Food is over priced and you get a very small amount. Service is very slow. Not worth it.

Had their food at my friends holiday party and had to get the information from them and it turned out to be from Monikay's kitchen! Thankfully it's only 10 minutes from our house. The place was very clean, the service was amazing- the woman was very patient since it was our first time ever ordering from an African restaurant so we were unfamiliar with the menu. We ended up going with jollof and suya with the red sauce, oh my goodness, this was delicious! Will definitely be back!

I decided try Monikays for the first time last week after seeing someone on ig posting their food. They have a wide range of west African (Ghanaian) meals. I ordered the waakye (brown rice and beans comes with spaghetti, choice of meat) and the jollof and fried turkey. The Waakye was pretty good and the jollof with the turkey was really flavorful. It appears they are only doing takeout and their hours may be a little off, so definitely call before going. My mom tried to order around 12pm and no one was answering. When i called around 2pm, they answered and took my order. Customer service could be better for sure, but the food made up for it. When we arrived, i had to call because all the doors were locked but it was promptly brought out. They also told me they only accept cash, just FYI.

The here is a hit or miss. The Food is good when it's good. But it's consistently good. They weigh their food which is pretty absurd. From the SUYA to jollof they weigh it. If you plan on weighing your food at least let your customers know this and include the price per weight on the menu. I feel like they aren't in the restaurant business for repeat customers.

Monikay's is a pleasant place to be. The food is amazing, vibes are impeccable, and most of all I loved the service here. As a fellow west African, I love to patronize west African restaurants. This place did not disappoint. I'll be back.

The food, jollof and tilapia, was excellent & wait time was reasonable. Big complaint was pricing. The menu listed the dish for $26, which I thought was pricey for tilapia. When I went to pay, the price jumped to $32. When I asked, they told me the tilapia was larger than usual so they charged more. Questionable if I will return

I have only ever gotten suya jollof and plantains from here and every time they give me a great meal and it's always the same. I call ahead because if you order in person you'll be waiting 25 minutes but the food is well worth the wait.

I came here to order food for my family and the price increased once we got there , we waited over an hour for food, they kept asking what order we had ( maybe write it down).

I had Jollof rice with beef. It was tasty. It's spicy so if you can't handle hot foods, avoid this dish. My only complaint was the beef had a lot of fat. My husband had rice and beans. This dish is way more than rice and beans. It has beef, fish, spaghetti, and a boiled egg. My husband loved it. It was also spicy hot. Our daughter got fu-fu which was a beef soup served with a huge potato ball. Yummy. We ate in the small restaurant. It looked like most people pick-up and leave. The staff was incredibly nice. Having never eaten fu-fu before, they made a small sample for my daughter. The servings are huge. I took home enough for 2 more meals. Even my husband had leftovers. It's expensive. You get your money's worth though. I'd recommend it.
