We all love pizza ...OMG !!! This place is the bestI have eaten here before on a past visit to Baltimore and on a recent visit had the opportunity to dine here againI had pizza at other places in Baltimore, but this is the place for THE PIZZA !!!!

I know this place has been noted as some of the best pizza in the city! I just wasn't fan of the crab pie. Too many onions, and there wasn't a sauce to help bring out the flavors (like an Alfredo or another creamy white sauce).It is a small pizza shop, but they have a dedicated area for "adults only," which was nice as there were families dining and some crying babies. Service was solid, although the pizza took quite some time to come out. We got an order of fries to snack on while we waited and the fries were delicious. I don't know if they were hand-cut, but they had a classic taste.I would come back again to try something else to try a classic pizza and see if that one does the trick.

If you haven't heard yet, Matthew's is a classic Baltimore pizza shop and the pizza is delicious every single time, whether you're eating in, getting delivery, or picking up. Last night we picked up Buffalo Chicken and the Popeye and Olive Oil pizzas, both 10" and they were sooo good.

It was on my must try Baltimore pizza list so I visited shortly after moving to the city. Since then I have been back a few times for a few variations but have yet to dine inside. The dining area is small but looks cozy enough to sit for a meal.The pizza is good and even better, for me, a little closer to well done. Ingredients are plentiful and fresh, the customer service has been consistent, and I always seem to find a space close by to run in and grab my pie. Solid pie.

Matthew's Pizza has been around since the early '40s, and they're known for their Crab Pie.We came here to check their pizzas out, and the place was cute and cozy. Note that there's many who calls in to place orders to go, and some ingredients may run out.We ordered:+the 3 Cheese Pie - with hand-grated mozzarella, reggianito, and ricotta; I think we should have gone for the simple 1- or 2-cheese pie, as the ricotta was just not good in here; there were just clumps of it that was not spread around and didn't seemed to be cooked all the way through+the Crab Pie - topped with backfin crab meat, hand-grated mozzarella, caramelized onions, and Old Bay seasoning; this looked great visually, as there was crab that covered all the surface area; however, not sure how fresh the crab was, as it did have a 'fishy' odor and taste to itThe sizes of the pies seemed like personal pan pizzas; the crust, similar to a pan-style. It was stated that they come out 'well-done', but I felt that we should have requested 'extra well-done' or 'extra crispy'.There was only one staff member who was working, and she was on it! She was able to take orders on the phone, for carry-outs, and service all the tables.Street parking can be found around the area.+friendly staff

Y'all!!! I don't know what took me so long to get to Matthew's pizza but I'm so glad I went. This place was super cozy with authentic pizza joint vibes written all over it. The nice lady that took care of us while we were there recommended the meat lovers and I am so happy I listened. The pizza was kind of deep dish style which is my favorite with crispy edges. It came out piping hot with ingredients so fresh it will make you want to cry. Every table was full by the time we left. The prices were reasonable and the pizza was amazing. If you love pizza like myself, you have to try Matthews pizza. It actually lived up to the hype. I'll be back very very soon. Plenty of street parking available. Just be ready to parallel park and you're all set.

20 years ago, my grandfather introduced me to this wonderful place. He taught me many life lessons that I'll carry to this day. Yet the most unforgettable lesson he ever taught me was to always get a large. It's the most unique and nostalgic pizza in the northern hemisphere. In fact it is worth a road trip. If Portnoy hasn't reviewed this pizza yet, do it soon. Come on Dave... 5 stars!
