Mica's Restaurant

I grabbed a quick bite at Mica Restaurant while staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC Silver Spring. It was conveniently located in the hotel which made it appealing. It was a clean, casual vibe typical of a hotel bar and dining space. Service was a bit slow but friendly.I ordered the Mica Burger (medium well) w/cheddar cheese, seasoned fries, and cauliflower tempura. The burger was good, and loved the fries. The cauliflower tempura was a splurge, but got a happy hour deal for $5, which was nice.Overall, would recommend and a solid choice for a convenient meal, especially if you're staying at the hotel.

I had the Steak Frities and Oscars pale ale it was a great tasty dinner after a long drive. It was also lovely to see Julio again at the bar who I ironically remembered from the Hilton Garden Bethesda before the pandemic. I even mentioned him in that review. He and his colleague who manned the bar that night were fabulous. I will stay here again.

Hotel has a tired buffet style breakfast, not worth the charge. Paper thin bacon, french toast was like crackers, just not worth the price. Food is a C+, had a continental breakfast vibe you get from the hotels along the interstate. Staff were polite, and nice. A very clean eating area, but food was not memorable.

Have had the Steak Frites here before, and it was fine. Friendly staff snd super convenient for a snowy night's stay at the Sheraton!So maybe braised short ribs are hard to mess up, but the special on a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes was sooooooo heavenly! Made me commit to braising short ribs at home! Angela is upbeat and very helpful, knowledgeable about the drafts - they have always have a nice selection with so many local breweries!

Was expecting more. I had a NY steak with salad and green beans. The steak was cooked and seasoned nicely. However, the steak was not trimmed properly, there was too much gristle. Too over priced for me. I enjoyed Tastee Diner more so than here.

Didn't know Mica's existed until I had to stay over at the Sheraton in Silver Spring. Now that I know, I will go back to get the shrimp sauteed in a lemon sauce, served with avocado and arugula. That's what I'm basing my 5 stars on.

Small dinner after traveling. Everything was closed at 7:30pm! Ordered chicken soup and fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken. Chicken soup was definitely Progresso! Didn't know blacken chicken meant burnt. Never had Alfredo with cherry tomatoes. Terrible food! Microwaved!

I go there for lunch and happy hour quite often. The selection is great. I especially love the crab cakes. I also enjoy the sandwiches and salads. For happy hour, the appetizers are some of the best deals to be had in the Silver Spring area. Nice ambiance - not too loud, but lively enough!

The food was horrible!! I'm a vegetarian and they only had 1 vegetarian option beside the salads and it was the VV tacos They were terrible the worst I've ever had. The arugula salad was also not so good. I only ate here a second time because I was staying at the hotel and everything else's was close. The bean and rice literally taste like it was made in the microwave. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. And the breakfast isn't so great for 16$...

There is a new chef here and you should try it. I travel a lot and avoid hotel restaurants as a rule. But I happened to be here on business and had lunch (it's not open for dinner). Absolutely a surprise! As flavorful empanadas as I've had anywhere for starters, and then an on point shrimp scampi: flavorful, perfectly cooked shrimp, not overpowering on garlic but solid, good pasta and full of flavor sauce.Really a surprise! Have your business lunch here. You won't regret it!
