Miski Peruvian Charbroiled Chicken

I've ordered from here plenty a few times and I am very pleased. It's never really busy when I come. I usually order ahead because I get the grilled shrimp and it takes a little longer. But the staff is always nice and friendly. The grilled shrimp skewers usually comes with 10 shrimp and they are grilled and seasoned perfectly, not over cooked. I always appreciate the white rice at the bottom which soaks up the seasoning from the shrimp. You can't go wrong with the chaufa rice paired with the shrimp. I have also tried the mixed grill which comes with steak, shrimp, and chicken. I've tried the mixed grill twice and the steak is a little tough. But In generally their food is really good. Try it for yourself!

I am surprised by the low rating of this excellent restaurant. I had 1/2 a charbroiled chicken with creamed spinach and fried plantains. My partner had the same with green beans and rice.The chicken was fantastic. The skin was crispy, chicken moist and very flavorful. I love Peruvian chicken and this is cooked over a coal or wood fire. I've eaten at El Gran Pollo and this chicken is better. The plantains were excellent and sweet and the creamed spinach much lighter than usual. My only complaint was that Miski serves Pepsi and not Coke (lol).We ate in and the service was excellent and the employees were very polite. I will come back here again.

My neighborhood spot for the grilled chicken cheese steak sandwich... if you can't get to Philly this is the closest to it

** 7 Year Updated Review **This place is still the #1 Peruvian spot, in my opinion. The food is always fresh, well presented, and delicious. My family and I usually get a Peruvian Chicken w a variety of sides. I will continue to support this business as they are simply the best !!

Came in because of the enticing odor of roasting chicken. And the food didn't disappoint. Peruvian chicken is moist and with lots of flavor. The fries are bathed in gravy and the rice brings it together. I went for pollo saltado (ONIONS) and while the serving was substantial, I still wanted to go back for seconds. Restaurant was empty with a steady stream of Door Dash and takeout. This is good food!

Absolutely LOVED the chicken from Miski. (I got a half chicken.)It is SO fresh and well-seasoned. I'm assuming the chicken is brined somehow, because the flavor is not just concentrated in the skin, but goes all the way through, and the meat is perfectly moist.For sides I got sweet plantains and spinach, both of which were wonderful. (However I wouldn't order the spinach to go next time because it's a bit messy/leaky in the bag.)And this review would not be complete without mentioning the green sauce, which would make anything you put it on taste good. And they are very generous with the sauces to boot. Speaking of generosity, the portions are huge at a really reasonable price point.I will surely be craving this chicken until my next visit to the Baltimore area.

this is my family's go-to takeout spot -- we have never NOT enjoyed our meal! i love the churrasco de pollo which is basically a thin grilled chicken breast which comes with 2 sides. the 1/4, 1/2, or whole roasted chicken is probably a better deal financially but i'm a creature of habit! the cheesy potatoes are fire but the fried plantains are easily my favorite side. definitely get the white sauce!i've never eaten in the restaurant so i can't speak much on the service but i've always had good experiences at the takeout counter. there is plenty of indoor seating and a large parking lot.

Love the chicken here and the sauces always hit. The service is quick and efficient. Just wish there was a little more light inside but overall a reliable spot.

Food fresh and hot. The shrimp are delicious. I got the grilled shrimp skewers with string beans and fried rice. I tried it with the medium and mild sauces. It was really tasty. Customer service 5 stars

I like going to this restaurant. They are very nice and I love their food. However, tonight I ordered a whole chicken with 2 sides and to my disappointment when I got home and got ready for dinner with my family we realized that my whole chicken consisted of 3 breast and 1 thigh.I feel cheated and I would recommend that you all check your orders before having your customers leaving the restaurant.
