Highly recommend! This place has beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people, beautiful food! People here are super nice and the food was very good ! fried chicken (all 3 options) were delicious ... pizza was so good...my favorite appetizer was the shrimp balls... we also tried the burger and the steak was so juicy and the flavor was great! Will definitely come back!

What a perfect spot in this really cool historical space. The restaurant is in the same area as Monument brewing up in Highlandtown. Owned by the same family as OneDo Coffee in Canton, I'd describe Motte as an elevated Korean fusion bar with a great mix of classics like bibimbop and bulgogi, but also have a mix of bar food like wings and pizza! It's nice that there is something for everyone and it was all delicious. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with the kind bartender and looooved our cocktails. This is the perfect spot for date night or dinner with friends, but a little pricier than some of the local spots, but worth it in my opinion. This unique building deserves a unique restaurant that is here to stay and I am hopeful Motte is it!! Definitely go give it a try!

I wanted to love Motte so bad. The outside is very cute and best of all there is a PARKING lot. The inside is also very cute and aesthetic and feels cozy but spacious at the same time. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, fried squid and Motte fried chicken. I ordered the house red wine and that was honestly the best part of my meal. The Brussels sprouts were fine. A little on the sweet side. It had a garlic aioli that didn't really lend to any Korean flavors I was expecting. The fried squid was also fine and a little tough. The batter had no seasoning and the sauce was mild and again, didn't really lend much in terms of flavor. The chicken was the most disappointing dish of all. I was expecting garlic soy or gochujang or ANY flavor but it lacked any seasoning whatsoever. While the chicken was cooked perfectly and the skin was crispy, the lack of flavor was really disappointing. The dish came with a seasoning salt for dipping which would have served a better purpose seasoning the chicken. It also came with three TINY pieces of pickled radish and while we ordered a side of kimchi, that was also tiny and too sweet. The fries were fine. Service is really great and the bathrooms are really clean so I do appreciate that. Motte is a newer restaurant so I hope they only improve with time. I would probably try them again in a few months but not anytime soon.

Motte is relatively new so I completely understand them still getting the menu finalized and exploring various options. I will say they should update it to reflect the items they are no longer serving. We discovered the steak listed was not what was available as they were trying out another special. The food presentation was 9/10. The apps and entrees were plated beautifully. I enjoyed the cocktail options. Our table ordered a variety of things to taste a bit of everything on the menu. Brussel sprouts 10/10Wings 10/10Motte Salad 3/10 -I think it was because I expected that it would be chopped up and presented differently but it was more reminiscent of a wedge salad Bulgogi 10/10 -that dish is a star! Steak special 10/10 -loved the presentation and that it is smoked and brought out to the guest Fried half chicken -6/10 chicken was cooked well but the flavor left me wanting more Tang soo Yook (fried pork)-10/10 Hot and Sweet Shrimp Pizza 10/10Customer service was a 8/10. I was late to join my party and the front of the house greeted me immediately and escorted me to my table. Top tier! Last night we were told was one of their busiest nights thus far. Our tables did not stay dirty. All of the staff were very attentive to all the guests in the restaurant. I absolutely loved that. The inside of the restaurant is very much a vibe. I love the lighting. It's perfect. I plan to return again to try some additional things!

A lovely experience all around! This restaurant was open for 3 weeks when we came and I had no idea since the service was fantastic. It has a cool, cozy but elevated ambiance with thoughtful touches. The staff were welcoming and all so friendly. We loved all of the food we ordered and were really impressed with their craft cocktails. My personal fav was the "Carried Away." I knocked one star just because I felt like the food menu items were a bit pricey for the portion, but all of our food was SO delicious. I especially liked the Fried squid appetizer. Definitely recommend checking them out~

Drinks, food, service, everything was 10/10. Such a cool spot with amazing people running the kitchen and bar. Perfect for date nights, work lunch, or a night out with friends!

My wife and I stumbled into Motte on a whim--no reservation, just a craving for something new. We showed up expecting disappointment when they told us they were fully booked, but the staff worked some magic and found us a table anyway. That alone set the tone for an incredible night.Our server, Mario, was a fireball of energy--equal parts welcoming and knowledgeable. He didn't just take our order; he guided us like a culinary hype man, tossing out suggestions with genuine excitement. We kicked things off with the wings, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I could've demolished 100 of them. Crispy, juicy, packed with flavor--they're the kind of wings that haunt your dreams. Then came the shrimp balls, a revelation that made me wonder why shrimp toast everywhere else doesn't taste *this* good. Plump, savory, with a perfect crunch--absolute perfection.My wife, who usually sticks to her comfort zone of "basic" flavors, went for the soy pork and egg dish on Mario's nudge. She couldn't stop raving about it--rich, tender, and just the right amount of umami to win her over. I opted for the bulgogi, and it was straight-up killer. Smoky, sweet, with that melt-in-your-mouth beef that hits all the right spots. Every bite was a flex of how dialed-in their kitchen is.We're already plotting our return for the smash burgers and pizza--word is, they're just as unreal. Motte gets it: bold flavors, no pretension, all delivered in a gorgeous historic building that feels special without trying too hard. Plenty of parking sealed the deal--no stress, just vibes. It's the ultimate date night spot, and we'll be back before they can miss us.
