Maxwell's Burgers & Shakes

This is such a darling burger and shake joint!The milkshakes were soooo delicious. The kitchen somehow found a recipe that wasn't too heavy but still offered that creamy and rich milkshake consistency. I normally have to be rolled out of a restaurant if I have burgers and a shake (so I've only attempted this once or twice in my life), but this combination was no problem at Maxwell's! Definite brownie points. I had the wagyu burger with the sweet potato tater tots. It has been a few months since I dined here, and I am still intrigued by these tots! They are dusted in sugar, and the salty/sweet combination is quite addicting! The staff was quite friendly and the vibes very chill. I can't wait to come back!

Short sweet and straight to the point....you have to try a burger from Maxwells with their special sauce ! This is one of the best burger and fry combo in downtown Frederick and the milkshakes are also amazing !! The service is always great and I love the cute little cafe vibe to dine in. It's downtown Frederick, so you're going to have to either park in a garage or find street parking. Parking is free on Sundays downtown !!

Stopped by on my way home with a friend. The staff was super amazing - very professional, courteous and kind. As soon as we walked in, we were attended too. We were seated, provided water and time to review the menu. Our waiters explained the menu and options. The food looked amazing! The only downside was that I asked for a medium well burger and it was all pink in the inside; very unfortunate. We ended up trying their shakes, it was a nice dessert. Fun experience and great atmosphere. This is downtown so it's parallel parking unless you park at a garage, which you do have to pay for.

We have lived in Frederick a while and tried Maxwell's when they first opened but have not been back. Not for any real reason just don't eat out for lunch as much.In any case tried them today and it was awesome. I had the build your own burger which was perfect - great bread and cooked just right. The best burger I can remember having in a while. My wife had a salad which she liked as well.Service was friendly and attentive. We are moving within the city and our new location will be about a 3 minute walk from Maxwell's - we will be back for sure.

Best burger in town. I always tell my friends that if it wasn't for the holy grail - aka cheeseburger, I could become a vegetarian...and this place only makes me feel more passionate about it!! This burger tasted like it came right off the grill, and the patty was not too thick and cooked to perfection- I topped it with smoked cheddar, fried onions, lettuce, pickle...and unlike most burgers - it held together the entire time. The fries were perfectly seasoned and fresh cut...if you like ranch w yours - order it here- it's soo good and fresh! Ohhh and the unsweetened tea was refreshing - raspberry hint? ! My husband ordered the peanut butter cup shake and it was perfection. Keep doing what y'all are doing. Such a cute little burger joint inside as well.

A very mixed experience. The food was fantastic, but the service was slow, and the server wasn't very nice - not just to us, but we noticed with other diners. Had the beet burger, which was delicious, as were the fries. We may give it another try, but someone needs to find another server to hire - one without a stick up her rear. I'd say a solid 3.5.

It's a little pricy, but this cute little place has excellent burgers and fries. My daughter had one of their shakes and really liked it. Service is quick and friendly.
