The reason I give this place 4 stars and not 2 is because of the food, it is really good. They have an area for you to eat in but it doesn't look inviting and it's not cleaned up after each person. Great place to get food that tastes homemade and not break the bank.

Thais place is just plane bad. I stopped in because I had a craving for a crab cake and they are close by. Boy was that a mistake. The place smells like a seafood market so you would expect it to be ok. I ordered 2 crab cakes and a half and half. The half and half was good not to sweet and not too watered down. The crab cakes had a very strong smell. When I bit in i tasted all filler. I pulled the crab cakes apart and barely found any actual crab meat in them. I won't be back here ever. I suggest if you are lookin for good seafood go somewhere else.

It was worth the spontaneous visit as Mid Atlantic Seafood is either always busy or looks closed down. Luckily for me and people surrounding the area, it's not. Upon entering there is a hot foods case with several main dishes and side items. The menu is large and confusion set in. I saw baked chicken wings, turkey wings, salisbury steak in gravy, chitterlings, BBQ chicken, baked fish, mashed potatoes, sauteed squash, steamed rice, candied yams, candied apples, mac & cheese, gravy, corn, etc. The hot food items vary day by day, hour by hour. Most of the fish items were served as either a sandwich or a dinner. Immediately, I opted for the dinner because it includes 2 sides. I ordered the whiting dinner, which includes 3 pieces of fish. The sides I picked were yams, collard greens, string beans and a cabbage/broccoli/ carrot mix. The fish is ALWAYS fried fresh for every order and the wait is about 15 minutes. The fish was alright in my book with basically no bones, though a little salt would help. I added hot sauce to kick it up because that's just what you do baby! I think they serve Frank's! The collards were fresh, big leaves, tender and I added hot sauce to these too. I like hot sauce in greens from just about anywhere. The candied yams were somewhat sweet and cinnamoney. The string beans taste like fresh out of a can and no seasoning. I wasn't too upset because at least they weren't greasy, so, my whole meal wasn't a grease fest. The mixed veggies were fresh, needed salt but I enjoyed it. I opted for cornbread instead of white bread with my meal. Little on the dry side but fresh all the same. My meal rang up to about $9/10 with a bottled soda. Depending how much you eat, you may have half of your meal as leftovers, that's a good deal. Mid Atlantic Seafood sells crabs by the dozen and bushel, fresh or steamed. People enjoy their seasonings enough to come back or order from the other side of town. Fresh shrimp, snow cran clusters too. As well, the food is comfort food when I went I saw a group of 10 people enjoying their bit of heaven. Large groups are good signs. Last tip is the beer and wine section in the back. Prices are maybe a dollar higher than surrounding liquor stores, but there is the convenience of eating while drinking. I'll return for sure.

Please do not waste your time coming here. Food looks good but taste bland. I ordered the turkey wings first but they were undercooked so I took them back and they replaced it with 2 wings and a quarter leg. Still bland and chicken was rubbery. The sweet potatoes were not sweet at all and the greens were flavorless. If you are looking for some soul food, this is not the place. If I could give no stars, I would.

I work down the street & have become a regular for lunch. Wasn't expecting a whole lot as I am a frequenter of these chicken n fish type of establishments. Buffet style setup. Food is not great but not at all bad. Nothing to write home about. The price is what keeps me coming back. Also the service is fast. It's never been very busy when I go around the lunch hour but there are always people inside when I go. Parking is very limited and tight. They also serve beer and have maryland lottery on several t.v.'s. The cheesesteak is the best thing I've had so far because who wants to spend on seafood for lunch takeout? I did ask for an order or popcorn shrimp once but the owner/manager?? advised me against it stating that it came in a box and was not tasty. Always greeted with a smile when I walk in and I have never been told I have a friendly face. Service and price got them 4 stars from me. Food like I said is good. Not great, def not bad.

Mmmmm.....If your craving good seafood and very hungry....keep driving ! If you do buy food, once your hunger subsides, you will be disappointed .Very mediocre food over fried seafood platter and the crabs are a rip off.... they tried to pass small crabs off as large. I gave 2 stars because they were willing to trade the crabs for another item ....Overall this was disappointing....

I wanted catfish with mac and cheese. The catfish was fine, but the mac and cheese is clearly from the box. Ugh.
