Monaghan's Pub

Pretty good food. Usually busy on the weekends. Had been around for a long time. Jerk chicken salad and cheesesteaks are good. The inside looks like a typical pub style. Good variety of drinks. A lot of people also get the shrimp salad and crab cakes.

We picked up dinner from here Saturday night. We ordered two Cheesesteak Subs with everything, French Fries and Old Bay Wings. The food was disappointing! The Sub meat was dry and burnt, hardly nothing on them, no cheese, peppers, or lettuce, just onions and tomatoes! French Fries were soggy and bland. The Wings didn't have much Old Bay on them and were fried too hard, we couldn't eat them all. Bottom line I will not be returning here.

This place is very good. For one, there is a 24 hour liquor store connected to it. I like how it's more of a one stop shop for us. We order the food ahead of time and pick it up at the liquor store. We can get our liquor as well as pick up our food. The food is good. I love the chicken salad and one time got the blue cheese burger which was also very good. My fiancé loves the open face roast beef with fries and gravy all over. He gets it all the time. The price is okay. Reasonable for the amount of food we get. Always fresh when we come to pick it up and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to make. This is our go to place when we do not want to travel far for good food as it is only 10 minutes from where we are.

I only gave it a 4 out of 5 because there was no sign to tell you where the entrance is to the bar but it's on the left of the building. Other than that the food was good, the service was good as well. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the drinks were good as well. It also has a liquor store attached to it which I thought was cool. I would go back again definitely. Make sure you check it out as well.

Service is fast and friendly. Food always come out hot and fresh. I've had the chicken basket, shrimp basket, cheese steak subs, french fries, Maryland crab soup, crab cakes, Monaghan's Club, Hot Italian Sandwich... It's all good. I've never had an issue with the food or the service and I go there pretty regularly. Also the beer is cold.

Surprisingly good food. It appears to be just a bar with some good TVs and no real ambience per se but the wood frames of the ceiling look nice. The main menu seems standard but they also have specials. We ordered the meat loaf and the heated cold cut sub. Wow, both were good. Meat loaf was dense, fresh hand made mashed potatoes, excellent green beans. Sub was fresh good bread and fixings. We split the fried cheesecake for dessert, very good. While the place seems to look underwhelming, it is better than typical bar food.

Great food, great tap selection and great staff. We hit it most every time we get to that part of Baltimore. The staff readily goes the extra step. I was very happy and relieved when once a dropped my wallet. They went to great effort to, not only track down my presence on FB but to find a phone number contact. That saved me a lot of grief. My Great Aunt was coming here decades ago and we are continuing our family tradition.

I love them! It's nearby, staff is always chill, never tries to speed you up and answers questions in addition to quick service even w/fresh food! I won't tell you my fave item on the menu bc it'll drive prices up lol, so I will say take a load off and stop by! You won't be disappointed at all. Crab cakes are divine fried or broiled and again, DID I SAY THE PRICES ARE PERFECTLY PRICED LOL. Great neighborhood bar and eats.

Our party of 4 was just turned away by the older, jet black haired server on staff. We traveled over 30 minutes to visit this restaurant as we were neighborhood locals just a few months ago. We entered at about 7:25 PM yet we were turned away even though closing is listed as midnight. Unfortunately the server/bartender seems not to care to take in business for the establishment after a certain time since it was clear she wanted no new patrons for the night well before closing time. We were not even offered a drink from the bar.

As much as my parents patronize this establishment, I am exasperated to be giving this review . I only gave one star because it's required . I specifically ordered exactly what I wanted . When my order arrived the bag was warm to the touch . I repeatedly asked the girl at the front counter with a head rag on , if my order had been warmed as I specifically requested that it not be . After going to the back , with my order she comes back and tells me she has a dilemma , because I opened the bag , and because it had been opened she can now not resell the order . Well my first issue is why you would want to resell already cooked food in the first place . The Manager was called and I asked that they look at how I ordered my food originally . After being told by the Manager or Owner that he couldn't resell the food , so basically they didn't want to remake my order . Soooo , you lose out on the food you claim you aren't going to resell but now you don't want to make the money that you would get from my order . Where's the logic . And it was confirmed that the kitchen didn't make my order correctly. I chose to walk out at that point . Very disappointed ! Do not recommend. Won't be going back !
