Came here for the first time for dinner with some friends. Hubby and I ordered their bread basket (with a variety of naan bread), Kashmiri naan, a couple of drinks, chicken vindaloo and aloo Goni. Total ca,e our to a little over $80 (not including tip). What's hot- Quality. Pretty good. Their food was pretty well-seasoned. Their naan bread and bread basket was the best. The bread came out warm, soft and well-seasoned. The rest of our dishes were good, but nothing to write home about.- Portions. Pretty good value for money.- Spice level. Their chicken vindaloo actually had a slight kick, which was good. - Service. Decent. They didn't push us or rush us, which was nice, especially because our group talked quite a bit, haha.... - Location. Pretty easy to find and there are a decent number of spots to park, which is helpful. What's not- Spice level. My husband's chicken vindaloo was spicy, but not by much. If you have a good tolerance for spice, be aware you may not get much here.- Service. They don't appear well-staffed. I only spotted 2 waiters. Be prepared for slow service. - No pina coladas. It's on their drinks menu, but they didn't have it while we were there. It wasn't a busy night, either, so it doesn't appear they ran out due to high customer volume. This may seem trivial, but it's a basic drink. For them not to have it was surprising and it makes me wonder what other basics they don't have. Final answerWilling to come back, but may not be a first choice.

I live near Mint and only get it because of proximity. The food is good but on the bland side. I went there for takeout and I am 99% certain that ONE man was operating as chef, host, and waiter. There was no one else there and my to go order took 40 minutes longer than it was supposed to - with this one man running back and forth between the kitchen for extended periods and into the dining area. But - their food isn't bad. Just lower your expectations a bit. I do wish they could add a bit more flavor and also make the place a bit nicer. It's a little on the tacky side in regards to decor, so we always do take out. But when I don't feel like driving to Columbia, I prefer Mint over Amanda any day!

Really impressed! Came here for a farewell dinner for a colleague on a Tuesday night. After passing it twice, I finally found the entrance to the little shopping center. You can't see it from the road but plenty of parking. Beautiful place inside! Very quiet when we first started eating but it quickly filled up. The staff was very accommodating when we seemed to order one of everything. Personally I could have lived off the mint mojito and garlic naan. I ate several things I can't name but the medium spiced butter chicken was my favorite. There was a spicy lentil dish and some fried items. Will absolutely put it on the go back list!

This was our first visit. We were looking for an Indian buffet and this option came up on Yelp. The interior is nice. We were greeted at the door and seated. Let's say it wasn't a warm greeting and communication was less than stellar. We were brought water but not asked if we wanted other drinks which we ordered. We notice our table had stains and had not been wiped down well from prior seatings. We went for our food and was pleasantly surprised with the variety offered. Everything we tried was flavorful and had the right amount of spice for us. We asked the server if we could get some naan and he said it was coming but we weren't aware of that part. The other issue was the floors were not clean as we both had our shoes sticking to the floor. The food was great but service and cleanliness were lacking.

It's hit or miss at this place for both the food and the service. When it's good, it's great. When it's not, it's terrible. I work nearby and have been frequenting this place for 3+ years now. I usually order for pick-up, but I have dined in twice. I almost always get the chicken tikka masala. Sometimes, the food is spectacular (chicken is tender and flavorful), other times the chicken is bland and overcooked. The sauce has remained consistent though and I like that you can specify your spiciness level on a scale of 1-10 with noticeable differences between the spice levels. The portions vary as well. They keep changing their take-out containers and the portion sizes are noticeably different. Sometimes they have the aluminum pans and other times they have the plastic take-out containers. I even commented once that the take-out and dine-in portion sizes are noticeably different. The service is just as inconsistent. Some days I walk in to a warm, welcoming, friendly smile. Other days, I get cold and disinterested service. My two dine-in experiences had the same level of inconsistency. My first time, the service was top notch. The second time, I came in and sat out front for 10 minutes (no exaggeration) waiting for service. Someone came out at the 8-min mark, but he was on his earpiece on a call and didn't even acknowledge me. I hollered out "hello?" several times, but I ultimately had to walk behind the bar and peek my head behind the curtains to get service. So, like I said, hit or miss. When it's good, it's great. When it's not, it's not.

We had a great carry out meal. The veggie samosas were excellent, perfect crust and delicious. The salmon tikka and veggie tikka masala were mildly spicy as requested and were both excellent. Naan - perfect texture and yummy. This was the fifth time we have had carry out from them and there will be sixth, seventh eighth...

Disappointing on many levels but specifically for the food poisoning that one of us got after eating the shrimp curry. We both shared every item except this one dish and my partner ended up sick about 4-6 hours afterward through the night with vomiting and diarrhoea. Thankfully resolved by the following day but a miserable experience and there was no question as to the source based on the food we ate there and our prior shared food intake. The fact the place was empty when we visited and we were the only ones in the restaurant might have given us a clue.

A couple questions. 1) Is this $22 worth of Butter Chicken? (See pic)2) Does Howard County really require they charge a $2 pick up fee to cover plastic containers? (That's one I haven't heard before)With Ananda in your back yard, quality should be at least half as good......or at least the quantity should be sufficient. I wanted to be a Mint fan....today's experience prevented that. The two stars are for a very good Palak Panter.

Horrible customer service. Ordered takeout. Arrived on time and had to 20 minutes for food. Once home, found 2 items were not included in the food we received. Called them immediately and asked to adjust the credit card charge and they said they would but did not. Called again when charge posted. They said they would call me back but did not. When they answer the phone, the person is either not speaking English, or is not understandable. If you try to order on-line, multiple websites try to intercept your request, and show different prices for the same item. We called in our order instead, but was very hard to communicate with the person on the phone
