I was in the area with a group of friends looking for a place to grab a bite on a Saturday evening; Mezcal looked solid so we decided to give it a try.The restaurant was quite busy; we checked in with the hostess and waited about 10 mins for a 4-top table. Not a bad wait time at all.The interior of the restaurant is surprisingly large; didn't expect to see that depth based upon how the spot looks on the outside. The decor is bright and vibrant; there was lively music playing as well which added to the positive environment. The bar, which sits 8-10 guests is tucked in the back of the bar - a little hard to find so not surprising to see that only 1-2 couple were sitting there. Our drinks were solid; we got a variety of margaritas. Each had a good flavor and seemed appropriately strong. The food was also quite solid. Started with complimentary chips and salsa; the chips were the perfect combo of salty, crunchy, and warm. The salsa was flavorful (but I wish it were a little thicker). We all enjoyed our entrees - I had the pork carnitas taco platter (3 tacos + rice and beans). The pork had great flavor. This is a great tex mex option. They flirt along the line of 'traditional' mexican fare and more common tex mex. Their menu is packed with options, all of which seem to be good selections.Pro tip: they have different drink specials on each day of the week. Make sure to check the back of the drink menu for the daily deal.

I ordered shrimp fajita nachos with avocado slices instead of guacamole, which was good. The peppers and shrimp were sautéed and seasoned well. The portion was large enough that I didn't have to order anything else. However, there was not enough tortilla chips for all of the toppings, which was odd because they give you so many chips with the complimentary chips and salsa that they serve when you first arrive... the price was okay. I also ordered a mango virgin daiquiri, which was good. The portion size is large and the price was very reasonable.Service: 2 stars... It took foreverrrrrrr for every item to come out. Our waiter seemed very confused, but I believe it was due to a language barrier. Whenever we asked for something, he would only provide some of what we requested. Like we asked for plasticware and he only put one pack on the table with 4 of us at the table... we asked for paper napkins and he placed 3 napkins on the table... we asked for straws, same thing... we asked for to go boxes same thing... so we asked for everything about 3 times each and even stated how many we needed after we noticed how confused he seemed to be... we were seated quickly though. Getting the bill took long too... asking for it to be split took even longer. 3 different people came over to ask what we had for the check... then 2 more people for a correction to an error that was made on the check. The temperature was cold inside of this restaurant. They need to turn up the heat a little.Parking is free in the shopping center lot, but it is quite busy and packed at the shopping center. Decor was okay.Visit if you have no where else to be because service takes a while, but the food was good (nothing wow) and the drink price was great.

I'm a big fan of Mexican food, and this place was great several years ago. So, we went back and...- super slow service. It took 30 minutes for food to come out, which would be ok if it was hot, fresh and made to order but,- my grilled chicken was "crunchy", like rubber- my daughters chicken quesadillla had chicken that was burned, dry and just tasted of char- my wife's chimichanga had several hairs in it. Hairs.Staff were nice. But otherwise, why go back? I'd be happier at Taco Bell and save 50% or more

Recommend by my nephew. Really authentic Mexican restaurant, good music and nice murals. Seated at once by Mark and he was our waiter as well. Drink order taken and returned quickly, kept the tea full. Ordered the combo plate. Bro ordered the shrimp salad. Both were excellent. The service was outstanding and the price was nice as well. Speaking Spanish is a plus. Recommend

A beautiful day in Baltimore called for some outdoor dining. Marvin C was a one-man show here. He sat us on the patio, prepared our tableside guacamole, took our orders, brought our orders and checked us out....all while flashing a razzle dazzle smile and maintaining a positive attitude. The guacamole was delicious, as were the enchiladas. Both entrees made for leftovers.

I hate to do this but after my last three visits I have to change my review from five stars to 3 stars. I don't know what happened but there has been a decline in the quality of food. I really used to love their food but now it's bland and stale tasting. All the dishes kinda taste similar to each other. The chips are stale and no flavor. My mother-in-law ordered the taco salad and it was just mushy looking soup at the bottom of the shell. My chicken chimichanga was so bland and tasted so uniform to all the other chicken dishes Ive tried. My wife had potato flautas was this weird mashed sweet potatoes in the flautas. She says it tasted so bizarre and not what she expected. I'm just so disappointed with this place. It used to be so good. What happened?

Graduation lunch celebration with grad, dad (moi) and closest immediate family. That would be six of us that particular day. This was my first visit but not the graduate's. After being greeted and seated, our server took our drink orders. Most ordered water. Or iced tea. Yours truly ordered water and Mexican Coke. Grad ordered the guacamole appetizer which was prepared table side. It was the best ever. Our main courses were all great. Mine was the Gordo Burrito. What a treat! So big I took half of it home. Everyone else liked their grub. The place looks authentic. Service good. Prices very fair.

Once again, got so excited to eat, but I forgot to remember what I ordered. Had these wonderful tacos that had a little bit of a sweetness like a churro fabulous beans and rice and a yummy grapefruit flavored cocktail. Can't wait to come again

Stopped here for a small bite to eat with my family. The restaurant offers outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside in a shaded area.Chips and salsa were provided upon seating. For drinks we had the jalapeño Margarita and the cucumber mint margarita. I love a true spicy Margarita. The jalapeño Margarita is made with jalapeño purée, the heat & flavor level was excellent. The cucumber mint margarita was refreshing with nice flavor. The shrimp quesadilla had a nice flavor, the shrimp were a good size. The nachos were just okay. I was not a fan of the chicken nachos. The bean nachos were probably my favorite. It's surprising that the bean nachos were better than the beef and chicken nachos. We asked for a side of sour cream and weren't told that we'd be charged for it. I think customers should never be surprised about an item on their bill, the server should inform that there is a small fee for such items. I might come back because of the nice ambiance and I'm curious about the other items on the menu.
