We went for a work lunch after reading the place had a buffet. Surprise! They dont do buffets on weekdays. Anyway, we were starving so decided to give this place a shot. First of all, their lunch boxes are a decent size. You get a flavor of everything. Normally I would never have tried the vegetable korma but I got a chance to try it in the lunch box and it was divine. Highly recommend. Everything else wasnt bad. The owner should realize that DMV now has a huge variety of South Indian food options. To get customers to come back, they will need to add that extra kick to the flavor. It was just another Indian restaurant - same flavor that you can find anywhere. The service was very good though. I am not sure if we were helped by the owner himself but who ever it was he was truly nice and helpful.

Our favorite restaurant in Columbia MD... This place is a must visit. The ambience is great. Really, like the small but specialized menu. Heaven for curry lovers and some good options to drink as well. The staffs are very polite and helpful. All COVID-19 protocols are followed. The food is extremely rich with intense mouthwatering flavors, where the meats literally melt in your mouth. You must try this place in case you haven't. The staff is super attentive and very friendly. Absolutely love dining here. The Paneer Tikka, Papdi Chat, Samosa and the chicken (malai) is stunning. Truly makes you feel like you're at a some really special place. Portions are generous and flavor is rich. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The food--absolutely delicious. At first we were confused what Mirchi Wok and Mango Grove were doing connected to same building through different doors, but we realized Mango Grove is the name of the part of the restaurant that specializes in completes vegetarian food, while Mirchi Wok specializes in meat dishes. You have access to both for one price; note there are considerably more vegetarian dishes over meat dishes. However, both the vegetarian and meat dishes were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I couldn't get enough of everything, and if you similarly love Indian food this is the place for you. (Honestly even if you don't like Indian food this place will convert you lol). Terrific hospitality--we came in the early afternoon partially for the lamb dish, of which we were told they ran out for the lunch buffet (which didn't make sense at the time). However, minutes later our server and the manager said they would make more and even served us our own plate, just out of courtesy even though the buffet item was already replaced!

It's amazing how many places in this area are closed at 10:00 pm. I was glad to find the OPEN sign lit up at 10:15. This is a very nice place! Cloth table linens, china plates, and heavy silverware. I'm a little new to Indian food. I requested the butter chicken "served mild." The very courteous waiter quickly brought A bowl with wafer thin bread, crispy and mild, along with some mysterious sauces to dip it in. This was soon followed by a large bowl with fragrant rice, and smaller bottle with lumps of chicken in a delightful sauce. It was more than I could eat in one sitting and I was happy to box up the rest and take it home for tomorrow.

Their lunch buffet is awesome. Its a indo- chinese fusion. their starters are exactly what you expect to be if you were to eat in a chinese restaurant in India. I especially loved their Broccoli 65 and the pani puris. the service was good and food was fresh!

2 stars means "Meh. I've experienced better." And I'm sad to say that yes I have after eating here. It's not horrible at all. But I think there are other places that I've tried that are definitely better.I had the chicken tikka masala. here they give you a choice of wanting it mild, medium or hot. I chose medium. It was just ok. The chicken was a bit dry and the sauce was just lacking in the creaminess that I'm used to at other restaurants. I also had the regular naan and that was ok. But I've had other naans which were quite fluffier in texture, so I guess this one fell a bit flat for me.Maybe I just ordered the wrong things because the table next to me seems to be really enjoying themselves. And it was pretty busy. So maybe I just missed something...

Saturday was the first time we visited the new location. The last time I went when they were still next to Chik-Fil-A was a disappointing experience. Went with some co-workers for a lunch buffet in the middle of the week and the buffet was small and food was very bland.Fast forward 3 years. They are now located in the space formerly occupied by Mongolian Grill. After some Saturday errands, the wife and I were going to try out Royal Taj near Green Turtle for lunch but the place was packed. Since we had already convinced ourselves we wanted Indian food, we decided to try Mirchi Wok. I remembered my less-than-stellar experience but decided to suck it up since she wanted Indian. We walked in and there were only 3 other tables occupied, which was odd after seeing Royal Taj filled to the brim. Things weren't looking good for this place. They've re-used the serving space left behind by Mongolian Grill so it appears there is much more food offerings than their old location. The foods are labeled so you know what you're getting for the most part. Seating space also increased. After the first few bites, my old memory of their bland food disappeared and was replaced by the yumminess of the naan, the goat, the curry potatoes, and the fragrant rice. The food quality was much improved. I don't know if tandoori chicken is supposed to be dry but every time I've had it at any Indian restaurant (whether buffet or off the menu), it's been dry. That was really the only thing I did not enjoy at lunch. They have soups, salads, and dessert, too.The servers were very attentive. Even though they leave the water pitcher at the table with you, they were constantly stopping by our table to refill our water glasses for us. Plates were cleared in a timely manner. About 15 minutes into our meal, the place started filling up with many people, most of whom were Indian (so that's a good sign). We overheard the couple behind us tell the server and the owner (a nice lady) that they were vegan. She went over their menu what vegan offerings they had. I stopped listening early on since I could barely understand her English but it was nice of her to take the time to go over the food choices with them. When they first arrived at the restaurant, she took them around to the food items to explain what they were. I wish we would've asked somebody what this and that sauce was but we tend to just try and experiment. Will have to try the vegetarian offerings at Mango Grove next.

We arrived at this restaurant prompt and on time for our reservation to celebrate my nieces 14th birthday because she wanted to try something new and different. When our waiter finally arrived (after 20 minutes) he didn't ask us if this was our first time to this restaurant but instead asked what we wanted to drink. We waited approximately 15 minutes more to receive water but at the same time I noticed that people who arrived after us received a craft of water and their appetizers! Just about 10 minutes later we received our drinks. After our drinks arrived the waiter returned to take our order I ordered a chicken dish and I also wanted a side of broccoli. The waiter quickly said "no" and he pointed me to a broccoli dish that was $16.75, which is ridiculous! The waiter stated "that this is a family restuarant"! He said that the dish I ordered came with rice and that I could share my rice......but I just wanted a side of Broccoli, but the waiter made it clear that that was not happening! The appetizers that we ordered came one after the other instead of together. And the Naan bread was burned and was not great.Literally, people who arrived after us were now leaving and now we were waiting for our waiter to perhaps follow-up with to make sure we were good....that did not happen!!!I finally went to the front of the restaurant to ask for our check and some to-go boxes. On my way to the front of the restaurant I noticed some of the food on some of the other customers tables looked delish but we just didn't know how to order. Which brings me back to our waiter. This guy made no suggestions, he just seemed very impatient (borderline RUDE) with us because clearly we had no idea how to order or what was popular to order. We like to try different restaurants and cultures but with this place you are not welcome if you are not familiar with the culture. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We were there for dinner while driving through Maryland. We have ordered few items from their menu, and I must say they were amazing - Indo Chinese food & Dosas. Veg Hakka Noodles was awesome (just like how we get it from street hawkers in Mumbai) so was the Maisur Masala dosa. We got all our orders quickly. Overall, the experience was great.Lastly all staff at this place is so polite and kind. Our server was very helpful, and the place was busy at the time we visited but even then, he paid attention. Would recommend this place and will definitely visit again. This place never disappoints, highly recommend if you're in Columbia, MD Area! Extremely good customer service and delicious food!Kudos to the Mirchi Wok and Mango Grove team!!
