Money Muscle BBQ

NEVER ORDER DELIVERY HERE. They use their own courier service for delivery and charge an $11 delivery fee and ask for tip so I paid $16 to get the food delivered (probably a 20 minute drive). I ordered it 12 hours in advance and it's already an hour late. My recommendation is to not order delivery from them. They charge more money then other delivery services and provide a worse service.UPDATE: This is insane. They finally got a driver to drop it off 2 hours late. Except they didn't... I got a notification that the food was dropped off but it wasn't there. I went to the front desk, it wasn't there. I went to other floors in my building, it wasn't there. I went to other buildings, it wasn't there.

So I ordered money muscle through door dash. I was prepared for the food to be dry and feel completely upset about the quality for the price. I was wrong , the food was amazing and the brisket was moist and tender , the ribs fell off the bone and the bbq sauces are award winning just on their own. This place is a must try and although the prices are still kind of high , nowadays what isn't lol . I would and will order from them again.

Food was good, ordered a few different items but my favorite are the smoked wings. Staff is attentive however I find that the platters are a bit on the precier size for the small portion that it brings. Ordered the brisket and wish they had put more then what I paid for. Coleslaw is good and the different sauces as well.

New customer Delivery! The brisket sandwich was tasty but the amount given was about 1/4 cup. So Overpriced ($17). There was no BBQ sauce on the sandwich and the bun was soggy. The sweet potato fries wedges tasted old as if they'd been under a heat lamp all day. The Bread pudding was meh...in taste. The portion was tiny for the amount of money you pay ($13). The Sriracha cheddar biscuits were ok but they weren't fresh either. Lastly please label your sauces! I poured chocolate on the brisket bun thinking it was BBQ sauce since there was no sauce on the brisket sandwich!

I tried out their Texas brisket sandwich and it was pretty good. It says Texas brisket but the flavor profile is Carolina all the way. I'm guessing the Texas is a nod to the mastering of brisket in the Lone Star state. I haven't tried anything else yet but the friendliness of the staff, the location and the fact that the baked beans are pork-free will have me returning to try other options. I'll be trying the wings, baked beans and cornbread next. The Riverdale location has an open eating area great for sitting down with a few friends. It shares space with other eateries so large groups wouldn't work.

Ordered take out to try a new bbq place. Not bad! We got: Texas style brisket (good; I don't like mine with a lot of fat), bbq ribs (almost fall of the bone!), collard greens (not bad), French fries (standard but good), and baked beans (tasty but honestly too sweet for me). I wish they had some yams! I like that the menu clearly says what's gluten free, etc, which made ordering a breeze. For me, a solid option when I want some decent ribs.

Back in the day if it wasn't The Rib Pit on 14th street Uptown...there was no BBQ for me!! Now, there are a few swanky spots to choose from. We're not known for our BBQ, but...could this place I'm going to put us on the map? I used Door Dash to order a brisket sandwich from All Set Restaurant, which apparently is a black-owned restaurant that also owns this companion company (Muscle Money BBQ) as well. The sandwich was DELICIOUS! The brisket was moist and juicy. The bbq sauce was PERFECTION. The cole slaw was yummy, and I was worried about that because I do not even like mayonnaise. Everything about this sandwich was finger-licking good. The French fries it came with were soggy by the time it reached to me, but that means they were hot when they put them in the paper bag. I couldn't even complain because everything was just so darn good. I will definitely be back! 5 stars of out of 5!

I like the texture & flavor of this brisket and I'm picky because I grew up on NC BBQ & honed my palate on TX brisket. It's as flavorful as TX brisket but has more fat. More fat = more flavor but I remove it before eating so less brisket to actually eat. It's a bit on the salty side so I get tired of it quickly but then I often hear that my cooking "needs more SALT" from the peanut gallery. Overall, a winner especially when there are zero contenders IMO in this neck of the woods. You get your choice of BBQ sauce. The NC is vinegary in my experience but MMBBQ's version was tangy but less vinegary than NC. Tried KC sauce tonight & liked it very much. I typically do not use much BBQ sauce but add cole slaw on top and a bun no matter the type of BBQ - needs cole slaw with it.

Been a while since I've been here, and likely won't go back. The pulled pork was dry...really dry. Very little smoke and what flavor was there was mostly from a sauce that had been added but still didn't keep the meat from being dry. It was also overshredded to the point of being dust-like in texture. It was wasn't even recognizable as smoked pork. This was just really bad barbecue. The way it was placed on the sandwich was also a wreck. Everything just spilled out, in part because they piled on so much of the not-very-good pork meat that it left no room for the other parts of the sandwich. Again, this was just poor barbecue on top of a sloppy and poorly executed sandwich. I really wish this place was better because I'd love a good barbecue option that doesn't involve driving all the way to Riverdale, but this is definitely not that option.
