but overall, I don't think I'd recommend this place.

Dined here for my 50th birthday, my best friend and I. We were greeted by a friendly greeter and seated right away. They had a cute little area with props where you could take photos. The waitress assisted us right away. I had a charred pineapple margarita and a peach margarita. The peach was my favorite. I also had nachos, bacon wrapped jalapenos and boom boom shrimp over coleslaw. The portions were very tasty and filling. This place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night but, there were no long waits for anything. They suggested dessert but, we declined because we were already full. This isn't a very large place so plan ahead if you have a large group. Check them out if you're in the area. They won't disappoint.

0 stars**** This place is NOT about customer service. I ordered something off the menu that did NOT specify the ingredients in it and I was unable to eat it. (Mind you it was UNTOUCHED) I asked if I could switch the starter for something else and pay the difference. The answer was a prompt NO because "the kitchen did nothing wrong" so make sure if you go here to be 100% sure of what you would like or you will have to pay for something untouched. Also, my food had no flavor and my rice was HARD/uncooked. I would not recommend this place as the manager does not care about making the customers happy. Try an authentic Mexican cuisine! Don't waste your money here :)

We stumbled upon this restaurant while in Towson and decided to give it a try for some tacos. As expected for a Friday night, the place was packed, but we managed to get on the waiting list and were seated within about 15 minutes. They have a few outdoor tables adorned with beautiful decorations and fairy lights, perfect for the evening.Upon entering, you're greeted by a large, inviting bar area. To the left is a dining area with vibrant colors and photos decorating the walls. The service was prompt once we were seated. The food at neighboring tables looked fantastic, and many people seemed to be ordering the Guacamole, which is made fresh to order. We decided to try it and chose the medium hot option.Craving tacos, we noticed the menu had two sections: specialty tacos (2 pieces) and a regular section where you can choose either 2 or 3. We chose shrimp tacos from the regular section and La Gringa from the specialty section. Both the La Gringa (special chicken tacos) and shrimp tacos were delicious. My wife found it a bit challenging to eat the La Gringa because its shape caused the stuffing to fall out when she tried to fold it in half. Taste-wise, everything was awesome. The drinks looked tempting on all tables, but I went for the non-alcoholic Mucho-passion. It was good, though not great. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant, loved the food and service, and I'll definitely be bringing my friends here next time.

First time here. Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, overall a good experience.Had the queso fondino to start, then had a shrimp burrito and carne asada tacos. Burrito was the best if our choices, but all the food was fresh and tasty. Definitely worth a try
