Miss Shirley's Cafe

The food was amazing! I went with friends for Restaurant Week with the discounted menu of $25 for an appetizer and entree. I had the duo of biscuits for the appetizer, which came with one Doppy's Cinnamon Raisin biscuit and one Pimiento Cheese biscuit. Both were amazing, but while I was partial to the savoriness of the cheese biscuit over the sweetness of the cinnamon one, they were both visually great with a vanilla pear jam. For the entree I had the Chicken 'n Cheddar Green Onion Waffles. The honey mustard aioli drizzle was amazing over both the chicken and the waffles, and the jalapeno butter that came with them was also a great complement to the sweet and savory waffles. The one knock I have is just the general priciness of the menu, but the restaurant week special menu helped attenuate this. The service was very quick even with how full the restaurant was, and the hot chocolate (with a fantastic whipped cream) had free refills. The ambiance was warm and homey even with the big crowd, making the whole experience an easy 5 stars!

[Miss Shirley's Café Baltimore] Cafe/Brunch spot in Baltimore, Miss Shirley's Café is a spot for Southern-inspired comfort food. They won various awards for their brunch and their warm hospitality/ service.There were so many things I wanted to try. Ended up getting their special the Cajun Shrimp, etc Skillet, veggie Sandwich, and of course, the sweet tea. The service and ambiance was amazing. The wait time was very long so I would definitely not recommend taking the chance of walking in if you really want to eat here. Been here a few times while I was in grad school and recall being it quite good. It's been over a decade since. This time we got the Coconut Cream Stuffed French Toast and Cold Spring Lane Crabby Grilled Cheese - the french toast was fluffy and filled with delicious coconut cream. The crabby grilled cheese was pretty amazing - the side of hash browns could use a little seasoning.

Consistently good and always worth the visit. Miss Shirley's lives up to the hype.(For some reason Yelp insists on more characters, so here they are!)

9/2024Cajun skilletSpicy. Not much sausage though. Only 1-2 pieces. Crab hash and fried green tomato eggs Benedict 8/10.Crab hash, not bad. Fresh ingredients. Would be better as like a salsa though.Fried green tomato was thick.Egg was poached perfectly with a runny yolk. Hollandaise did not have the traditional lemon flavor. But it was a good consistency and flavor though. Bourbon peach iced teaGood but little too much peach flavor. Strawberry lemonade Little watery, and needed to have slightly more sugar.

EXCELLENT choice for my daughter's and I to indulge in our Galentine's date!!! Surprised that on a Sunday we could walk right in and be seated with a smile. As for our meals, they had a great Restaurant Week menu, but the girls decided to keep it light (lol). The waffles were fluffy and buttery with the add ons they were THEE BOMB!!... few fruit and a delicious MissMosa topped my meal off and then it was gurl talk and good eats! We enjoyed it so much and the atmosphere was great. Not too loud, lighting was perfect and the low music was good too. Parking was surprisingly in our favor. We were almost in front of the restaurant and thankful that meters were not in effect! Happy Love Month!!

5 stars for Miss Shirley's! We had the pleasure of dining at Miss Shirley's and enjoyed everything about our experience.Most importantly, their food is DELISH! Husband ordered chicken & waffles, I got shrimp & grits. We both really loved the grits dish!! Very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Chicken and waffles was great too - the flavor was on spot, but we thought they could have made the chicken crispier.We ordered coffee, bottomless! Can't say no to free refills :). Service was great, fast. Everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We had a one year old and they provided coloring books & clean high chairs for kids. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely be back to try other dishes!

Wowie! So glad we chose to eat brunch here!Very cute atmosphere, immensely kind and attentive staff, very short wait. Andrew was our waiter and did a fantastic job!Food was stellar! Pimento Cheese Biscuits appetizer was so yummy. Not "cheesy" - truly just flavored that way. The pear jam was a nice touch! Husband had the shot Honey Chicken Wrap with grits and my son's hashbrowns and enjoyed it!Son had the OreoLes pancakes and it was a huge portion! He loved them!I had the Cubano Huevos sandwich and it was great! As a southerner, I wondered how they would do with pork and grits and both were great!Very satisfied! Would definitely come back!

It's such a warm inviting cafe. Conveniently located so it's easy access. My server was attentive and pleasant. The food- I can definitely see why they landed a spot on Guy Fieri's Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The food is delicious and flavorful. Marylands omelet was fluffy, well-set, and substantial. The Funky Monkey Bread- every bite tastes like the center of a cinnamon bun. Yall know what I'm talking about. It's made to pull apart the same way actual monkeys eat their food. Next time in Bmore I'll definitely pay another visit:) thank you!

Honestly such an amazing meal. And the real pop of it all was our waiter Johnathan he was so nice and caring. He helped us make choices and his smile is the best. I don't know if he's allowed to get promoted but please do! He felt like such a soul of that place
